The title says it. This is my first proper post, so I'd like to apologise for breaking any potential rules, as I was too blind to find any.
On to the problem at hand. Any RPGM game that is based on VX Ace doesn't work. I am on windows 10, and have tried to change the system locale, to no avail. When I attempt to start the game a black window pops up, labeled "Game". This minimized window crashes within 5 seconds upon starting. I tried downloading an RTP, which changed nothing. Not much of a surprise as the games I used came with all the assets. I tried tinkering with my firewall, which did not help. Though I have yet to mess with my windows defender.
I am a bit annoyed since not a single soul online seems to have the same problem as I. Missing out on quality content is less than optimal for me. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
