The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.1...
I've seen way better games that make use of Honey Select models...
The visuals of the characters are done in Honey Select, but in the case of this game they look a bit lower in resolution with some of the characters I've seen in other games using Honey Select... Plus one woman has orange skin, which must be a failed attempt at a tan look... The backdrops are so-so in quality... The protagonist looks like either He-man, Thundar the Barbarian, or one of dozens of cheap 70's animated barbarians...
The script, when English is selected, has a mix of broken English here and there, as well as the occasional spelling/grammar error... When selecting the protagonists name, the text asking for the name is in Italian, even when English is selected in preferences... The plot revolves around a male protagonist who is stranded on an island of women, along with his mother, who claim they are Amazons... I say claim, because it feels more like they are mostly a mix of various stranded women from different cultures, then one race of women that have been around for a very long time... And since they kill all the men by law, no exceptions, till now, how do they still exist?
Anyway, the introduction leading up to the grind game feels a bit rushed and way too convenient... I mean, here we have a mother who is the reigning world champion in archery, who just so happens to get stranded with her son on an island of only women, and the queen is selected purely off of an archery contest? And the queen can override the law if she so desires, hence her son isn't killed right off the bat... Feels more like a copout then a well thought out and meaningful introduction...
Then we get into the meat of the game, the grind... And I do mean, flat out annoying and tedious grind... Even though you are presented with many different options to fulfill the day, the only three activities that seem to be allowed are mining, collecting wood, and sleeping... The mining and wood collection tasks play out as simple mini-games... And here is where I had to laugh... The mini game is a set of 5 pips surrounding one of the islands characters, random each time, who starts off usually clothed... You then have so much time to click the yellow pip, continue, click the next pip, and so on up to 5 times per task... As you successfully click each pip in time, the picture of the character changes to various positions usually involving her masturbating and eventually having a squirting orgasm in the end, if you successfully clicked all 5 in time... This repeats every time you select to do mining and/or wood collection... And that is all there is to do for the moment...
Now the developer claims in the description that this goes on for a month... Yes you read that right, 30 game days of 3 repeating mini-games per day, so that is literally 100's of clicks to get to different content... Which I was not about to do... No way... Now this is a very early in development game, so of course the content is very limited... But I also feel the interface and game-play feels very archaic and not well thought out... Just look at how you select tasks, only the golden ring itself is clickable, as hovering over the portrait and clicking doesn't work, only the ring... And no matter what time of the day, none of the other tasks seem to actually do anything yet...
Overall, I don't feel the introduction was put together very well, as it's story feels rushed and more like a convenient copout to explain away the games premise, more so then what should have been a well put together story, which leads into a HIGHLY repetitive and grindy game... I suspect from what I've seen so far, this game will most likely just be a porn fest grind... And I suspect the women visuals during the mini-game were meant as distractions for the repeating and tedious nature of the mini-game itself... Perhaps as this game develops it might improve... But it has a lot of work ahead, if it want's to excel and be better then it is, or currently shows... Will I revisit it? I don't know, have to wait and see... For now I'm not impressed...
