Just kind of a game with full freedom. Choose who to be with, customize things about them and yourself, and you're free to do whatever, it's not linear please. Any game that fits this of any kind is great (except text based games).
Generally people would point at Koikatu or CM3D2 or anything else from those two companies (Illusion and Kiss)...
As a fair warning, both games are drawn in an anime style (Illusion has other games that are slightly more realistic), and both companies specialize in 3d games...
