Ren'Py - Amnesia [v0.103 Patreon] [Super Alex]

If you like aesthetically trashy but otherwise hot women (with gray contacts, gray dip-dyed hair, fake fingernails, heavy makeup, high heels, etc.) who treat you like shit, this game is very much for you. If not, really the only reason to consider playing is the high quality renders and animations.

Amusingly, there are two paths: "Dominant" or "Loving." If you choose "Loving," MC's an ultra-pathetic simp. If you choose "Dominant," MC will still be an ultra-submissive little bitch-boy.

Main love interests:

Step-mom (landlady): Treats MC like a three-year-old. Bosses him around and won't let him make a decision for himself. Right in front of MC, without consulting him, she even tells the stylist how to cut his hair. Spineless MC totally allows this, even on the "Dominant" path.

Brunette step-sister (who lives at home but looks 45): Pathetic and manipulative via self-absorbed emotionality. The only remotely fuckable family member, personality-wise.

Blonde step-sister: Over-the-top, legendary thundercunt. The only reasonable option would be to murder her in cold blood, but you're not given that choice.

Writing is often bad-to-nonsensical, like when MC asks a nurse a *question* and she responds, "How can you be so sure?" When MC leaves the hospital, he's in fine condition aside from his amnesia. When he returns for a check-up, without running any tests, the doctor immediately tells him his health is improving significantly except for the amnesia.

This game comes with one of those complex renaming schemes, where you give everybody a new relationship, nickname, etc. It's very confusing and poorly employed, so sentences start lower case, the doctor calls your step-mom by your pet name for her, etc.

Apart from render/animation quality, the only redeeming charateristic is the amnesia story, which lends a bit of intrigue by default.

The game ends before it’s really finished. You never find out when he regains all of his memories, why he was in a coma, or how the relationships continue and reach a happy ending. I hope the game is still in the beta phase, but in that case it shouldn’t be sold as a final version. The basement at the end isn’t even fully furnished, because at some point the story just stops, and it feels like you’re only at about 70% of the game.

PROS
+ Non AI parts of the game's visual quality, and style looks alright, and the ''sex scenes'' has animations.

CONS
- Story is awful, there are lots of unnecessary stuff happening for no reason, and almost non of them are enjoyable to read.
- MC is not really likeable, he mostly acts like horny teenager with 2 braincells only.
- Love interests are not really likeable either, younger sister has the cliche trope y'all know treating MC like a sh*t, and acting like a b*tch for no reason. Older sister has some weird advices to the MC. His girlfriend is cheating 304. And list goes on...
- Gameplay is quite repetitive, especially thanks to not having good amount of content.
- The whole new direction with AI is terrible decision.
- The game is 5 years old, and non of main characters has a real sex scene... Which is mind blowing, and comical, this CON alone makes the game not worth playing already, and terrible game. And don't wait to see a lot of side girls having good amount of sexual content either, the game has only couple side girls with couple scenes, and that's all.

VERDICT
It's terrible game not worth anything at all.

I haven't tried the "Remake" version yet, so these are just my opinions on the other two versions.

The gameplay is repetitive with scarce content. Some characters have more content than others. There's a lot of unnecessary stalling with this project as well. It's like the Dev is doing everything to avoid sex scenes for the main characters.

Aside from the gameplay, the MC is stupid or mostly is portrayed that way throughout the game. He has his few cool moments, but idiocy seems to be an undisclosed diagnosis. He's overly horny which can ruin plots and moments if it's too much. I didn't like the whole Eva fiasco.

It made both characters look bad and gave players a false sense of our choice mattering. I didn't want to screw Eva, I wanted to break up with her and have nothing to do with her, but porn on the brain MC/creator had other plans. I can see this scenario coming back in future updates, if it hasn't already where if she cheated on MC he "punishes" her which is a joke to me.

Renders where the highlight, I don't understand the need for Ai if the art was already good begin with. Just creators fixing what isn't broken. This had the potential to be great too, which is unfortunate.

