VN - Ren'Py - Angel & Demon [v0.4 P2] [Saint]

I'm having trouble finding words to describe my discontent with this game but here it goes...

1) This game should be labelled NTR. They set the MCs boyfriend up to be a cuck making fun of him, and pitying him all throughout the game. Even implying that women would have to settle to be with him. as if she was obligated rather than wanting to be with him. The guy is average and more than adequate in that department. I think this is supposed to have a pure meaning to it, like when you love some one and you don't sleep around most sizes will bring you joy and satisfaction, you don't need a horse cock to get off. It does feel like a NTR plot though, and I despised how he was being treated.

2) The BBC fetish stuff is unavoidable... I respect peoples fetishes and preferences but this was incredibly insulting. I'm surprised it's not called for what it is. Racist. Black people are just people, they're not a superior race. Not all of them are walking around with baseball bats they just tend to be above average. At least add some representation by making the boyfriend somewhat comparable.

3)The karma system is incredibly binary. There's no middle ground the character has no middle ground from which to choose and no outcomes reflect it. It mostly revolved around prudence towards porn, promiscuity, anal, and other things that aren't very Christian. There's some valid arguments but mostly a typical modern lifestyle.

Thoughts:
The mom and dad, as well as the brother & sister relationships was my favourite parts of the game, the parents felt genuine in their beliefs and traditions. The brother and sister relationship was maybe a little too easily brushed over but seemed wholesome. The story was kind of interesting.

The game wasn't a complete flop but really not my cup of tea. Probably should of read some reviews. 2/5

Did try this game because of he lesbian tag... I don't know why this tag is placed because this whole game is about "women have to serve men" thing, the developer even block the, only, voyeurism lesbian scene because you didn't try to get every penis.
At the end: the game was a pure waste of time with malicious heternomative crap because of an misplaced tag. One star.

Best game I've played for a long time. Delicious realistic graphics and realistic slow burn story ( not talking about angel demon thing but have no problem with it also) we want more games like that i love slow burn

It feels like I'm playing carpal syndrome simulator.
Just a lot of dialogue going by with no options on my side.
It also doesn't help/progress the plot at all, its just dialogue.

Characters look very nice tho.

3.There is a lot of potential for lesbian routes through the whatsapp group
the bad-
1.the secondary characters I don't care about at all, and the game follows their part of storyline. i am only here for veronica. 2. there is no option to skip sex with the boyfriend. sex is not a joke, so Veronica should have a choice whether she want to have sex with a person or not.
what would be great to see in the future- i hope Veronica cheats on her boyfriend with lots of girls and dumps him and gets a girlfriend.

Good decent game.
The classic good-evil choice is an evergreen.
Technically the game is made properly, it is easy to follow the story.
The sex scenes are not the best, but I see that the dev is improving dedicating more attention to it.

I hope this dev carry on this route, and complete the game.

Review as of v0.3

I don't like to review games that often anymore but I I liked this enough to do so.

I haven't played alot of corruption games out of the ones I have played they go to fast or to slow. For me this one hits a nice balance of both. Because the FMC is more on the slow side but with her choices she can influence other characters and corrupt them. Which to me balances out the slow burn for those that don't like slow burn.

I think the setting of the game's story makes the slow burn nature of the FMC make a little bit of sense. Since she is the good girl and perfect child while the sisters are more free spirted . So them along side the demon's advise will slowly corrupt her. So it won't really ever feel like it comes out of know where to me.

Some of the stories like with both of the sisters while not unique I really haven't seen them in an AVN or at least not that often so I really like that alot.

The only real negative I have with this game is the intro is a little to wordy and does feel a bit boring to me but after the intro it gets alot better.

If im being honest this game probably is only a 3.5 or 4 star game. As it isn't anything special but it does feel alot different than your usually FMC corruption games. I enjoyed the hell out of so im bumping it up to a 5 star

The game has potential but has a lot of flaws.

They are natural unique I like their quite original characters have hair between their legs not all but they do. I give 10/10 Helen's character is I hope she has a very large bush between her legs.

Quite interesting The conflict between Angel and Demon, the alter ego of our FMC wants to lead to good or to the path of corruption. Quite original, rarely seen in games.

, if you are not a fan of RPGs, it may be too long for you. Font, is centered, which is strange to read at first, but you can get used to it.

