Unity - Completed - Arrival of the Goddess [v1.05] [NTRMAN]

At the end of the day it knows what it is and is paced very well and gets straight to the point. Voice acting is a massive bonus here and the art is also really well done. Really the only thing that would've made this better is if there was more of a real story or character development to give a little more oomph to the ntr stuff. Beyond that though its overall quite good.

Arrival of the Goddess is a very solid and complete game. This game for me checked every box. I liked the feature where if you were to lose their would be consequences. Having multiple ending also make you go back to play again to unlock every scene, which I liked. NOTE: The way to save in this game I was not a fan of.

I'm so much into this british chubby, that I'm willing to overlook every possible issue with this game just because of her.
I would punch random people in the streets for just 2 or 3 more scenes.
I'm storing it in a special place in my hard drive. just to watch this distinguished lady get ruthlessly banged again, when life loses it's meaning and I need some emotional support.

Never before have I felt so conflicted.

Coming off the high of Tenants of the Dead, which was one of NTRMANs better games, with the best being the remake of the Inn. But put those aside because not only was this to be NTRMANs latest entry, but also based on what is likely his magnum opus work "Awakening of a Goddess". Needless to say, I was pretty darn hyped.

And then it finally arrived!

I pushed aside the comments of disgruntled fans, ignored the suspiciously vanilla screen shots, and dug in. What I found, was exactly what many in my shoes did; disappointment.

Let's get the good out of the way, because we all know what to expect from NTRMAN. High quality artwork with some banging sex scenes, the wife in this is smoking hot, the tribal women are damn fine too, NTRMAN just knows how to cause a boner to rage. The setting is also nice, squarely centered around the same area that Awakening of a Goddess took place in. And heck, the mini-games, as frustrating and tough as they can be, are well put together.

The bad comes from the story, which takes a big departure from Awakening of a Goddess. In this you travel with your wife to the tribal village, partaking of the local booty and smashing your wife from time to time, all while awaiting some trial by a goddess to obtain a cure for the zombie plague that we encounter in Tenants of the Dead. Guess this confirms it, we have an NTRMAN Universe. The NTRverse.

The difference here is that Awakening of a Goddess has a heavy voyeur fetish, as you, the reader, see that, unlike the husband, the wife is being taken to pound town by the locals on camera. Her slow possession by the goddess influencing her decisions, eventually leading her to abandon her old life and become a breeding cow for the village. The husband has no recourse, the wife is gone, end of story. So you'd think in a version of that where the husband is on site and taking action, that he could change his fate. Nope.

There is one ending, which is very weird. To this point all the NTRMAN games have had multiple endings, even if some of them were nothingbugers. But here, you can only ever see the wife fully possessed, run a train on by the village in front of you, and then you end up locked in the goddess cave while she evily walks off. It matters not how you approach the trails, if you win or lose them, if you bang the village girls or not, if you do the silly riddles, none of it matters because you get one ending.

Even still, because of the hot artwork, the sexy sex scenes, the plump girls, the hidden items around the map that unlock outfits for the gals, I still can't go any lower than a 'good' rating. Plus, the hint at the end, that we'll be dealing with aliens next is hilarious.

If you're into NTR, this is likely one of the best games you will find. The devs art style is unmatched and while I normally mute voice acting in games, Claire's VA was so good I had to leave it on. There's quite a few scenes and you can unlock everything in about 2~ hours give or take.

Oy vey! There are nearly 80 reviews on this state-sponsored interracial NTR game, so lets keep this brief with some simple pros and cons:

Pros:
- Fantastic English voice acting
- Gameplay actually matters and feels rewarding
- Simple, short plot for a simple, short game
- The interracial NTR trope is, by far, one of the most overused tropes in hentai. However, for this game it actually makes sense for the plot.
- The white guy actually gets to fuck the black chicks, its not just the typical case of "light person gets cucked by dark person."
- Good character design. This is how you should draw fat girls in hentai. Not grotesque lumps of flesh but realistic heavy women.
- Girls are all attractive and scenes are hot
- Animated well enough
- No censorship

