After the bland and disappointing Valkyrie Svia I decided to give Armored Warrior a try to see how it compares since I heard good things about it. Long story short Iris is a massive improvement over Svia and is one damn fine nukige. So long as you're into the fetishes it offers of course...
The story is actually fairly decent for a nukige. The MC is called Iris, and she and her partner Mei Li the space elf are Armored Warriors who battle against the enemies of the Space Federation. During an assault on the surface of a planet they are defeated and become separated. Iris finds herself captive and is sold at the slave market to a totally-not-jabba-the-hut alien named Bozuk. There she also finds another girl named Riruru who looks suspiciously like Mei Li. *nudge-nudge wink-wink* Riruru works for Bozuk as his right hand elf and she will also be Iris's wingman during her "job".
After that the fun begins. Iris is forced to prostitute herself to Bozuk's various customers. The catch is that each time she can choose one of three clients, each coming with a specific fetish: body modification, monsters, and "vanilla" (if you can call any of this vanilla). Doing six of each line in a row will net you an ending specific to that fetish. There are also a couple of other endings: the good ending and the true ending. Achieving them requires you to pick the clients in a certain order, however I am not exactly sure how one would be able to figure it out by himself since there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Just use a walkthrough.
The characters are actually quite decent for a nukige. Iris is a tsundere with a hidden lewd side, and Riruru is a perverted tease just waiting to awaken Iris's inner sex freak. Their personalities complement each other very well. The story was also quite entertaining overall. It's no masterpiece, but it was certainly much more involved than most nukige. The final two endings especially wrapped things up very nicely.
As for the scenes, well they range from "vanilla"-ish to "wtf am I doing with my life right now?". There's breast expansion, belly expansion, aging, futa, a whooooole lotta monster sex, and more. Some of the scenes were way too much for me so I quickly skipped through them, but most of them I found really hot to be honest. The best ones were by far the ones featuring Riruru as well. I wish she would have joined Iris more often in the fun but oh well. They also have just the right length and they never overstay their welcome. Most of the scenes come with only one CG, but that is understandable give that the game has close to 40-50 scenes in total. Each CG does come with many variations and the artwork is amazing: CG's, sprites, and even backgrounds, all of it is top tier stuff. Hat's off to the artists.
As for the rest of the technical details: the VA and music are great. The music especially manages to set the tone and ambience really well and make the H-scenes that much more erotic. The controls are kinda dated, but this is to be expected of this title. I managed to get the game running through Wine, however only in windowed mode. I had to change the desktop resolution to 1280x720 just to be able to read anything since the game is 800x600. Other than that I can safely say that the game runs well on Linux. I haven't tested it yet but I assume it runs just as well on Win7. Not sure about later versions though.
Overall this was one fine nukige. I recommend it to those who want some spicier H content, but without it being TOO out there.
Verdict: 4 stars, an excellent addition to any coomer's collection. I think I would have give this 5 stars if it weren't for several fucked up scenes.
