An Adult Visual Novel using Sims 4, do you like it?

About a year ago, I came up with the idea of creating a visual novel using Sims 4 as the "visual engine." As an active player of games like TS4, Skyrim and Fallout, all heavily modded with both aesthetic and NSFW mods, I realized that I had turned TS4 into something so visually stunning and creatively flexible that it could serve as a unique platform for a VN. With the sheer potential offered by mods, I thought, why not create a visual novel?

Although I had periods of inactivity, I recently decided to push through and finish developing version 0.1 of Episode 1 and get it ready for release. Long story short, I’m currently about 99.5% done with the first part of Episode 1 of my VN, using a heavily modded version of TS4 complete with HQ mods, hundreds of skin texture mods, custom eyes, hair, objects, furniture, and more, as well as pose mods, Wicked Whims, and others. I’ve spent many months on this project (even without factoring in the periods when I didn’t work on it). My main issue early on was trying to do too much at once, creating tons of images and sexual scenes, instead of working incrementally by programming and adding to the game bit by bit. However, I’ve now refined my workflow and become much more organized. This means that once I release the initial version, I already have a ton of scenes and images ready to integrate into the game, so future updates will come out quickly and with plenty of content.

The story is set in a fictional city (a U.S.-based island) that, in the universe of my VN, is an up-and-coming metropolis (think of a Western-style Dubai, with european scent). It’s emerging as a major hub for finance, fashion, film (with its own industry), luxury, and tourism. The MC is a former boxer who had to reinvent himself after an injury ended his career and eventually found his way into the world of finance. Beyond the typical linear structure necessary for a VN, my goal is to incorporate many sandbox elements—though not to the point of being a full RPG. There will be free-roam sections, cellphone mechanics, social media apps, and plenty of player agency. You’ll have the freedom to choose who you want to be: a good person, a jerk, a psycho, someone who takes advantage of others, a playboy with countless girlfriends, someone who cheats, someone who stays faithful, someone who marries and builds a stable life—or anything in between. I have an endless list of ideas for a rich and detailed world full of personality, which I’ve been crafting for quite some time.

I believe the project has potential, but I’m writing this post to hear your thoughts. Would a VN like this interest you? Do you think modded TS4 works as a visual engine? Does it appeal to you? Personally, while I think hyperrealistic models used in most adult VNs look great, I find that many of them feature characters who, for my taste, aren’t very appealing. In contrast, Sims 4 (when enhanced with mods for hair, textures, eyes, bodies, and a well-crafted setting with stylish and tasteful decor) feels like a highly attractive and unique alternative, but I’d love to know what you think.
I’d also like to know… Do you like the setting? A big city with infinite possibilities, ranging from the corporate environment at the heart of a successful financial company to forming friendships within the porn industry or the cinematic world. I even have some content I’ve reserved for future updates that will explore ties to organized crime. What are your thoughts on having an African-American protagonist? How do you feel about the freedom to be faithful to just one partner, have multiple girlfriends, or be naturally unfaithful?

I’m really excited about the project, and while I’m going to develop the game no matter what, it would mean a lot to hear your opinions.

Warm regards to all!

Here are some screenshots from the current version of the game, which, if all goes well, I’ll be releasing today or tomorrow.

Honestly, there is literally no visual format that I can't accept if the story/kinks/writing is good enough. Except Roblox. Fuck Roblox.
