Review of [v0.3.7]

AI Revolution was a game that started off pretty plane-Jane. The character models were pretty good, but besides that nothing really stood out about the game enough for me to really recommend it over anything else on the site (although, some of the characters are pretty fun).

However, the dev(s) seems to have honed their animation skills and turned this in to a really high production game. Now this is some thing I can say you should try out, just know the animations get way better.

also nice music/sfx while playing the game. The dialogs are sometimes feeling like written from a teenager but i let it slide. Hope for more updates and more contet.

[Reviewed v0.3.7]

A well-done VN with sandbox mechanics set in a future where AI inhabits bodacious girl bodies. The narrative is unique and fun. It's a little grindy, the progression is quite linear and I didn't care about the twists and turns of every love interest, but there's lots to like here.

The Good ()

• Charming love interests (LIs) that each have different personalities and well-developed backgrounds
• Lots of story content
• Sandbox elements aren't too annoying
• Well-rendered graphics and animations
• Nice H-scenes that pay off the story beats
• Useful in-game help system

The Not-So-Good ()

• Your mileage may vary with the J-RPG / anime art style, especially with the MC, who looks like he's 12 years old and straight out of a cartoon. The art style generally works but with scenes showing the MC and a love interest, it can be a little cringe-y and break the immersion.
• The sandbox aspects can get a little grindy and repetitive
• The narrative is a little all over the place

There's a lot to like with this one despite some flaws with the MC's character design.

Just finished my playthrough of all current content - this game is great!

The story and setting are fun and interesting, it's not super serious but there's enough tension to keep you reading. The girls are all great, they're all fun to interact with and their individual events are all really good. The character models ae especially good for a Koikatsu game as well.

Now, the real plus for this game has to be its animations, they're very very well done. The newer scenes are incredible, the Effie scene and Akaime scenes are great, and even the older animations are very good.

The only downside to this game is it's obviously written by someone that's ESL - the Engrish in this game is rough sometimes, the dev really needs a proof reader to fix up the script because sometimes reading it can be frustrating. However, aside from that one downside, I don't really see any flaws in this game. The sandbox isn't obtrusive, there's no annoying grinding, it's just a really well done coherent sandbox event based game!

i'll be real about this, i dont really like the story nor the writing bcs it something i already saw in other games, but the character design and animations are really good and its improving between versions so really recommended

The first night I played this, I was initially turned off by Akaime's brash attitude and deleted the game. I've decided to give AIRevolution another go after reminding myself of forgiveness. It's so much better than I imagined.

PROS: The co-existence of androids and humans is not something I haven't seen before, but the way it's shown here is rather unique, in my opinion. It's like an anime reimagining of Detroit Become Human, except the androids already have free will. For the 1.5 years that it's been in development, several of the characters have well-fleshed out backstories, like Rizzette and Aomi being Combat AIs, Katsue and that dark elf (forgot her name) being Premium AIs and Eva being Viper's first project. However, we still have a lot to learn about Yuriko. We only know that she's an alt-girl/guitarist/prankster who appears to live alone. I wonder what her origin story is. The MC, Tyler, is your typical horny toad, but he's not the rapey and douchy type. For instance, in the sex scenes for the love interests, he doesn't force them into anything. Instead, he takes initiative after they tease him for long enough. Not exactly a realistic approach to intercourse, but thankfully he doesn't harm anyone. The voice actress, VixxenVA, brings so much energy and diversity to the love interests, with Yuriko being extroverted and Naoko being gentle for example. Despite minor errors, the animations are insanely well-done and full of expression. They feel less monotonous and more like full movies. Even the heart pupils common in hentai were recreated beautifully with a glowing effect, which was a nice touch.

CONS: There are numerous typos that become more frequent as the game progresses. Sometimes, the jiggle physics look more like a character's breasts are floating rather than being affected by gravity (e.g. Katsue's sex scene). There are also countless clipping issues. Tyler thrusts so hard that his penis clips through a character's abdomen (e.g. Katsue's sex scene again); a background character's feet phases through the floor in the opening scene for the Christmas event; Katsue's tail clips through the floor when she performs squats; Tyler's arm glitches out shortly before he cums inside Effie in the shower. The sandbox aspect is pointless, with the main storyline progressing well without it. It would work if Tyler had a part-time job or something, but the sandbox is just "go to one place at a specific time and the plot continues from there." Back to the sex scenes, they are not interactive and lack choices. Additionally, Tyler has never done foreplay, as it is always performed on him by his love interests.

Overall, AIRevolution still has a long road ahead of it, and it's a bit rough around the edges, but what exists so far is nothing short of excellent. There is not a single character I find unlikeable, not even the MC or Akaime. AVN protagonists are often predatory, sociopathic and manipulative, but Tyler is surprisingly a decent person who just happens to have a strong libido. The VAI conflict surrounding Khoren's plans for domination is something that I can't wait to see unfold.