Cons:
- This game is an adaptation of the comic "Awakening of the Goddess." That said, it's not a good adaptation. The comic is a well-paced horror story with actual tension and nuance. The game is a fast-paced story with no tension or nuance in the slightest, while trying to add too much of his personal flair and storytelling to it. I bring this up because I want to highlight how this game had a perfect blueprint for the story and manage to mangle it up.
- You can see the animation and art lines on the models
- Janky mini-games and movement (games are still fun though)
- Long load times and screen transitions
- One dedicated save spot that is far from decision points, making vanilla and one of the NTR runs a pain in the ass.
- You need two hands at some points, a cardinal sin of hentai games
- There is genuinely no reason to have to walk around town. The overworld exploration is annoying padding.
- This is a visual novel masquerading as a RPG game
- Changing cosmetics is only for the standing CGs, must be collected on an obnoxiously large overworld map, and can only be changed on the main menu.
- The endings makes me feel like this was just a buffer game and advertisement for NTRMan's next game
- No harem ending. The "win the challenges and fuck the girls" NTR path should've been a harem ending in which you got your cake and ate it too. The way it is written makes no sense in the slightest.
- There is a clear order of events for the NTR path, but you find this out too late (as you see the h-scene) and for each stage of the game this order is changed.
- The NTR is not built up well (it's blunt as shit) and the character actions and responses do not flow together as you should expect them to.

I feel this game is really coasting on the NTRMan name. If you're attracted to the visuals, then it's worth playing. It's kind of hard to find h-games that have realistically shaped fat girls and normal looking dark-skinned girls, so I think those factors override the NTR aspect if the NTR aspect is making you weary of playing. The story quality, character writing, and sex logic is quite absent; but the hentai quality and quantity makes up for those factors to a degree at which the game is still worth playing.

4 and 5 stars are too much for a game that:

1: Doesn't have many scenes.
2. Difficulty has no meaning at all. I played "FAP" (easiest difficulty) after Netorare (hardest difficulty) hoping that the mini-games (the ones that lead to NTR if you lose) would be easier but instead of that it just gives you the option to auto-win the mini game... I wanna play and win, not skip but you have to, even though it's the easiest difficulty, 'cause those NPCs are too fricking strong.
3. Corruption is really too fast. Even before the 3rd scene she's already f up.
4. Race play. Im no fan of that at all. For some reasons these tribe men all got a huge dick (and they got dark skin, how STRANGE), MC got a good dick and it's funny how the 2 girls with whom you can have sex tell him that it's big, that it's good ajd and that they never felt like that. Girl you tellin' me that only the 3 "villains" out of all the village got a huge dick and are capable for whatever reason at sex? This really makes no sense. Sometimes I believe that it would be better to leave the "big dick" part and to focus more on the corruption which 10 years ago was about oral skills of the villains to steal gfs, now it's just about who got the bigger dick. A shame.

I wanted to give it at least 3.5 but the endings are badly written and there should have been even more endings.

NTRMAN is the type of author that makes alwasy great H-scenes but that can fuck up a lot plot-wise, like here. He made GREAT games like "Camp with Mom" and it's a shame to see such a talented and hard working guy failing like this. I saw that he has many projects that he follows all together, just follow one, make 1 game that is really good, give it many endings, more scenes and whatsoever instead of making many that are weaker.

Game is good, best work this developer has made in my opinion. Appreciate the voice acting, smooth game, and inclusion of more dynamic game play than prior titles. A minor critique would be that traversing the environment was a bit of a lull in the excitement, the collectables helped a bit, but I was left getting bored of walking and dreading it. If the walking included either a sprint, or engagement like more people to talk to or more "comments" from passing villagers, it could have been more of a consistent positive experience for me if that part wasn't as much of a drag. I also appreciate the enhancements in audio and voice acting, these are huge improvements. Last mention would be that the minigames were great additions, but could use balancing to make the difficulty consistent (maybe that was intentional), but the raft minigame felt WAY too easy while the fight was nigh impossible for me.