2. I have a big problem with this. Helen's mother The mother probably has amnesia for everything. It's a bit illogical.

This is a visual novel, but we don't have much influence on making decisions, what's the point of choices in this game if they don't matter because we're forced to watch scenes without the option to skip them?

The plot is too chaotic, at first it seems like it's really going to be a well-written game, but later it just gets worse. The choices between good and evil are completely unnecessary because they lead us to the same scenes, sometimes they're changed, sometimes they're not.

I feel sorry for the characters the most because they're very well made, the renders look really good, but as you can see, graphics aren't everything if games are created in such a way, in VNs you should give players choices that really matter and one of them is skipping scenes that you don't want to see...

It went full tard. Your best friend dies and you show no emotion.
You wake up from the dead and no one notices. And all the religious bs makes it bad to touch your boyfriends dick. But having sex is the right and good thing.
And all the sex scenes are forced with that lazy hipster.

I'm giving it 2 because of the effort put into it.

Visually, it's really one of the best games on the board (my 2 cents), also because it doesn't use the typical run-of-the-mill models. That alone is very refreshing. I don't understand why the game is penalized because of the short, admittedly exaggerated BBC scene at the beginning. This is really just the beginning. Other games, on the other hand, are riddled with stereotypes and are not immediately punished with 1 star ratings. I'm excited to see what happens next

Not a bad game per se.
The models look nice, the idea is good if very standard at this point and the writing is okay but also very inconsistent at times.

But the extremly obvious and uncomfortable racism holds it back a lot.
Every black guy is an asshole alpha with a huge dong here to corrupt our women... Feels like I'm being going back in time reading this.
And reading the thread I don't think the dev is gonna change this any time soon...

If you don't mind the racism, this is an okay time. If you do, this one prob isn't for you.

Racist in a way that left me feeling really gross. Also has one of those weird feminist stereotype characters- I thought we left those behind in like 2012. However, the writing wasn't bad (especially for a non-native speaker) and the 3d imagery was well done, so I've given it 2 stars and not 1. I just can't give it any more than 2 stars after all that racism. I'd appreciate a warning beforehand, at the beginning of the game. Then, I wouldn't have spent my time on it since it's not for me.

More specific stuff:
- Black character is a misogynistic drug-dealing bbc alpha dude.
- Main character is uncomfortable speaking to Black people and has only spoken to a "few" in her life. In the USA. No mention of any excuses like living in a rural mostly white town. In fact, it seems like she lives in an urban/suburban area. There's no way she wouldn't have had some black classmates, neighbors, teachers, or at least like, a local librarian or a postman or something.
- Main character says to another character who is dating a Black person "I didn't know you were attracted to them?" and this supposedly liberal girl says she "wasn't attracted to them at all" until recently, and she is only attracted to them because of the "injustice" they experience. (Um... what???) This might be a joke but it didn't make me laugh.

Maybe this is just a fetish I'm not into, but that is all the more reason to label this stuff. I'm assuming that's the case. But in the off chance that the author seriously thinks this kinda thing is normal, then I'd really urge them to sit down and talk to even just 1 black American person.

I was pleased with the first update of the game. It seemed rough around the edges but had lots of potential. Fantastic realistic models and body shapes being a huge positive. Corruption of a cute, naive girl. Family members in place to play their part, in either helping Veronica's corruption or her helping them to be sexually corrupt. Dialogue was not great but not terrible. (Foreign Dev, so that was always going to be an issue for writing) The plot is fine, having her choose to follow either her angel or demon mentors for each decision. It is overall enjoyable but still has many issues. There's enough to keep you interested, even with the small amount of lewd scenes. Slow burn corruption is always fun.

Second update was a disappointment to me.
Too much inner thoughts. Even when people are actually in mid sentence talking, it still happens more than actual dialogue. The inner thoughts are also poorly written & go on forever saying the most obvious things. There's already the angel and demon conversing with Veronica in her head. We don't need even more of the characters talking to themselves for pointless dialogue. Most Devs treat players like simpletons, thinking that they need to explain every little thing (especially non english speaking Devs). It's the exact opposite - less is more. This is why it's called a Visual Novel. You're supposed to show, not tell. Inner thoughts are only meant to be used sparingly for a character's most important feelings or thoughts. Not every second line of writing.
Dialogue - Characters tend to say the same things in 5 different ways, most things are over explained and could be cut in half. Would be good to see more personality or make the conversations interesting when talking. Especially when it's mundane things, like making dinner, doing chores, etc. Show some of the characters likes or dislikes, while doing it. So we can know them better.

