as we can see Western RPG games started to become better than almost all the Japanese H RPG games , best examples for this games like struggling with sin , peasant quest , claiers quest,
The Last Sovereign ,
Renryuu: Ascension

and many more !!! they are better game in almost everything meanwhile almost all the new Jap h rpg games is about some girl getting corrupted and being repetitive . so props for all the DEVS here i just want to say u are doing hella of job keep going on and i'm sorry if i didn't mention some other awesome games !

I agree, Japanese tropes are stale and sclerotic. I see western devs do a better job even if they take influence directly from said JRPGs. Most of all Star Knightess Aura, which I checked out only because the lack of "completed" made it stand out for me among the slew of RPGM shovelware filled with rape and tentacles. It's only 20% complete, doesn't have much sex and uses many anime tropes, but the writing is so, so much more entertaining than any JRPG I've played on RPGM, and the corruption aspect is excellent.

Oh, and screw censorship, that alone is enough to make me stay away from them at this point.

I don't know, it's all about personal preference. None of the games listed here appeal to me. I used to play a ton of RPG Maker games but it's been really hard for me to find anything interesting in recent years from either Japanese or Western devs. Mostly what i've been seeing is what are really VN's with some combat thrown in that's just wasting your time or shovelware made by amateurs. Having said that though, if i had to list things out for the past 5 years, my list of Japanese-made games would be longer than my list for Western-made. To each their own though, just saying that i wouldn't agree.

But since we are trying to appreciate Western devs, i'd like to give a shoutout to Indivi with Lust Doll Plus. That game would be at the top of my Western-made list.

Eh... most western games are some harem romance stuff while most japanese stuff are corruption.

They are both stale, but I prefer wonton corruption over some wish fulfillment romance.

That said, the only game I've played extensively from that list is TLS (which is amazing, but not because of anything porn related).

Not very sure, saw 3 games recently. LonaRPG and Slaves Sword (Slaves Sword2) and KingExit, the first 2 gave players a lot of freedom. The last lack of freedom but good at plot Of course the more freedom the better. But J-type games always give me a feeling of dark & somewhat realistic while western Types have a feeling of Child play perhaps that was caused by artwork, for now J Types still has unmatched 2D artworks. Still i agree that west RPG is growning so fast on quality and they are much better at 3D artworks. I really want to see more good western RPG, they are still too few right now, considering Japan is just one nation while entire "western" is consisted by...Bruh >_< In 2021 entire U.S comic industry lost to a single anime called Demon slayer...more bruhs. I guess in west the artists no longer care about the needs of readers they always try to hide their political views on comic books sometimes forceful promot their views on money payers. So people start to vote with their feet since they couldn't vote with their hands anymore. Meanwhile Japanese artists know their places still are trying the best to make cosumers happy. The reason you see "Western RPG" raise because the game makers are not being forced to promote something the public don't want, they can make products with their true hearts under much bigger freedom. With true hearts & freedom, western RPG artists are as cool as Japanese artists...(well almost)

Western porn games suck in general, but western h-RPGs in particular are absolute shit. I tend to blame Patreon for that, but regardless of the reason they are objectively not worth playing.
