The latest game by Mijiishi is a bit strange. On one hand, the protagonist very easily allows his girlfriend to NTR him, which is odd because, in the developer's previous games, the morality of this was heavily debated. It seems this time the developer went for a more vanilla approach, as the impact isn’t as strong and can even become boring.
The monster mechanics aren’t bad, but they’re not that fun either. You just need to know that if the human plants the seed at the end, a humanoid monster, like a warrior or mage, will appear. Another highlight is that the art has improved significantly compared to previous entries, although it can get a bit repetitive. I don’t see that as a negative as long as the situation that triggers it is different. There are two types of art: generic but good quality, and story-specific with excellent quality.
Compared to previous games, the dungeons are somewhat boring, as are the cities and other locations. The map is very simple and doesn’t add much to the experience.
In conclusion, a vanilla Mijiishi game that can get a bit dull, with a somewhat confusing story but interesting mechanics and high-quality art that can reach excellent levels.
