Anyone else hate the koikatsu art style?

Generally I see people praise the art style and I was in the same boat when I was new to these games that used Koikatsu for the art, I used to think it looked really clean and original, after after a couple years of playing all kinds of VN and Games using Koikatsu for the art I've kind of grown to hate it, and now pretty much skip games that have it. My preference is 2D all the way but I used to think koikatsu was the next best thing to that. But a lot of these games use such simple looking models, the same environments and assets reused over and over again, and something about the engine really bothers me, the lighting most of the time is horrible, everything looks washed out and oversaturated, there are no depth to the shadows, the models are quite low poly, when trying to create older characters like older men or grandpas they all look way too baby faced, like college guys wearing fake beard and it looks ridiculous, same case is with women too, you don't really know if a woman is 20 or 40 unless you use the visual contextual clues and invest in the story. But from a strictly art point of view it just looks so boring to me these days, nobody ever tries to make something look unique or original, and that engine has so many mods and tweaks to it you have so much potential there.

Another thing that I see is the way games reuse the sex positions and poses over and over again, like I get why they do that and creating new animations are hard but its not that exciting seeing the same in every game but with different characters, like everyone has already seen doggy or missionary 100 times over, I'd love to see more exotic positions like full nelson, splt cowgirl, maybe utilizing the environments to.

I'd love to see people use Honeycome's/SVS characters, the bodies and shadows look way better imo. The problem is that there isn't that much mods (at least yet) for people to feel like using this games over Koikatsu to make a visual novel, and also, SVS has no studio yet.

I love the Koikatsu art, but here's the thing, i ONLY like it in Koikatsu

I hate seeing Koikatsu art outside the game itself. I don't know if this makes much sense, probably not, i just think Koikatsu's art should be unique to the game itself.

I've yet to see any games use Honeycomb yet, the art style looks cleaner and slightly more updated, but I think the majority of issues would still apply to it, but I don't know that much about it yet. But if modders are able to crack HC I wish we'd see some good games with it. I also heard HC had a online requirement, is that still the case?

Not anymore, Honeycome advanced a lot in terms of mods, the thing is the studio is quite mediocre and doesnt have as much options customization and clothing wise as Koikatsu.

... It's bland, true ...
... But it's because people don't put that much effort into it ...
... Some games can make koikatsu really good, while most just set everything to default ...
... You've got the exact same problem with any illusionsoft studio ...
