There was a game demo that I downloaded from itch.io a year ago. It was about anthropomorphic (furry) animal empires/kingdoms fighting each other. The main protagonist was a lion and he was setting up the story for his son. It was very high quality 2DCG, very well drawn. It may have even had voice overs too. I think there was a battle element to it. The Lion king fights a Tiger? Queen and they gravely wound each other and later he wakes up in her tent and they have sex.