Looks like the scenes are too dark normally, so he has artificially raised the brightness. The Gamma is way too high, scenes need more independent lighting. Maybe he is still figuring that out?
The resolution of the images is quite poor half of the time. The clarity is bad and pixelation of models and objects can be seen clearly in about half of the renders. The other half look fantastic (other than the over brightening) This is such a shame as all the models with the details of their bodies are very nicely done, some of the most realistic and well made I've seen. The breasts sag, their pussies are hairy, there's stretch marks, flat asses. I love the more natural and true to life look the Dev has made. Veronica is up there with the top female characters for her body shape and look. Strange that the quality of half the images are so poor. Seems like a big waste. When it's clear that a lot of work has gone into creating these highly detailed models.

Both have never masturbated or even watched porn before & have almost no sexual knowledge - Both calling a dick a Pee-Pee lol.
Maria not realising, having a relationship with her brother is frowned upon by society. Even arguing with her mother that she can't shower with him anymore. Yet they are adults, their older sister Sarah is a porn star, Veronica has sex daily with her BF, Maria has given a BJ. Even at Veronica's first viewing of porn, it's like she has no clue about sex. Nathan (her Boyfriend) even explains how you need to stroke the penis faster for it to orgasm. There's no 22 year old woman in her position who would not know these things. She's having regular sex with her boyfriend, lives in a city with a normal family, would have had sex-ed in school, along with her friends and pornstar sister telling her things. It's fine to make your female MC innocent but to go as far as that, is way over the top. She literally has the mindset of a 10 year old girl, which is impossible for the life she has around her. This is like some kind of Bizzaro land where young adults are completely uneducated, depending on the scene the Dev wants to tell.

Gym session felt like 5 minutes on describing how to do a work out routine. Not exactly exciting or relevant, especially for how much time it takes up. Veronica is worried of her breasts falling out of her smaller sports bra & wears a long top to cover herself up but they are in their basement gym - So who cares? Then has no problem taking off her top after and posing with Maria for pics with her nipples on show? Finally showering with her sister naked, all this change within about a half hour. Maria purposely does provocative poses for social media with her gym workout. Saying how guys love it and make comments about her body. Then later when they are showering, she acts like she knows nothing about sexual behavior... Like I mentioned above. Logic is not strong with a few of these scenes! BTW Maria's head is way too big for her body lol. Looks like a Quagmire Funko Pop figure.

There's also the issue of following either the demon or angel. If Veronica follows the demon's orders, she will go to hell. If she follows the angel's orders, she goes to heaven. The problem being most players would choose the full corruption path and almost certainly end up in hell. As the demon's path is where the majority of lewd and sex scenes will be. I'm not sure the logic of that plot point is fully thought out? lol.

I'm nitpicking for quite a few of these things but some are fairly major problems. Even with the issues, it's definitely not a bad game. In fact this could turn out to be a surprise and get better and better (I hope). I guess the problem is for everything the Dev has done great in this game, there's a bad thing to even it out. Which is very ironic considering the angel & demon title! After a couple more updates I'll see if there is an improvement. Can hopefully give a higher score if it is better. Dev is constantly on the game thread here, willing to listen to criticism and seems genuine about making the best game he can. I wish him the best as he always treats people with respect no matter what they say.

[Version 0.2 Review]
Angel & Demon is a fantastic AVN focused on methodical corruption of the female MC, and so far, it does so extremely well.

