I think this gets into the whole NTR topic that's been discussed elsewhere. I'm not really into the whole NTR/cuckold/cheating genre. I get that it's the sort of forbidden fruit or corruption vibe. I just don't need my fun to hurt someone else, even it's it potentially and not directly. Usually, the cheatee is painted as an asshole so the cheater is more "justified" as seen in the above 4chan mod scenario. Maybe if you've been cheated on it's a different feeling.

It's similar to how I prefer consensual sex to rape in stories. I would rather everyone have a good time than one person suffer. I realize it's all fictional and we can't hurt these character's feelings. However, the point of a good story is to get empathetic or sympathetic feelings for the characters. It's not always a hard pass for me if I see these things show up. Again, it's a preference in this case. Something like erotic gore, I am out.

Either the husband want's his wife to explore other partners because he's unable to please her or the wife is cheating to help her husband out of a bad situation. No problem. I realize I'm not really the audience for this genre. I try my best not to cast aspersions on other people's fetishes. I do agree that justifying the cheating makes it more palatable.

Ah I think I'm understanding the thread a bit better now.
So many of the comic out there that involve cheating fall into either incest or inter-racial and these often fall into effectively the same motivations - wife is either neglected or unfulfilled or husband by design or by accident puts the wife in certain situations. This then escalates to her falling in love with sex with the other.

The secondary relationship is usually, by most definitions, abusive and often supported by the initial partner if not emotionally, financially.

The 1st part I can sometimes relate to as having a bit of fun, though often wonder at the stupidity of the husband. 1 trope is "I've never had an orgasm like that", I think seriously pal, if you have an emotional connection you've got a 10 minute head start, prior knowledge gives another 10 minutes, take the old fashioned value of ladies first and jobs a good un.
That or the 2nd part and the 4th wall is shattered and I lose interest.

@kiteares Hannah's corruption sounds interesting. I'm going to look into it. I understand your point. This genre is similar to the other categories I mentioned because of the corruption.

In the beginning I never understood how a husband could entangle himself into a cuckold scenario. That's what compelled me to learn more about the psychology of the behavior. Long story short. It makes more sense to me now. Thanks for adding to the discussion!
