VN - Ren'Py - Altered [v0.6] [Mr.J]

+ The story is a bit different from many others, and the dev has a concept to show a developing string with presence and flashbacks.
+/- the renders and lewd scenes with a passion for anal (avoidable).
I changed the relationship from "uncensored" to "family". But my decisions have mixed up the genders, for example the twins were born as brothers instead of sisters. Because, it is not always mixed; I think it is not a mistake of my settings. The writing itself with the errors makes it difficult sometimes to follow the story.
- must be a very good skin cream, that mother and aunts are looking younger than the MC. Sorry, but this is ridiculous. Some scenes are a little bit too violent for no reason (Saeko in schools, MC in the shop).

So far as of v0.6 I'm enjoying this game. Personally I feel like there are a few too many LI's though, ~12 is a bit much. Though my personal favorite so far is Haley, I've always been a sucker for the childhood friend trope and her adult model is absolutely beautiful, plus her personality is really cute imo. I'm hoping to see more content with her going forward, makes sense there's not a lot with her yet since she was the last LI to be introduced.

The sex scenes are not amazing, but interestingly there's a ton of sleep groping which is not something I see in a lot of these games so that's an interesting dynamic. Also a lot of Anal if you're into that sort of thing.

The music mixing could use a bit of work, it takes you out of the moment when there's a bunch of thugs trying to kill you and there's just this upbeat song playing.

All in all it's not perfect but it's pretty good. Looking forward to future updates.

Tried to give this a fair shake, this seems to be a first time dev, so I am sure over time he will get better, but in the end, as it is now, a 3-star rating is me being generous.
Here's why:
1. Unoriginal plot
2. Mediocre renders
3. Wooden writing
4. Wooden posing
5. Lots of spelling errors.
6. Even with a relationship setting option, it's still pretty badly implemented.

This is another one of those cases where I have to say, if I had stumbled upon this game, when the forums were new, I would have probably loved this, now it's just the same old same old and without anything lifting it over the mass of dozens of games with similar plots and mechanics.

- Renders aren't top of the line, but, they are clear and decent quality.
- Posing is still quite wooden, but an improvement is quite obvious.
- Some characters skin color is rather strange, completely unnatural under some lights.
- The story has some interest. Sometimes it's a bit abrupt, but, most of the time is quite pleasant.
- The writing is decent. A bit too fast the progression, but, the "pheromones" plot armor "explains" it.
- I enjoyed the relationships with the "family".
- I also enjoyed Saeko advances over Laura.
- Expecting good things from Tanya.

PROS:

1. Models generally are nice looking, particularly the LIs, the MC not so much, see CONS
2. The overall story is interesting, even if its kind of far fetched.
3. Pacing is actually not bad and sexual interactions start at a reasonable time in the story, however, relations with "family" is a bit too sudden IMO.
4. Sounds are not bad, music and interactive sounds are decent, but...

CONS: - See my opinions section for details.

1. Renders and general visuals are bit washed out for me and grainy which makes this AVN feel "cheap".
2. MC has times he looks fine, other times he doesn't, there seems to be a bit of consistency issue here.
3. "Family" characters look great, but also look different, the mother and aunts are fine, but the one small sister looks odd and doesn't fit in at all, like she had a different father.
4. Mother and aunts look like they haven't aged a day, sorry but this breaks immersion.
5. The MCs best friend is supposedly of oriental decent? Chinese or Japanese? Yet her eyes lean a bit strongly to more western look (small nitpick, but...)
6. The story is mostly fine and even good because of the intriguing nature of the MCs background. The negative is the conditions that lead to the MC being abducted.
7. On the User Experience front of things, I feel the dialogue font could do with an outline option, so outline white or black then thickness, this makes setting the opacity to clear easier to read.
8. MC gets it on with his "family" to easily, meaning sexual barriers are broken very easily.
9. Music can be more varied for the scenes, more interactive sounds would be nice. Think I heard a bit of lewd sound once, but was too subtle to even really notice. This needs more work, sounds especially lewd scenes make for great immersion if done properly.

FINAL REMARKS, OPINIONS & SUGGESTIONS:

NOTE: The following remarks are my personal opinions and thoughts, which may provide more context and could be useful to the developer.