Regardless, this game is great! I am impressed by the developer's growth from prior titles.

Can't believe I missed this game, the animation is well done, the gameplay is a little hard because the draft race is a bitch, story line is easy enough and well the developer really lives up to the name. Really enjoyed the NTR material and hopefully based on the ending there will be a new game coming soon.

The game is simple and straightforward, art is hot (especially if you're into interracial) and the VA is a plus. There is a non NTR good ending but the focus is on the other paths. If you can like NTR i suggest giving it a try.

I liked it.
It could have had the wife share scenes and husband share (MMF and MFF). Claire could also have been a bit more difficult, or at least it would have been nice to have bit more footage on the built-in to that first fuck with Kele.
The art-work is very charateristic of this dev and I find claire sexy.

I liked the game for the most part. 3 endings 2 of them NTR endings. Scenes are pretty hot too, especially if you are into NTR. I'm not but it was still pretty hot. My one complaint is that one of the NTR endings is notvery obvious and honestly upset me a bit. You do everything right and win but the game punishes you for having your cake and eating it too. If you win every trial and fuck the daughters of the opponents, your wife still ends up getting corrupted and becoming a tribal onihole. Honestly, that bothered me. Fortunately you can set the difficulty of the game at the very beginning and basically auto win or lose at your leisure. Unfortunately, on NTR difficulty some the challenges can get quite difficult, especially the fist fight. And saving is a pain in the game. You must go to your hut to save or load which becomes a hassle. But on very easy mode you can pretty much get all endings in just a few hours. Just remember, if you want the happy ending, don't fuck the daughters. Stay faithful to your wife. You can also get away with your wife getting used once or twice and still get the good ending. But be careful. All in all a 4.5 star game. I like that the developer made NTR avoidable in this game, in a way it makes the game more engaging. Part of you actually wants to win and can. On the other hand you can also choose to loose and get NTR. It makes both paths all the more meaningful I think. I just wish there was a harem ending. I mean common dev, If your wife can become a onihole than you should be able to have your wife and the daughters too. Its only fair according to the rules set forth by the tribe, which lets face it, is kind of weighed heavily in their favor from a realistic point of view. "Hey white man, the challenges are fishing, fist fighting, and rafting, things we know you have never done in your life, good luck, if you fail we fuck your wife over and over again each time you fail." It's only fair he gets to fuck the daughters without consequence if he wins, but whatever. I would get it if your wife found out you were cheating on her and she got upset and spiteful and that's what corrupted her I guess, but the way you get NTR'd from that ending is so weird and unexplainable. It just doesn't make sense.

When I first heard that NTRMAN was gonna make a game based off of his "Awakening of the Goddess" comic, I was actually kinda hyped. That story was one of my top 3 favorite works of theirs, so to see more of that setup but in a playable format was a very enticing prospect to say the least. But after playing the game, I've gotta admit it feels like we're taking one step forward and three steps back with this.


PROS:

- The Sex Scenes are solid as always. All animated and fully voiced. Good stuff.

- Hot character designs, especially the main heroine. NTRMAN never fails to cook on that front.

- This build was overall stable and I ran into virtually no game-breaking glitches while playing through the game.


CONS:

- The story is a major step down from the comic its based on. "Awakening of the Goddess" was essentially this unique erotic horror story told in the style of a found footage flick ala The Blair Witch Project. Where each page (set from the POV of the heroine's webcam during her videocalls to her family back home) depicts the heroine's slow decent into madness as she's manipulated and gaslit by the tribals she's embedded herself with as a part of a foreign aid mission. It had corruption, tension, and incredible pacing that put it a step above the typical NTR setups we've all probably seen in the past. But all of that nuance is gone with "Arrival" in favor of having Claire start sucking and fucking your rivals the second you loose one of the mini-games. If you're only interested in jumping into the smut as soon as possible, this might not be a problem for you. But if you were expecting something with the same energy as the comic? You're shit out of luck. Which brings me to my next point...