If you are looking for a game with big titty dragon and sexy AIRobot this is One of a game, good story, lewd, good model, monster girl with massive tits.
What else do we need ? Music and atmosphere are also really good.

The game has a nice flow story wise, it kept me going and actually made me read all the lines instead of just skipping towards the NSFW-parts. Animations are smooth and got sound from the beginning towards the end, which is awesome.

The nice visuals is the first and last positive this "game" has.
A completely generic harem, where every creature with a vagina can't stop drooling about the MC despite him being a supposed outcast and lame person.
The story is outlandishly stupid, contrived and illogical, every event will require you to spread your suspension of disbelief so thin you could see through it, choices that don't matter and mountains of bad english. The characters are barely one dimensional, with no real appeal or charm.
The "gameplay" is a linear sandbox, events can only happen in one order only, completely removing any point of the system. It's like the dev just saw that many other devs have one so he needs to put it too, without actually putting any thought into it.
Whatever small amount of sex that is there just happens suddenly, with the most minimal amount of buildup of tension and relation.
Maybe if the dev spent less time on the window dressing and trashy seasonal events, he could have had more time to spend on making something worth going through.

The models are nice enough and the animations are ok if rare. The writing though, this is the kind of bad that transcends language and culture barriers.
The story of this one is like pure distilled isekai, so distilled it's almost solid.

I want to say, the dev should focus on the visuals and at least hire an editor to help get this story in check.

Solid. Although I am usually against the sandbox type of novels, this one at least does it nicely, without a stupidly unnecessary movement mechanic. Still, I would rather prefer it to be straightforward.
Otherwise, the game is pretty cool, character designs are unique, and they are memorable, which is the most important thing IMHO.

This game certainly has some good parts. Art wise the game is great the Models look good the sex animations can be excellent. The characters themselves personality-wise are quite good they have variance in character and they generally interesting.

But the rest of the game is pretty damn rough. Any writing that is meant to be plot based feels so obscenely contrived and stupid, I'm playing monster girl hentai I'm not expecting realism here but my suspension of disbelief was constantly shattered. The character interactions are mostly the same, zero attempt to make believable relationship building just yahoo every character instantly loves you, the characters are cute I want them to actually have storylines and build up but there's just nothing there.
I can understand a game having non serious writing and just being meant to be fun but this really feels completely like somebody just making a story up as they go and not caring if things are contradictory, illogical or pointless.
It's not really trying to be comedic either.



This kind of game where the models are good sex is good writing is bad/stupid and characters just want to fuck you immediately can be good there is nothing wrong with a game focusing completely on sex scenes.
But this game isn't doing that it has like 9 sex scenes half of them pretty short and a whole lot of badly written (both ways) dialogue.

There's far more time spent dealing with sandbox garbage or watching bad character development scenes that don't develop the character or relationship building scenes that don't change the relationships, than there is time spent playing through erotic scenes which is the much better part of the game.


I don't really understand why this is even a game just watching the scenes without context would be a better experience.

I'm going to be really odd and give this a 5 star review even though i'm worried about the future of this game. That sounds negative but know that times from a desire to see this game truly become one of the best koikatsu games there are.

The positives?

Animation: I think everyone can agree that these are just perfect. Ofcourse improvement is possible but like, it'd be like going from 95/100 to 96/100. I was recommended this game while I was searching for high-qualtity animation and this delivered.

Characters: They work. They're all unique, especially the ones that have gotten attention.It's a bit too early to say that one "cares" about them but the foundations are there.

Story: People are allowed to say the story is mediocre or even cliche. However I personally raise two points: It's a bit too soon for me to judge the story. This isn't to throw a stone or something but that's how it is. Due to that, I am treating the story as a vessel for interaction with these characters and not vice versa. Usually that's bad with how the characters are written but it just worksworks.

Writing isn't perfect but it also isn't bad. Some proofreaders would help the quality up. But I didn't feel like the writing was hampering my enjoyment.

I honestly feel like that your opinion on this game is dependent on how much quality you expect outside the animations. If you want a "all in one" package with general high quality, then AIrevolution isn't there YET. It has solid foundations to rise to the top but it needs to finds it's footing.

However I do have some worries about that future.
1)LI/scope creep: the Undoing of many devs, you can have a lot of LI's but you either have to pace the game in such a way that the player doesn't get burndened by it. Scope creep is almost the same. You may, in the future, have to kill your darlings and that's ok. We all have to do that when we're being creative.
2) Sandbox/VN. As of now, I prefer sandbox but I feel like AI revolutions is balancing the two. Keeping that balance is tough but possible although it may be easier to lean into one more than the other, just food for thought.
3) Tone: Be consistent. As of now i've gotten the impression we're going to get a light tone and not a serious one but don't try to 180 on it without really good build up. Whiplash effect is a strong one and this game, has for me atleast, set it self as a light-toned adventure, not a serious msystery game. If that isn't desired effect, my apologies.

