VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Arbiter's Gaze [v0.8] [ProneHouse Studio]

This game has so much potential. The artwork is more than ok. It gives the players imagination a chance to polish the roughness, instead of a glowing, smooth perfect pixelpicture that looks overdone.
Also the scriptbugs NEEDS to be fixed or else Dev will risk losing interest from us.
And that rope thing needs to be removed. A BJ request is more common and relatable to the players, than a ropefetish.
Or start even with reluctant kissing. Gradually turning the forced favors into blowjobs and maybe more.
Anyhow, will keep this on my watchlist and hope that she gets forced by that big black beachguard. Yummy!

Excellent game (if stays within its style and finished, ofc).
PROS:
1) Comix-style CGs.
2) Avoidable sex/cheating/NTR (except for the dream so far)
3) Perfect story which clearly simulates a porn-game player.
4) Multiple answers, so that you decide on the sex/fetishes.
5) Awesome "the best possible ending" (i.e., you are already able complete the game).

CONS:
1) Occasional weird faces in CGs.
2) Character has no adequate background to cheat or respond like a slut. Seriously, the heroine is really happy with her boyfriend, so why should she jump on every dick? Probably some dialogues/choices at the beginning could fix it.
3) Story about the Chosen One… Again…
4) Your responses influence some hidden stats, like lewdness, submissiveness, etc.--but it's the game mechanics of previous millennium. I prefer to understand what choice influences what "stat".
5) Too short as of August 2019
(on the other hand, I UNDERSTAND HOW F*CKING MUCH TIME WAS SPENT TO MAKE THOSE CGs! THX, THE DEVELOPER-DUDE! YOU'RE AWESOME!)
6) Bugs.

Very surprised at the very favorable reception, but as of version 0.772, this is not a good game (nor does it have a lot to do). The art is rather poor (maybe pair up with an actual artist instead of tracing/drawing over photographs), the writing's mediocre yet wordy and the choices don't actually mean a whole lot yet (I assume for each choice you get a point in a hidden stat and thus unlock more scenes).
There are actually a good number of Ren'Py VNs out there deserving of support - this is not one of them (yet).

This is a very promising beginning to a game. The story is well-done, with enough believability that suspension of disbelief is easy. The hand-drawn art is generally very good, though the appearance of the main character is sometimes so strained in the "anger expression" drawings that it is hard to recognize her as an attractive character, let alone the main character. Some minor bugs in the last two versions (for instance, not even firing the event that has the MC meet the editor of her favorite book series), but nothing too major.

Not much happens in the story in these early days, but there is no grinding and the possible responses of the MC are clearly leading somewhere. I am a bit concerned that a player that doesn't stick to a coherent response strategy will miss most of the game without ever realizing it, though.

I am looking forward to the further installments of this game with enthusiasm.

Not very enjoyable playthrough. Dull story line with cliche answers. Graphic is good as it feels more like comic though. I think this is okay for quick play and if you don't mind boring storyline. Can't see why it rated more than 4 stars.

quick sum-up:
female protagonist is written to be believable (understandably taken back at the start at lewd acts)
unique artstyle
interesting concept of a plot
many pictures has characters with weird drawn expressions, and sometimes just downright unflattering appearances b/c of it
boring start due to it being early in development

I really want to love this game because I don't hate the artstyle, its unique and not common among games on here on f95, but the artist needs to flourish a little more on expressions. They look a little uncanny, and I dislike the coloring on some pictures. It's very bland, and unflattering. The story is boring because there isn't truly happening at this point, and being a visual novel it can sometimes lose steam in story as you HAVE to follow the story - no exploring elements.

TD;LR: Unique artwork but greatly needs working from coloring to character work, being a visual novel makes the plot move slowly, and nothing much is going on at the current time.

I really like the comic book artstyle, take me back to my first erotic comic books (Manara, Serpieri ...)

Only 4 stars because of the MC psychology, everything is too easy, she does not want to but she's going to do it anyway.

Edit : I'll give it 5 stars anyway, for now, so many games i don't like are overrated.

Story seems interesting as an idea, but somehow the MC seems way too reluctant to do anything to go against the stream. She seems a bit oblivious and easy to talk into. I found that to be a bit too easy.

Gameplay is a typical VN, there's few choice here and there, while the rest is linear storytelling. There is nothing wrong with that, even though some more choices would be good. The choices are mostly obvious and down to practicality and I don't feel so far they have any bigger impact on the playthrough.

Art is... I understand this is down to personal taste the most out of all, but the art style is just not there with the most other hand drawn games. It's definitely unique.

The game is sort of short in the current state as well. Definitely warrants a retry at a later date and perhaps a new rating as well.

The short gist: Pretty good story, typical easy to corrupt and talk into female MC, simple VN with few choices and art which is unique and an acquired taste.

first I was trouble seeing the pic with the green monster, but as I play, I understand it was just an optionnal phatasm... good news for me !

it's fine to see so much choice during the game. Hope there will be more consequences in the future

I enjoy the MC has real desire and don't act like a frightened virgin.

Art: 3,5/5 (between 3/5 and 4/5)
Art looks similar to comic books from 2000's. Its different from (almost) photorealistic renders in current games, but like majority of hand-drawn art, it has its own charms.

Story: 5/5
Author is really talented in story writting. Story isnt just some garbage to justify dumb sex, but it has really deep development, sometimes you will even laugh. One of the best stories I have ever played. Lets hope author will keep up with this high quality stuff.

Gameplay: 4/5
This is your typical VN with choices. Some choices are purely practical with immediate effect (e.g.: go on nudist beach or go on normal beach) and some choices shape personality of main character (in conversations you can choose between submisive responses, or slutty responses, or reluctant responses, etc. Those responses are self-explanatory).
The game has a lot of choices, but unfortunately not many of them have visible results yet.

Current content: 3/5
Unfortunately the game is really early in development and it has only 30minutes of gameplay. But those 30 minutes are really good.

To sum it up:
This game has really great potential, but unfortunately current content is too short. Current game version deserves like 4/5 at best , but for big potential I will recommend this with 5/5. This game should go on your watch lists and check it few months later.

I'm so exited about this game right now, so pardon my mistakes.

Writing in this game is fantastic. One of the best written stories on this forum! Great style. And so many choices. Someone has real writing talent here.

It's a corruption game of course. I've chosen a path of evil (let MC to be corrupted), and it still feel realistic and very enjoyable.
You can resist of course but it looks like it's not going to be very successful (but probably boring or unpleasant).

- there's probably going be be some lesbian content in the future.
- it could be worthy competition for Good Girl Gone Bad

This Game reminds me of a Hentai Comic called "Enoughmin hitozuma",
where the wife goes to a rich old man,in which he does all kinds of Perverted stuff with her,and as a reward he Pays all of her Sons medical Expenses.
The art is very Good and Refreshing,will love to see where the Dev will Take us too.