- This is one of the most watered down netorare games I've ever played. And that's because NTRMAN or the writers they've recruited decided that it would be a great idea to incorporate vanilla scenes for the milquetoast male MC, to the point where he's laying pipe in almost half of the sex scenes present in the game (he gets a total of 9 scenes and two of the tribal chicks present are exclusive to him alone vs Claire's 10 NTR scenes + a gangbang in the finale). I highly doubt the vanilla or harem crowd is going to be happy since you only get three scenes with Claire while having sex with either of the tribal chicks locks you into the cucked bad end. And the degenerates who were itching for the NTR content get sideswiped by all the dedicated vanilla scenes. The end result is that both parties leave feeling unsatisfied that their niche isn't given the proper focus. Pick a lane and stick with it.

- While I respect NTRMAN's ambition to put actual gameplay elements into his titles, I can't say that I enjoyed any of the mini-games present here in Arrival due to stiff controls and poor inputs. And clearly the dev didn't enjoy them much either because they give you an option to auto-win or auto-lose if you picked the easiest difficulty. The charm of the overworld also wears off fast due to your slow run speed and the fact that exploration doesn't really net you anything beyond outfits that you can't even put on for the sex scenes. There's also this trivia game with one of the tribeswomen that goes absolutely nowhere. Seriously, what is the point of that chick?


Overall, I feel like Arrival of the Goddess is a fumble. A consequence of wanting to do way too many things at once while trying to appease two diametrically opposed audiences, resulting in content feeling rushed and divisive. I'd say its worth playing if you're looking for a quick fap, but there is better stuff in NTRMAN's catalog to write home about.

putting aside the NTR, the game story is decent/good: "there was a pandemic and the only cure for the recent outbreak can be found in the rain forest here, the peaceful solution to it is by participating on the trials/ritual'

much like the other NTRMAN games, its top of the line with is voice acting and animation. If NTR wasn't the issue, I would say a lot of people would have voted easily for a five. Gameplaywise, its a Unity game; its a mix between a Ren'play and RPG with the puzzles and whatnot its enjoyable and having ester eggs around the map is good.

the minigames were a lot harder than actually expected, with the MC's running and walking taking so slow and sometimes clunky. Good thing they have a save menu but due to the slow movements, it takes forever to get home and rest. Overall, the game is 4/5 repayable. Always waiting for his next games. NTRMAN even thinks about those who don't enjoy NTR; he makes a vanilla option.

I think this is the best NTRMAN game I've ever played. I love all the scenes because the perspective is just right—it's not too far away like in Tenant of Death. The graphic scenes are excellent and match the art style perfectly. One of the things I really like about this game is that it features English voice actors. Personally, I prefer mini-games like this rather than a purely story-driven experience.

This is just a matter of personal taste, but I do wish some characters could have different skin tones. I’m not being racist or anything, it's simply a preference.

I'm a big fan of this game. I don't think it's by any means perfect, but I do recommend it.

Opinion on general Concept:
This game, for me, scratches itches that other NTR games rarely do. Most NTR games have sort of a strict idea of what their game is supposed to be, in the sense that the point of the game is that the main character gets NTR'ed. This game, however, gives that sense of struggle and potential victory that feels so missing from many NTR games to me. When you succeed, you feel like you're overtaking your rival. When you fail, you feel the jealousy and arousal as you watch your rival reap his rewards. It makes both sides of the equation feel so much more genuine. I like this direction of gameplay compared to most of NTRMAN's older more choice based VN style games.