Update 0.103.
The direction of going with the AI always carries some risk. AI can be good for the AVNs but it can definetly be worse. And trust me after playing 0.103; I can honestly say that the choice to go with the AI renders was a mistake, the AI renders are laughably bad. And for 30$!!!!

This game is a joke and a very bad one. From the very beginning, every effort in this game was put into prolonging a never-ending milking. More than 5 years, and there are still no sex scenes with the main cast (MC's family). Progress is still at the teasing/groping stage.

The story and characters are garbage for incels and simps. MC is beta; the younger sister treats you like shit, and the older one is lecturing you about accepting the fact that the cheating of your girlfriend is a grey area, that she had her reasons, feelings, etc. Typical whore reasoning to avoid responsibility for her actions by scamming some loser into accepting everything through a lot of made-up reasons and irrelevant bs. The whole game is soaked with beta energy. From dialogs to characters behavior, we can see that MC is just a naive, pathetic little bitch and creep. Your girlfriend cheats on you, you get raped (no jokes), you are horribly mistreated by younger sister, and everyone lectures you and gives their bullshit about how you should feel and perceive people and their deeds; it's just yuck. It's not a man's fantasy; it's his fucking nightmare)

Now Dev joined the most popular milking scheme and began to "remake" his game that he by himself pushed to the stage of broken mess. But this time he even used AI. And it looks like shit; characters in those AI animations don't look like themselves, uncanny valley effect, glitches, distorted proportions, etc. It's basically a mockery of the game at this point.

Even the blind will see that the developer of this game takes his supporters for dumb imbeciles that he will milk to the end.

After remastering, this game has only one drawback - it's 15 GB in size. Beautiful graphics, great camera angles, an exciting and not too long story, a lot of girls to look after, an understandable MC path selection system and an understandable quest system. The game does not let go of the player's excitement for more than 1 second, which allows you to approach your favorite scene ready to discharge))

Great setup and story. Like the render and Alexandra is a perfect stunner. I wished the story would develop faster, but given the quality of the renders it might be difficult. Compared to other VN´s this is a clear 5 star for me.

After remaster this cool game turned into low quality ai-cg shit. And Im totally dissappointed about it. So sad, because before it this game was one of the most beautiful in it genre. Now its not worthy of attention.

The only thing for which the game can be given a 5 is the quality of the renders. But even in this aspect, the author was able to break the system, adding AI animations completely breaks the picture, they are unnatural and extremely low quality.

Everything about the script content is complete garbage. I will omit the point about the fact that in 5 years of development, the story practically does not move and the author simply milks subscribers, enough has been said about this here. Let's discuss the plot anyway. They show us in flashbacks what the macho protagonist is, but what we see is an absolute disgrace. Some kind of femdom lover wrote the script. Every, absolutely every woman in the game wipes her feet on the main character. Your fragile sister beat the shit out of you, now you're her bitch. Were you raped at work as a slave? Well, it happens. Is your girlfriend a whore? Well, bro, it's your fault that you fell into a coma, do you even understand how hard it was for her? Therefore, it is absolutely normal that she jumped on the first dick she saw. Go and apologise. By the way, you met because she beat you up. It is simply impossible to endure this narrative garbage, I sincerely feel sorry for those who paid money for it.

Sadly no sounds and one of the worst, if not THE worst pacing/development - 5.5 years and we still have no clue about the story/plot and are at hj/boobjob with main LI's.

The game has potential to be 5 star and one of the best adult games, but the dev/team are doing their best not to be...

Just horrible. This dev and the game are an apotheosis of everything that is wrong with the adult game industry nowadays. More than 5 years and no one from MC's family was actually fucked even once; instead, progress was stretched into never-ending, braindead teasing. And now behold the pinnacle of this circus - a fricking REMASTER of an unfinished game that was still very underdeveloped, and on top of it, the use of AI. And it looks like shit. Even I, when using a free limited AI service to animate photos of friends or family for laughs, greetings, etc. made way better work, and the animated versions were way closer in look to the original with saved body proportions. What this dev does with animating random renders into lame, meaningless scenes is nothing else but cringe and mockery at the game. It looks horrible and unnatural; characters don't look like themselves at all.