• Models: High-fidelity, but more importantly - realistic. Women in this game don't have bolted-on breasts, perfect skin and hourglass figures, but they are nonetheless gorgeous. The mother has wrinkles and looks age-appropriate, which is a rare find these days.
• Veronica (MC) is very much in love with her boyfriend, which presents a great foundation for either of the two planned paths: purity or corruption.
  • The purists will play a part in nurturing a supportive/loving relationship not only between our two soulmates, but also the other family members.
  • Those who prefer corruption will have a hand in helping Veronica explore her growing sexual desires, either with or without her boyfriend involved - as well as do the same for your mother and two sisters. It is pretty clear that the corruption path will offer more sex scenes, so do keep that in mind before eventually complaining.
• The game is planned to explore a lot of popular fetishes like incest, interracial, pregnancy and more.
  • For all of you incest fans: romantic incest is reserved only for MC's younger twins, the sister and brother. And there might be some non-romantic scenes between the sisters (including MC), but there won't be any feelings involved - just some innocent exploration.
  • For the interracial lovers: The scenes in the prologue intentionally take the fetish to an extreme, something the actual game will not do. Though there will still be some sweet interracial loving for the MC, as well as for other family members. To top it all off, this game introduces Sarah, the older sister, with a mixed baby - and the same will be possible with Veronica in one of the endings. Honestly didn't expect the dev to include these plots, as many interracial-focused games don't even bother involving interracial pregnancy as endings.
• Story is engaging, and rewards reading the dialogues. This is a corruption game with a focus on story & exploration of different fetishes, so bring your best reading glasses to fully immerse yourself!
• Choices matter, but you won't be locked into a route unless you truly dedicate your "choices" to some specific path. After a certain point, some paths will be unavailable, though it will be obvious with the ingame Karma system that you haven't done enough to stay/begin that route. This might be a warning to some: the game will heavily involve MC's boyfriend (who is not traditionally masculine in any way) in sexual activities at the start of the game, and depending on your Karma alignment, he gets more or less involved.

Overall, a must-play for fans of the slow-burn corruption, because the dev here is taking a more realistic and methodical approach. There will be no fetishes taken to the extreme: the dev promises a scalpel, not a hammer. I look forward to seeing this game through, and if anything at all strikes your fancy - give it a try!

Good pacing, good dialogue, and the character models dont look like inflated balloons. The biggest downside is that the developer leans waaay too heavily into race baiting bbc stuff. One of the first characters you meet is the sister of the MC who's a single mom with a black baby. The most important prologue character is a dyed hair, chubby, feminist who met a jamacian illegal immigrant in a black lives matter rally and fucked him out of white guilt. I like corruption themes and the whole angel/devil system is great for that, but if the entire visual novel is going to center around unemployed black dudes with white girls, then I'll have to drop it.

This game is a perfect example of why "racism" needs to be a fetish tag. It leans waaay too hard into the whole "BBC" thing in a way that makes it just a matter of course that obviously all black men are dead-beat dads, have huge dicks, are out to subjugate and breed white women, love fried chicken, don't have jobs, and are also exotic immigrants.

You know, if you are into that for a porn game or for sex fiction... alright, fine. It is fantasy, and as long as you can recognize fantasy from reality, I won't kink-shame it. However, when it is this extreme, it really needs to be labeled on the tin. It might shock some people here to learn that some people find racism to be just as un-sexy as others find it 'dangerously' erotic and exotic.

I'm not even going to touch on the sexism, which goes so far as to literally say that all feminists are self-loathing misandrists who are (again, literally) going to Hell.

Aside from that, the writing is serviceable (above average for VNs of this style) and the renders are just about what you can expect for any other VN here, especially if you like that 'everybody over 35 looks like a strung-out drug addict' look. The concept and potential choice variety appear promising, but are so minimally implemented at the point of this review that I can't comment on it.

After all that, you might be wondering why I gave this game even two stars, to which I reply: have you even seen the rest of the "games" on this site?

Excellent game so far with beautiful models. I love the concept of the good vs bad with the female protagonist. Hopefully it separates itself from Good Girl Gone Bad and doesn't force you down a specific path to enjoy the content from both sides (good and bad). What about someone who wants to appear socially good wheel doing bad things? Hoping to see an option to live almost a double life.

the game is generally not bad, there is a choice of action, the plot is normal, what I didn't like anymore is how a girl looks with breasts and a nice place, too, I don't really understand everyone has their own tastes for the game, but it's a playable game

This was a really promising opening chapter that shows a lot of originality and great renders.

The concept and plot are really intriguing. It's basically a female corruption game, but with much higher stakes - the MC has been given a second chance at life with an angel and demoness attempting to win her soul by influencing her life choices.

This gives the player an incentive to not just pick slutty choices every time. (I don't want to send her to hell and "lose" the game just to unlock sex scenes.)

The game includes other family members who can also be corrupted, like a Mom and sister. I'm not interested in this type of content but doubtlessly others will enjoy it.

It's definitely worth checking out and supporting, even at this early stage.
