While I don't use mods, I do remember seeing it said that currently the Mod and the incest patch both target the same files, making them incompatible. The Modder is working on it I believe

okay so I don't know what i'm doing wrong here, but not matter what order I put the Incest and cheat mods into the game, it seems like I can only have one of those two active.
Is this a known issue?

Only if you want that. You can avoid that, but then there is no sex for the mom yet.

No. You get two options, try to save mom, which triggers a quick time event which is pass or die, and just allowing mom to be raped.

The quick time event is simply clicking on two icons, one of the left side of the screen and another on the right. Fail and you die, and if you keep going rather than stopping and going back I believe you can see the horrible outcome for your mom.
If you do the event you live and save your mom. The event is not hard, and even if you fail, you get shown dying before anything else so you can easily go back and redo the event without seeing anything happen to the mom.