Give me 2 hours and the unlimited paid version of the AI service, and I will do a way better job of animating the same amount of random renders, and it will take me one day at max. And believe me, I'm not even exaggerating; Dev just made it look like he was doing hard and meaningful work by "remastering" his own game, which he himself brought to the edge when the game became a stagnant, broken mess, and I'm sure he did it intentionally to justify the need for remastering to prolong even longer game "developing" without any actual progress and expected content. The remastered version still has a dumb plot and writing; sometimes it's even worse than it was before. Characters tell things before knowing about them, weird behavior, plot holes, inconsistencies, and all of this in a REMASTER, CARL!)

The story is still trash, with intentional player gaslighting by dumb and shady characters behavior, cheap drama, and a lame MC, just to manipulate the player to have interest in the future update to see why MC is mistreated or if it's true that one of the girls may just be a dumb whore or unloyal cheap skunk, etc.

This dev is a lazy scammer and milker who did one thing right - visuals (renders and animations) to lure not very bright, gullible and naive dudes into his game that was never intended from the very beginning to satisfy players in any way. I regret only one thing: horribly wasting time on this trash of a game.

P.S. Can't believe that there are people out there that still support, believe and give money to this "dev"...

First off the quality of renders and the use of AI for integrated moments in the animations gets 5 stars. Alexandra is a goddess and quite possibly the best milf I have ever seen rendered in a game - and that is saying something.

The only reason I am rating the game as a 3 star is it has been out for YEARS with very little story progress. Yes, very meaningful and time consuming work has gone into the reworked version. I had not played it in forever and just decided to give it a look. I was blown away by the image quality and animations.

I will absolutely buy this game on Steam when the story has progressed - substantially - with the main 3 gals. I'm just not sure how long that will be. A completed Amnesia would definitely be one of the best adult games out there. From a pure render and animation point of view, a completed Amnesia might be THE best adult game out there. The completed part is tough variable in that equation.

The game is of the highest quality, yes, there are gaps between updates, sometimes long ones, but I don't care if not this game, I will find another to enjoy in the meantime. It will be awesome if dev actually gives out more content from this point on and take this game seriously.

Ok so the release schedule is much, much better than the original.
First things first, the graphics are amazing! What the heck, I don't recall the last time I saw something looking this good!

Gameplay: 5/5 (To the point)
Story: 5/5 (It doesn't need to be complicated - I like reluctance and slow set up)
Animations: 10/5 (Simply art)
Characters: 4/5 (I prefer more realistic models, just me)

Notes: It would work better to have one of the characters' routes completed instead of having a bit of progress for every character. Making progress for one of the girls and completing it makes it feel like a TV series with different episodes every few months, which feels rewarding, also, this allows you to revisit completed routes at a later point.
Having small bits of progress for all girls makes it feel like it will be a long time until we get to some action, and might discourage interest in the game.

The sandbox is very poorly made. Story/setting wise the game is pretty average. Could've been worth playing if not for the sandbox but I'm not gonna struggle with a useless, and frankly not needed, sandbox for such a mediocre story. The only saving grace was the visuals and renders. However the dev has trashed that aspect too with the "remaster". The AI animations and AI edited renders are sometimes weird and poorly done but are creepy and ugly in most cases.

The game was always good and remastered even better. Great and funny expansions with the smartphone. And both sisters are simply amazing.. Now there is an exzellent basis on which the game will hopefully be completed.

Everything is good, the construction, the storyline, especially the girls. The only thing is that, the update is too less frequent... it has been many years, but the story still hasn't come to its climax. Hope that with this remaster version, the brilliant author can give us more to see, we can't wait to see what will happen next!

Great game and excellent remastering. The added animations add narrative depth. Looking forward to more similar projects. The game overall has a refreshed look that reflects great development work. The gameplay is simple, honest, and intuitive, unpretentious and entertaining.
