AMNESIA. PROGRESS REPORT v0.105. WEEK #4-7
I’ve just read the comments under the previous post and saw a lot of negativity related to the long update cycle and other things. All I want to say is this: I am always grateful to everyone who supports me financially — even if it’s just once. I always warn you when an update is going to be small, and I never push anyone to subscribe. If you feel that you’re not ready to pay a certain amount of money — that it might leave you with a bad feeling afterwards — then please don’t make that purchase. I’m sure this alone would reduce the number of negative comments by a lot. One thing about me: when I start working on a scene, I fully dive into it. I don’t want to get distracted by anything else, not even reading comments. And the scene with Elena turned out to be exactly the kind of scene I want to spend as much time on as possible.
At the moment, the situation with artists is still unresolved. There is no stability in that area, and we’re trying to figure out how to improve it. This time, however, we’re approaching the problem from a different, more global angle: we’re considering creating a separate training project where new artists could learn and grow, so that the number of skilled artists could increase geometrically. Because I can’t simply hire a beginner — their work wouldn’t match the quality level of our game. And hiring experienced artists is also difficult: either their rates are extremely high, or they are impossible to find, or (quite often) their rates are extremely high and the quality still doesn’t meet the standards of the project. As for stable updates — this remains a top priority for me. But without a larger number of new, capable artists, it seems nearly impossible to achieve.
Sis lookin' good!
And are those BS words enough for his subs to shut up and continue paying him? Lol) Honestly, I can even understand the dev; having subhuman losers as his subscribers is quite neat, you can do nothing 6 days a week, only writing once in a while some middle school-level justifying fairy tales and getting greatly paid for it)SUPER ALEX comments
The AI dude is gone since the last update. The last Kate scene already looked way better than the AI slop. Hopefully they at least learned from that mess...40 animations, wonder how many are all AI![]()
And how did you get the idea that the developer himself doesn't use artificial intelligence? And why did you insist that the last update to Kate wasn't made by artificial intelligence? Maybe the last update to Kate was made by the same AI, only better than you imagined. The AI dude is gone since the last update. The last Kate scene already looked way better than the AI slop. Because AI still isn’t implemented in any AVN at a level where you wouldn’t notice it. There are AVNs that manage to make it look okay aesthetically, but it always stands out — just like it did in Amnesia, where it had a very negative impact. And how did you get the idea that the developer himself doesn't use artificial intelligence? So maybe this developer learned to use it correctly like the others! Didn't you think about it? For some reason, other developers successfully use artificial intelligence, and this one, in your opinion, cannot learn to use it correctly! Or do you think that if he failed to successfully use artificial intelligence the previous times, it means that he will not be able to learn to use it at all!? It's just ridiculous to think logically like that. Then you are still surprised that they react to you somehow differently. Yes, because your logical thought looks ridiculous. No lunch, my friend, but it is so. You don't know why such a large number of animations were made, but you tell. Moreover, the developer said that he doesn't have enough professional people to make updates faster.Because AI still isn’t implemented in any AVN at a level where you wouldn’t notice it. And you really don’t need to respond in a passive-aggressive way again. Your way of arguing is a bit questionable at times, and I even asked you once to please just ignore me because I find “discussions” with you very exhausting…
Once again, let me spell it out for you, since you clearly have trouble reading my replies correctly. So maybe this developer learned to use it correctly like the others! Didn't you think about it? What others are you talking about? I've played hundreds of 3dcg games with AI animations and there is not even a single one where you can't tell it's crappy AI shit. And there's a simple reason for this. AI is not yet at a level where it can replicate original handmade stuff. Even if you use it in the best possible way, it always looks like something is off.So maybe this developer learned to use it correctly like the others! Didn't you think about it? He played hundreds of games! The ones that didn't even smell of artificial intelligence? As an example, play the games Burning Boundaries: AWAM: Love in Themptation. These are the games that are made with the help of artificial intelligence and you will see the difference and quality of the game, but you won't tell delusions here. Another expert philosopher was found. What others are you talking about? Yeah it provides significant relief in terms of workload, and I agree that it has an impact on updates being released faster, but please stop your nonsense to make AI seem as good as the original handmade work.
Well, I'm telling you once again that if you don't know whether the developer mastered Shea or not in the same event with Kate and in the future version of the Elena update, then don't claim that the work was done thanks to manual work. Assume this: but you don't need to claim it! At the same time, make yourself look ridiculous and then provoke people with your messages with unknown information. No one knows this except the developer, what he is creating the future update of animations with Elena or the artificial intelligence that he may have mastered and used or whether it was manual work. And please don't make these provocations anymore with your unknown statements that the developer does not use artificial intelligence. If the developer had personally told you that the update is done thanks to manual work on Daz 2-3, then I probably wouldn't have responded to your message. And since you don't know this specifically and are telling me what casts doubt on this issue, there's no need to tell me. I also think I explained it clearly, and you understood.Once again, let me spell it out for you, since you clearly have trouble reading my replies correctly.
The guy who pushed hard for AI animation in the scenes — and who was partially responsible for implementing them — left before the last update, and has been gone for quite some time now. That means that in the most recent update, the one with the Kate scene, he was already no longer involved, and Alex handled things himself again. And you could see that, because the quality went noticeably up again.
And that difference compared to the Elena update — the one before it, where the use of AI looked absolutely terrible — that difference is obvious. AI simply isn’t at a point in this area where you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. It would require a lot more training, and even more know-how. Since Alex only used AI in a very basic, limited way and not as the main tool, I strongly doubt he suddenly managed to push AI toward “perfection” in such a short timeframe. That would seriously surprise me.
It also wouldn’t explain why the update with only the Elena scene — which, according to him, was already “almost finished” when the Kate update was released — suddenly took many additional weeks to complete. Amnesia will probably always contain small bits and pieces of AI, but I do NOT believe he will continue relying on it as heavily as before, especially not to the extent where scenes end up looking as bad as they did in the Elena update
