VN - Ren'Py - Aihvala [v0.4] [MaterTuaGames]

There is a missing image error every few minutes playing this game. I'd probably give it 4 stars without this as it's a good game overall. Good story, characters, scenes. The errors are just so annoying though as I keep missing out on content.

Good medieval setting, pretty common of a setting but the characters are attractive in their own ways and diverse in the niche they provide, milf, the gilf, brother's girlfriend, slutty blonde, etc, I didn't go for the little sister because I'm not into loli characters and I am thrilled the author didn't force a romantic relationship.

The problems with this game are the grammar, the overall English, and the absolute rush of a plot that lowered a star. You go from meeting all these characters in the village, culminating in a festival. The game moves well, and then raiders attack. You turn out to be the bastard son of the king, and you suddenly are in a castle. There definitely needed to be more between the points of the story; it's like we went from Point A to Point D, missing points B and C on the way. I also didn't appreciate that we couldn't save more people from the village, they might still be alive and in the village still, I don't know, we got rushed to a castle with no payoff there.

It's an alright game, but it is VERY obvious that English is not the author's first language, and the plot is very very very rushed. Slow down, you can advance the main plot slowly and focus more on character moments to make a better story, I was enjoying the village part until the story got rushed.

Worth a try, especially the medival age setting and the characters are arousing so is the story devlopment. Experience the taboo and thrill of being the prince or king.

Aihvala is RIGHT on my interests but it's very early in dev.
The renders are good, The writingh especially repeated use of ZFroiend is a bit weird and coinfusing hope the dev Proof read their script.
The great thing about this AVN is the situations it create for the interaction.

There is much left to be done, But the game excels at focusing on its competency, but keeping enough variety in settings and girls so that it doesn't become stale.
The future stuff that neded improvemnets require BGM, more clean Female Models , that are not of older generationa dn agian wonky writing that need proof read.

Overall I enjoyed my time
Will recommend for all who come here to it as a sandbox game.

Overall comments:

Decent potential so far. Good character models, a promising plot (albeit there is not much to the plot in the current version), and I love the whole premise of the medieval setting in which the game takes place in.

The overall harem vibes I'm getting from the game are quite nice, to say the least. I just wish there was more content to advance the plot further as not much of the overarching story has been revealed just yet. Hence, content wise there is not a whole lot in the game for the current version (i.e., v0.4).

Regardless, the plot, character development, and setting of the game is quite good. I'm interested in seeing future updates and where the story will progress from here on out, and how the MC will grow his harem as well.

This game has tremendous potential!
Not much content atm but if some serious work is put into it, I can see this becoming one of the greater games on here.
It cateres to many fetishes that can be avoided if you don't want to engage in that and I am really exited to see where the story goes from here. A game where you want to read the story is kinda rare so please keep this gem going.

The world needs more game like this, the graphics are not good as the top 5 games, but they are good enough to be one of the top games in the future. About the story... well is captivating. The characters and how they were made(the models) are good, the decitions you could make, have an impact in the outcome. It's a good game, not the best but with the potential to be one of them.

With little content [v0.4], it already provides a great experience. The text is simple (no overthinking and narration) but well written, the sex is quite straightforward with good animations - there is no relationship building (so far), just like that grab what you want. The plot is quite nice and funny. It's not an overcomplicated story, easygoing at it's best. I hope for a big update soon.

Version 0.4

Early version is fairly short but has a lot of potential

• Good natural models
  • Big, small and medium curves
  • Old, young and in between
    • Might not be for everyone but scenes are optional
  • Hairy and non-hairy versions, but hairy seems the way to go
  • Nice expressions
• Pretty decent animations
  • Most sexual content has some animation
  • However, almost half of pure sexual content is extra and non-story relevant, kept in a Patreon exclusive version(but this isn't mentioned at the beginning of the game(and probably should be) so most players think the game is broken or missing content)
    • But there is still plenty of sexual content in the regular version(so far)
• Writing is fine
  • But there are frequent errors where the wrong character name is displayed over the text box
• UI and interactivity
  • Neither bad nor good, but the UI is simple and effective, there are occasional clicking quick time event minigames that work fine
    • There are 'travel' sections where one has a background and must find the appropriate characters or doorways to progress, but can not necessarily intuitively tell which are optional and which will progress the story. Though this can be easily solved on the player's end by reloads.

Overall I think its pretty good for what it is, story moves at a fast pace and regularly provides sexual content without completely ignoring narrative. Fairly short for now but has lots of potential and dev promises comparatively frequent updates, just hope they don't overextend with all the planned tags and setting, where too many characters, diverging storylines, or catering to too many genres will detract from the central content.

A lot of promise here. I'm a sucker for a good upskirt. The writing is reasonably good, and I like the character designs for the ladies. The only quibble I have at the moment is that there are some capitalization errors in the text, which isn't really that bothersome. I'm looking forward to seeing how things develop.

(Review of v0.4)

This could be the beginning of a nice story but it requires some polishing, starting with the writing as it is too rough to be called just decent. The models are OK but look weird from certain angles, for instance that first time the woman at your house bends over.

The story is also a bit sketchy at this early stage, it feels like everything happens too fast. Some music would also help making the game more enjoyable.

I try to review (or even play) games too early in their dev cycle. But this one (v0.4) deserves a shout-out. It is fantastic! Slightly linear (but with enough choice to be called a 'game', even if choices are just 'see content or don't'). The graphics aren't AAA but they are really hot and fitting for what they want to be. The content pushes the edges of taboo and doesn't try to sugar-coat things (old people are old, unpleasant things are unpleasant) which is incredibly refreshing. And yet it feels 'chill' and none-stressful - like you can just have fun and be bad (or good) and enjoy the journey. I can't wait to see more.

