So I think I may be pretty picky when it comes to these adult games. I don't want a porn game with story added, I want a story with maybe some erotic content that is at the right time. I have played/am playing:
REALLY GOOD:
Depraved Awakening
City of Broken Dreamers
The DeLuca Family

Pretty Good:
Being a DIK
The Proteus effect (RPGM)
The Coceter Chronicles (RPGM)

Ok:
Babysitter
Where the Heart is

Meh:
Sisterly lust
Deliverance
Dating my daughter.

What I like? High stakes. I am not a fan of the harem route. I have issues where I clearly have to see how far I can take things with every character (FOMO), but I'm not really interested in MC blowing a load 17 times a day. I also have a completionist complex, and have a hard time not finishing games I start. This makes it a pain in the ass (and daunting) to start playing new games. I have used the search function and have gone with recommendations from there, but I am feeling a bit bored and "really?" (OMG ever since I saw your giant cock I have been wondering how it tastes!, I've known you for12 days, and I'm falling in love with you). Good renders are important, but secondary. Character development is good. Again, story is what I'm after right now. With no sex scenes, would the game be interesting? Stakes. Do your decisions matter? Is there any sense of urgency or importance in what is happening? Well done, engaging writing. Is it believable within the genre? Playing Where the Heart is, I feel like most of the content is "You're hot, I wanna bang you" "OK! I want to ride your giant cock". Good sound track is a bonus. City of Broken Dreamers and Being A DIK have great sound IMO. Very immersing and appropriate.

I know these are pretty unusual qualities in these games. Just looking to see if anyone has any other ideas. Games I've downloaded but haven't played yet are
Light of my Life
Starship inanna
Where it all began
Acting lessons
Long live the princess.

I'm apprehensive starting another of these because they were similar recommendations on a thread about where the heart is, and this one just isn't my thing.
Thanks for any help

Mostly great games; LoML might take a little to start growing on you, but once it does you should be set. Check out NotTravis' Heavy5 as well. And obviously, you should try Love of Magic ;)
