VN - Ren'Py - Alternate Worlds [v0.0320] [Motkeyz Games]

I'm not sure if the developer has any talent for making a real harem game, but they’re absolutely a master at creating NTR atmosphere and tension. It leaves a strong impression, yet feels deeply uncomfortable. Players end up way more worried about whether the protagonist is going to get cuckolded next than actually enjoying the sex scenes.
This game has no chance of becoming a harem masterpiece, but it has every chance of becoming an NTR masterpiece.
Tons of male side characters, a physically strong but financially useless idiot protagonist with a beautiful wife, a mother who dotes excessively on her son, a grandfather who lusts after the protagonist’s wife, a son with no girlfriend who’s obsessed with his own mother and jerks off to her personal belongings, the wife secretly watching her son masturbate, the wife hiding everything from her idiot husband, the son watching his parents have sex the entire time, the wife actually getting aroused when she realizes her son is watching her fuck her husband (of course the protagonist, like the idiot he is, has no clue about any of it), the son peeping on his grandmother bathing, endless veiled (and not-so-veiled) NTR hints everywhere… Why isn’t the son the protagonist? Yet the game uses a god-like omniscient perspective to show you all of this while the actual protagonist can’t do a damn thing about any of it—what’s the point?
The scenes and thoughts shown from the heroine’s perspective also completely killed any attraction to her; I have zero desire left to interact with her.
Plus the AI animations are awful.
Of course, this isn’t an NTR game; there won’t be any real NTR content. The player just gets to play a strong but clueless husband from an omniscient viewpoint.
Alternate Worlds [v0.0320]

Look, I was on board with Timestamps from the beginning, and it was an amazing ride, but alternate worlds has almost no appeal.

The story has not tension. The MC is caught between two satisfying lives where he essentially gets the best of both worlds. There's almost no teasing and build-up, just immediate gratification from people that all seem keen to give him whatever he wants. That's just dull. There's no pursuit. And the MC is also dull. Just a whiny wash-up who is still fondly remembered, so why doe he feel any desire for another life other than different sex partners? All of the characters are incredibly one-dimensional.

And the other big issue: AI animations.

They look like crap. Uncanny valley nightmares that probably save production time but really lack detail, uniqueness and heart on top of weird extra gap teeth and such. I'd rather a game with great still renders over the lazy AI.

1. Models and LIs are really good looking overall.
2. Animations are impressively done (not all, see cons)
3. Story is not bad, not new, particularly for this developer but not bad.
4. Characters are interesting enough and have reasonably fleshed out personas.
5. Writing is overall not bad, structured and reads well, but there are some issues.

CONS: - See my opinions section for details.

1. Premise is a bit flimsy, the MC is immediately painted as the one all the woman in the family and friends fawn over, yet he has no clue and the player just sits and watches it play out.
2. To tie into the above, this AVN feels more kinetic, the player/MC has little agency and it only seems that you can block yourself out of content or not...
3. Per above, there is a distinct NTR vibe coming in with the son and mother even the son and the grandmother, which is not explicitly mentioned to the player in the game description, nor is it possible to toggle NTR or related kinks/features on or off.
4. Writing has some grammatical issues here and there, but little, the main concern is that there is a character mismatch bug with some dialogue where the MC is speaking but clearly the text belongs to the other party.
5. AI generated faces talking is not really very good, it loops too quickly and the animation feels off. Annabelle in her chair loops like she is boning herself on a dildo and Mei just opens and closes her mouth...
6. Per above about animations, many times the characters from the animations do not look like the character from the still render and "basic" animations. See comments
7. Age of characters like the mother-in-law is way too young, the MC looks older than her and her daughter Perl looks like her sister not daughter and Annabelle looks like the daughter not the sister...
8. Its disappointing that sounds are missing from general world, interactions and particularly for lewd scene, as it adds a lot to immersion and quality.

OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS & FINAL REMARKS:

NOTE: The following remarks are my personal opinions and thoughts, which may provide more context and could be useful to the developer. (Read them or don't)

• The "agenda" is plain as day, apart from the story having multiple or at least 2 primary points of view, that being the MCs currently life vs what his life could have been like (the alternate) The MC simple being this God to all woman is a bit much for me, especially when its so plain as day, yet the MC moves too slow to actually capitalize on it. This is a bit of a jarring/whiplash kind of setup I don't like. Let me explain, if you not going to have the MC be this God for woman from the game, why bother with making the MC seem like an idiot who A, doesnt seem to know this (bullshit) or B the MC hasnt acted on it? (bullshit). Its like they all woke up and realised they want the MC to bone them and he still hasn't even considered it...right...flimsy setup there IMO.
• Per animations point, clearly the AI CGI is not done correctly because the characters do not look the same at all.
• The player has too little agency and choice, the game plays more like a kinetic novel and that should be clearly stated in the description along with NTR/Sharing options where the MC could end up being cucked or sharing his LIs with others like the son. Either spell this out clearly to the player or enable the option to disable/enable it.
• Its hard to nail down with 100% clarity what this game doesn't do right (apart from what I mentioned above), but there is a feeling that I don't like. I believe its tidy into the kinetic type vibe I have of the game, where the player has too little agency and choice simply follows the developers plot...
• Kinks are not yet really defined, this would be nice to know when getting into the game, what the player can expect or even request like urination, pregnancy which are both kinda alluded to. It also does however tie into how much the developer will allow the player to pick their flavour of kink...right now its just the developers route...

TLDR:

I would say this is a fair to good AVN, but there are some critical concerns for me that need to be addressed. The game also feels less polished than I would like if I am very honest. I also feel too much similarity between this and the dev previous titles and not in a good way, particularly due to the very spesific direction the developer takes the story and how the player has little choice in any of it. You either like it or hate it.