Love the variety, and the peach fuzz was a great detail. I'm looking forward to the rest of the game, especially because I'm not falling asleep skipping hours of pointless, poorly written test.

Not bad. Some typos here and there but those can be fixed. Also, there are some instances of it labeling the MC as Catherine, probably a typo of a variable in the code or something. But it's easily readable and understandable and it seems like if there is a tag you don't like it will be avoidable which is always appreciated. The story and lewd content is fun so far. I will be keeping my eye on this one's development and i wish the dev the best of luck in designing and making his game.

Aihvala [v0.3 Prologue Final]

To be honest I quite enjoyed this game which has some fine plus points, it's not without some minus points too however.

Let's get to things that I can think of that I didn't like:

I didn't like the kind of janky way in which you receive blowjobs, it just looks kind of awkward and juttering, it's passable but it just has an odd look to it and I didn't derive pleasure from it if I'm honest. The sex is a bit of a multi-speed thrusting simulator, it always just seems funny when she for example says: "fuck me harder!!", the speed just goes up a tick with three eventual speeds on the gear until coom.

The choices are flimsy, either you want to see erotic stuff or you don't, of course the best option is to just see all the erotic content that you can, there's as of right now in this short prologue no incentive or punishment whatsoever when choosing options, I'm sure that this will get addressed should the game be developed further.

Without the "incest" patch I think that it'd be a bit limited when it comes to the women, you have two chicks who are practically the same and an "aunty" who is a gilf in actuality. I said "incest" because the story could be developed in a certain way, who knows?

Like with "Kingdom Come: Deliverance", the quick reaction mini-games could become annoying.

All the men (except for Martin and your big dick) seem to be near complete wastrels. I find it more enjoyable to fuck the wife, girlfriend, mother or sister, etc of someone who's respectable. I think that there's more fun to be had in that. Fucking the wife of a loser doesn't fill me with any guilty feelings whatsoever, it's entirely deserved, justifiable and consequently less naughty... which is bad, I guess.

I'd like for there to be some semblance of shame or medieval modesty even if it's a flimsy charade, I'd like for different women to have differing boundaries and requirements for temptation. I feel like it's just too easy, there needs to be a bit more build up, more shock and a chased attitude from the women, I want to earn it, I'd like for situations to feel spontaneous, almost accidental, a gradual corruption. It all feels like an inevitable one man band, no competition and it's like you don't have to put in any effort, I want these women to fall from grace in various ways.

What I do like about the game:

There's great potential for developing the story and World building, with this prologue you're barely seeing the tip of the iceberg, it's another one of those games that could be fantastic, a case of "we'll see".

I like the design of practically everything in the game, the look of the characters, the medieval theme, it's all pretty nice to look at. I'm pretty sure near the end I saw some fantasy elements creep in, I don't know if it'll aid or punish the game's general feel. Some want medieval realism while some like sword & sorcery, it'll be yet another case of "we'll see" when it comes to further development.

Martin's "mum" (should be his granny to be honest) is someone who you want to fuck, as is your "little sister" who is a cute little slut, perhaps slightly ironically it's the women who you should aim to screw who are less desirable in my opinion, but they're all definitely fuckable and look sexy which is good. I really do hope that new characters get introduced that aren't already attached to men, maybe they could be attached to the village in other ways, like a war widow, a female labourer/beggar in financial difficulties, an out-of-her-depth tomboy, gang of curious girls who you take advantage of individually and/or collectively, some sort of teacher, nun, a woman who's considered to have basic medical "healing" powers. (Witch?)

Actually, when I think about it most of the positive things about this game lie in it's potential.

All-in-all this is a good initial effort worthy of a 4 star rating, will this game get any meaningful further development?...

Well this was not the best game experience I had. I feel like this is kinda your typical eye-candy game without much depth. Immediately, you start of with a cliché scene where one of the LI's flashes her private parts on accident. Not because something interesting or exciting happened, no just because she was wearing an extremely short dress (which does not make sense for the medieval period of time). Yeah... not the most original of events.

As expected after this scene, the romances are not really great. All love interests like the MC for no reason, they just do. Some even have sex with him in broad daylight while being at work the first time we get introduced to them. There are no wholesome or complex romances developing unfortunately.

Also the dialogue doesnt flow very well. The word 'Friend' is just used way too much. In some conversations it feels like the word is used in every sentence, it honestly kinda disrupts the flow of the conversation and is a bit annoying actually.

As for the overlapping story, its pretty non-existant. You spend the whole time just meeting people and f*cking/groping them straight away and then all of a sudden at the end 'You are to be king'??? There is no build up to this moment, its feels so all over the place. Like what is the background of the MC, does he have any special capabilities which makes us curious if the MC is more than a mere commonner. No.. just nothing. So you find yourself not really caring about why the MC is to be king, there is just so much information missing.

Then the visuals, sometime this could salvage the lack of depth in story and romance. But honestly in this game it doesn't really. The graphics in general are maybe even below average. One plus is that the animations are quite smooth. so I guess thats that. I doubted if I could give the game 2 stars for the animations, but I do not think that this game has enough to be more than a one star for now.

Wonderful game so far!

The story is interesting and immersive, with a perfect pace.
Fine-looking girls.
Lots of incest - mom isn't shy, and the little sister is naughty.

I recommend playing this game together with "Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Music of Landscapes and Atmospheres."

Aihvala is a game worth playing in my opinion.

Overall nice character, a lot of potential MILFS, new settings in medieval era not some modern suburb family cliche, nice prologue, can't wait for further story to unfold, I'm intrigued whether it will be revenging story or the MC will take refugee on the other town.

Great start for the game in my opinion, i liked a lot about the choice of theme and the graphics over all, very unique story-line so far, really looking forward for more of this one in the future!!!!!
