), which is pretty easy to use. It's in Overwrite mode by default, so you can just open the file, find the part you want to edit, click into it, then type the value you want and save it. Then re-launch the game and load your save. If it worked, you'll get your updated value. If it didn't, it'll probably detect the save is corrupt and reset it to the beginning.That said, direct editing of files like this isn't a novice operation. HxD keeps backups, but you'll need to be comfortable changing filetypes in Explorer in order to turn the .bak back into a .dat.
