Not sure how to rate a game like this. The adult content is good enough and plentiful enough to *cough* get the job done as it were, but the story is preposterous and the dialogue is poorly written, where the author clearly takes the position of, “If it can be conveyed with one word, why not use a thousand?”, filling the game with endless and oft-repeated exposition.
First off, this is a Honey Select game through and through, and a default one at that. You won’t find any unique animations or camera angles here. The lack of variety, and the fact that I’ve seen all of these animations before, takes away from the enjoyment, but this is made up for in sheer quantity. Despite fast forwarding through the entire story (which is terrible) I’m still not finished with my first “Love” run after several hours. This is a LONG game, with a new sex scene every 5 to 10 minutes of reading if not less. Apart from my other gripes, my main frustration is the group scenes where the girls rarely interact with each other, only with the MC. Again, this is likely due to the absence of unique staged scenes with all of them being stock Honey Select ones.
It's also clear that the author was trying new things throughout, as the pace is occasionally brought to a halt for some seemingly random mini-game, like a block/parry/attack fight scene, or a thoroughly frustrating bit where you’re literally writing in terms to try to find evidence against the Big Bad.
Finally there’s the writing. In a word, it’s bad. Tons and tons and tons of exposition. Paragraph after paragraph of characters explaining everything about themselves. Huge volume dumps of backstory all at once. It’s annoying the first time it happens as well as the 20th.
Despite all my complaining, it wasn’t an unpleasant experience. The adult content worked well enough in quantity if not quality, and that is what we’re primarily here for, right? There’s also a great deal of sharing content if you decide to follow that path, and there aren’t a lot of games with this level of quantity of that kind of content. Just don’t expect to be adding this game to your top 20. Just something to wile away the time until one of your favorites gets an update!
Edit: Perhaps I was too harsh at 3 stars. Took a look at the sharing path, and it's superior to the "loving" and "submission" paths by a longshot. Lots of elaborate group content. Well worth the price of admission.