I liked this AVN it wasn't very high up on my list until the last chapter. Adding your son perving on your mother in law was not a great choice

Dev also seems to not want to do much branching, might as well have just made this kinetic then if you want an exact story that fits your ideas

my two cents is this AVN is playable but its moving in the wrong direction and might become unplayable depending on the dev's choices

You might be into this but I see no incest tag so why is this even a scene?

From what was a good VN creator, this is cheap and lazy.
Hopefully will go back to finish the previous game than wasting time on this.

Just to be clear I played all Motkeyz games and I love them!

I am giving 5 stars for the Alternate Worlds 0.0320v.
Why? because we finally have not just amazing MILFS and cuties but also MC is a grown up 40 years old dude =D
and MILF is hot as a Oreo cookie and attracted by the view of her son watching them having sex. what can make fantasies even more hot?

Good start to the story,liked the settings for two alternate worlds ,ntr angle also good(mother son), hoping for more update in main reality story.but sex scenes should be based on choices it little bit forced.

This is not a choice-based game. Multiple forced sex scenes without any reason, just because.

Some women look great. I stayed because of his beautiful wife and sister-in-law. With her, you can decide to avoid any sex, which I didn't.
A lot of the other characters in this world are also quite nice. NTR/Netori is on the horizon, 2 LIs are with disgusting partners.

Then you're thrown into the parallel world, and your choices stay in the old one. The memory of the past night is forgivable, it shows the point where we start the story of the second character. Then the MC is forced into a threesome with the most hideous characters in the game. No choices, just where and when you cum. Unnecessary and deal-breaking.

Stopped there. Should the dev decide to make an actual game with actual player agency, this would be something I really enjoy. The MC looks good, acts like a human being, and is overall likeable. The story could get interesting. All that is wasted behind a dev that can't be bothered to let the player decide. A pitty.

Based on the previous 2 games, I expected this one to be another 5 star game, but sadly that's not the case.

The dev focused so much on story and dialogue that I completely lost interest after 40 minutes of gameplay (where I even started to skip through the dialogue to actually get to a hot scene). I don't know if later on the game has awesome hot scenes with the girls (which look awesome as the ones in the previous 2 games), but I lost my patience.

If you're looking to spank the monkey, this is not the game for you, it is a slow burner and you'll lose your boner after half an hour of dialogue. Maybe I'll return to the game later and get some saves files from where the action really starts.

At the moment, I'll give it only 3 stars because the game still has potential of 5, but not with this long ass introduction.

The game features beautiful models with stunning visuals. It has a well-developed character development logic and a beautiful seduction game. The development of the main characters' personalities makes the game fluid and fun.

It started off so promising, the premise was so corny but it isn't really important to me. The updates are taking longer and longer, and with the latest version (0.03 as of this review) AI has been implemented...and not for the better. It looks like some will smith eating spaghetti level stuff.

I really hope this one turns around, but timestamps getting abandoned for this, well it really adds salt to the wound.

I feel bad leaving this 2*, but the writing is too much to overcome. The developer is clearly putting a lot of effort into it, the graphics are good, and they are trying to create a story.

But the writing! No one talks like that in real life. Im not sure if its a translation issue (it doesnt seem like the developer is a native english speaker based on word choice), but it prevents from getting engaged in the game

This is off to a terrible start, I honestly don't know how it can be redeemed.
The renders are excellent and a step up from the dev's last game. The story is easily the worst I have seen for such good graphics.
Not content with a max tier Gary Stu in family life, he also is one in another dimension. I have no idea how this is supposed to entertaining.

Maybe I will change the score at a later date but the dev needs to do better coming up with an interesting concept and story. The top tier visuals are being wasted here and we are better of just watching porn if the other elements are this poor.

There it is. One of the best adult games creator. One is sure, quality animations, graphics are above amazing. Story like always unique and excellent. Why for stars? Why not five? Well, because my opinion is that second story was not necessary for me. First one, i call it normal. Is ideal. Second one, more explicit...well, nah... Not tickling enough.

Amazing renders, beautiful women and good animations but most of the time the dialogue is almost painful to read. At the barbecue and introduction to the characters the comic relief friend quickly becomes annoying with his poor attempts of humor and blabbering about how badass the mc was back in his prime while everyone comments on how much of a clown he is. And this already sets the pace for the rest of the game. Every conversation feels dragged with the characters yapping without saying much.

There's a lot of potential in this one.

The story does feel natural, not the usual jump from one main scene to another, plus it takes its time to show and develop characters, LIs, friends, family, etc, definetly some great vibes.

But, IMHO, I feel things could be better delivered, such as the pace. We are presented to an entire cast right out of the gate during the barbecue,; in the same night, your wife (which you barely spend time so far) is already making plans to share her husband... not to mention what happens at "night". So it really felt rushed.

Renders are top notch, and at this point, I just wish animations in general had a little more impact, best of luck.

This game at this point is somehow describes as "a middle aged man, ex fighter with a big belly that aged badly and is kind of ugly and not exactly smart, having sex with his wife in day 1 and somehow (time) travels, in day 2, to an alternate reality to have sex with his ex-wife, who looks 15-25 years older than the ugly middle aged MC, and a blond bimbo who he used to date in college (who by the way looks awesome)"

In more details,

Cg's similar to timestamps which is good, an MC's close to a middle age man that was someone in the past and now is not him, middle age crisis etc . The animations have the same issues with timestamps, somehow limited but the main issue is the story. A dialogue with the mother in law that was somehow interesting but from there nothing. Alternate realities, different Li's with a back story somehow weak .. anyway

I think the story is so weak that it's difficult to play, at least up to now. This one probably needs 5-6 more versions to see if the story gets better , somehow connects to something, because at this point it is difficult to understand how it will improve in a version or two.