Honestly, I wish the dev the best of luck cause what you have right here is a diamond in the rough that in the future may shine brightly.

What was the point of making a sandbox if all you have to do is skip time and click to go to the right location and see a ton of text? Make it a regular visual novel then, these useless clicks are annoying.
Little NSFW content, literally two or three scenes and that's it.

So I don't understand so many positive reviews about this game. Maybe later everything will change but now the game has almost no NSFW content so I don't see the point in wasting time on it

best nsfw game I've ever played, amazing characters, plot, easy to navigate, has a guide if you get stuck, sex scenes are very well animated. can't wait for the future updates. Never encountered any bugs also, althought there were black screens who took a lot of time to get through, i dont know if that was intentional or a bug/glitch.

I don't need to write a 50 paragraph essay for you to play this game because the game does a good job attracting you with beautiful girls, with a lot of different personalities, good models and animations that go a lot longer than the typical 3 second loop that you seem to encounter in every single game of this genre

Developper put some work in it, and it shows.
While it is not the best game out here it is a solid four stars.
The game got custom animation, good models, and a big cast of interesting characters. Some of them are really lovable.
It's main problem is the lack of plausability when it comes to horny things, for example :
- every character that goes on the beach has an ultra sexy/revealing bikini, even the shy ones.
- everybody gets horny way to fast sometimes
- the LI are too quickly interested in the MC
- they sometimes go for something naughty even when it's out of character
I hope the dev will improve on theses points !

Despite the rather heavy sci-fi summary on the game page, AIRevolultion is an overall light-hearted and comedic slice of life game loaded with plenty of animations and humorous dialogue. Just don't go in expecting a serious and logically sound sci-fi adventure and one should be alright.

Story
In the future AI androids enjoy the same rights as humans and are more or less indistinguishable from ordinary humans in daily living. MC's parents got him an AIGirl as well and most of the story will revolve around his interactions with normal and AIGirls in school as well as his new roomate, Akaime, bought by his parents.

Amid the hustle and bustle of school life, a group of AIGirls who want to start a revolution to overthrow the current order and establish an AI superior one also enrols into MC's school. It's best to see this more as a funny premise for MC to build his harem rather than a real mystery or war adventure as there is very little logic to it.

Game Mechanic
It's a tightly controlled sandbox with an easy quest guide to move around and trigger events. Choices are mostly inconsequential other than the one where you choose whether you want AIGirls to be equal or subservient to humans.

Even then from what I observe so far, this only results in slight variation to the dialogue. Hopefully the story will branch out further differently depending on your choice.

Background / Character Renders
Background and characters are typical to that made with Koikatsu with ordinary images revolving around the town.

There are plenty of LIs, eight so far, with more planned to be unveiled in the future based on the blanked-out character profiles to date. Each of the LIs are uniquely designed to appeal to different players with traits such as catgirl, android, demon, ninja, elf, vampire etc. There's something for everyone.

Character Development
As a slice of life humor game, character development is not the main focus though. MC is somewhat colourless save for the usual hentai perversity whereas the LIs take up the usual tropey traits in anime.

However, credit must be given that the developer does it from an angle of fun, so none of them are annoying. You kind of just laugh along with their silliness.

Sex Scenes
Animated sex scenes are the selling point of AIRevolution - many of them feature multiple unique animations that go beyond the standard 2-3 second loop and there's even a separate cum shot animation.

Not only are the animations beautiful, the dialogue, sound effects and music all add to the mood and offer a great experience.

BGM and Sound Effects
The BGMs are mostly pleasant complimentary tunes that blend well and sound effects are minimal.

Conclusion
AIRevolution is a good light hearted visual novel with gorgeous animations that doesn't take itself too seriously; just don't expect too much from the "AI Revolution" story line which is more complimentary to build up the "silliness" premise.

Suggestion: Katsue's hair keeps changing, i find it wierd. As other said, the pace goes form 0 to 100 pretty fast. The sandbox doesn't add much, and the choices do not matter as well.

Thoughts: I like the hud. I like that you don't need to sleep to pass the day. The models are f great, Akaime is the best so far. The story is cool enough, though simple it is above average in execution. The animations are great, ariesana's scene *chef's kiss*

Overall F95: 5/5

Just based on the graphics and scenes I can't give this game any less than a 5 star rating. The story is interesting, although the pacing gets weird as hell. Same thing goes for the way the game handles relationships between characters and the MC's development, but the hotness of every single damn character just carries this game to a point I can't even find words to properly explain. 25/10