• Despite the dev stating his grammar and English not being great, I find this reads fairly well, but can do with some revision, it is at least clear enough and understandable.
• The MC being just abducted at 10yo is to me flimsy and requires more depth and planning to sell me on why, why him particularly when his family was simply average and had no ties to anyone in power.
• The mother and aunts haven't aged at all since MC was lost nearly 2 decades before, sorry but this is bullshit, I know for sake of making the twins work as 18 in the now, the MC had to be gone that long, but make the MC 5 years old when abducted and add a bit more wear to the mother and aunts, that would hit a sweet spot.
• While I understand the MC is "altered" he produces pheromones that get all the woman wild and wet, its seems not "strong" but there, still the "family" break boundaries and loose inhibitions a bit too quickly for me to be realist. I would have started with unrelated characters first then only moved onto "family" the one sister who was abducted being the exception, but even here allude to having sexual connection and wear her down maybe first in the family, between her and the one aunt, then pursue rest.
• This AVN has some potential and does most of it well enough to be considered solid/fine, but its just not what I would consider really "good". While this statement as with any review is subjective, I believe the game lacks that polish, quality and detail to its scenes that will give it the push to 4 or more stars.

TLDR:

This AVN falls squarely for me in the average category, its not bad but its not good. I like the story of it enough because it has some interesting concepts and there is intrigue. I like the premise and direction its going. Sadly the quality of renders are generally mediocre, including the animations. Rest is fine enough.

I enjoyed the story so far and am interested in seeing what happens next and where the story goes. I like the character designs, and I think they all seem pretty interesting so far. The story is ongoing, so I am interested in seeing how the characters evolve and are fleshed out.

-The story is ok, a bit weird here and there.
-The writing could be better. It's difficould to read sometimes, because of the bad grammar. Gets better during the game.
-The protagonists look nice but totally out of age. The detective looks like 16-20, even if she should be around 50. Same with the mother, neighbor and aunts, the look like 20-25, not like 50.
-Why do nearly all girls and women have cup sizes from DD to G+ and way to big asses like Kim Kardashian? (But thats a point i can ignore to some extend, it's just the style today.)

Without the age problem, i would have given 4 stars.

Very good VN,
I liked the story (i like the mystery and the underworld/secret services ellements) and visuals are also very good too.
MC is quite good and capable, (though sometimes he looks very skinny and some other times buff) and furthermore all the Lis are beautiful ,interesting and with their own unique personalities
Though my favorite LI by far is Saeko and she is gonna by my main LI for sure (if there is option for solo ending it will be with her)
Albeit i certainly gonna also play a harem
Furthermore I will also want to thank dev for giving us the choice to choose on the Lesbian content and the clarification that if we don't choose lesbian choice then it doesn't happen, for me at least the fact that the lesbian content is optional is important.
Finally i want to say that especially for First VN its a great job and i really enjoyed it.. i started playing early in the night... and i couldn't stop playing.
I highly recommend it.

Hiya just finished what you have completed and wanted to provide some feedback.

Pros:
-Story is good and I like where it is headed
-Some of the LIs are nice to look at and done nicely
-There was not a ton of typos or incorrect wording. Always a plus.

Cons:
-Some of the people do not look there age. Like the daughter looks way older than mother. Why white hair?? Breasts look way to saggy and old to be 18. Mother has a nicer look and body.
-Most of the LIs have huge milk jugs and there is little diversity with breast sizes.
-Some of the LIs are very unattractive to me.

i think average seems an apt rating

the art is okay but pretty much on par for this site. the sex scenes are a little involved so better than some i have seen for angle but not much here yet.
characters design is good enough although personally i would have chosen twins to look more alike. not spot-the-difference alike but less danny/arnold.

the writing is, well, it is overall pretty average too. there is a premise here that some may find intriguing but the writer lacks the skill to deliver it.
the whole exchange at the hospital was pretty crap and comes across as a step up from a bad porn movie script to me. there are occasional glimmers this could improve with time and development though. fingers crossed
right now it is a slideshow with a predictable script most could write in their own heads. not to mention at one point i was called 'Jay' yet named MC differently.
it also needs a rework as spelling errors and missing words abound.

it is not point and click and not sandbox so i like the design but without a better script (certainly one you can read without spotting errors on the regular) with a bit more maturity, this one may fall into the spank bank category, which for a VN is not a plus.

I like the Story for this VN, It's a unique story , Renders is pretty good, You can improve the sound right now it's good, The performance of the VN is good and in this version dont have any problem with performance and dont find any bugs, like the animations, Renders quality is good, Amount of content in this VN is pretty good considering the initial relese.overall good VN.