Pros -

Actual gameplay that can potentially lead to different outcomes (whether you get vanilla scenes or netorare)

Simple, but servicable plot that plays into the NTR theme well

More gameplay aspects/mechanics than previous NTRMAN games (this could be considered a pro or a con depending on person)

Great visual and animations (as usual for NTRMAN)

Cons -

Few annoying gameplay aspects such as runspeed and whatnot

Overdone interracial NTR trope (personally, very bored with this trope although it was cool that it went both ways in this game at least)

A lot of downtime in between scenes


Overall, I'd personally rate it a 4.5/5 stars. Enjoyed it.

also i like the music and animations and that its finally not censored anymore. also nice AI voices!

but i really didn't like:

you can't see the guys faces during sex scenes. also old chief pinu is way too tall in his sex scenes even he is portrait as much smaller than her during the BJ. also he looks too young hand and leg wise during cowgirl shot from behind... so in the scene it could be anybody... he needs to be shorter and more wrinkly during his sex scenes... but i liked the poses a lot.

i personally didn't felt rewarded after the "bad" ending... the good ending has the best location (waterfall) and the best scenes but with the mc which is boring to me. why not with the guy who mc lost the most to?

conclusion so far:

i would say its one of the by far better ones of NTRMAN. but the lack of perspectives, inconsistent body proportions during sex scens, no male faces during sex scenes and a (for me at least) boring bad (red fire) ending and way too good sex scenes with the male mc even its an NTR game makes the game still just a 7/10 for me. with potential for a 10/10 if at least those things will be fixed. (the past couple games before were all below 5/10 for me personally so its still a big improvment so far!)

Good stuff. Animation is good and the english and japanese voice acting is absolutley amazing with great performances from the actresses. My main issue is that I wish the developer had struck a proper balance between NTR and Vanilla or not bothered with the Vanilla at all because clearly their heart wasn't in it lol.

The vanilla scenes are good great even but there are very few especially if you don't count the sex with the tribeswomen which gives you a bad ending and has you make the dude cheat on his wife which isn't vanilla/wholesome really.

But the ones between the the MC and his wife are great just felt like there were too few compared to the amount of ntr scenes she can have and the reason I say the devs heart ain't in the vanilla is that the writing and narration is much better and bitch is way sluttier with the tribesmen than her husband.

Which is fine for ntr but if I'm going the vanilla route I think a good reward for passing the mini games would be for the wife to be a slutty for her husband at least progressivley as a reward. The only scene that sorta did that was the final scene and for some odd reason the english voice acting isn't done on that.

I think a harem ending would have also been a nice alternative to the ntr as well but instead you have to cut the other women off with no option to breed them all lol.

Basically I wish the dev cared more about the vanilla aspect but it felt like they didn't which made it feel lackluster. Like that bitch is way hotter in those ntr scenes why can't she be that horny for me! (lol)

Ntrman used to be an standard for NTR now is a mixbag of amazing sex scenes attached to a lackluster delivery.

The porn is amzing, how he craft sex scenes is still amazing but the story sorrounding it is lackluster at best and not in a general story telling scene, but is lackluster even for PORN story.

The problem can be sumised in 2 points: rushed progression and spreading thin.

The man is trying to do too many things and not being able to give each of those thing the proper developement.

Lets start for the worst offernder, why there is an overworld exploration? does it enchance the experience? no it doesnt its just annoying padding and honestly a waste of resource..... this should've not been presented this way, it should've been a pure visual novel.

The minigames are awful, they arent very responsive (you fill like you're fighting the controllers more than the oponent) and arent fun at all. And playing doesnt really matter at the end because wether you win or lose is determined by the difficulty so it pointless to play them anyway. It has a way to auto lose or auto win (depending on the difficulty), wich is how its should've been..... drop the boring minigames and just let the player decide.

The corruption and progression of towards the sex scenes feels rushed, especially the ntr ones the fmc goes from 25 to 100 really quickly.
This made by the fact that there is a clear order of events but you are able to pick who of the tribesmen gets with the fmc first.

Kele clearly is the one that should go first because in his scene the fmc still shows some hesitance while with the other two she goes full slut so when you visit Kele last, the scenes dont make sense.

There are too many characters, wich wouldnt bee bad if NTRMAN could develope all of their events properly, but he cant. As a result every pairing except MC and FMC feels rushed.

Its the same problem as with the zombie game, he wants to do too many different scenarios and fails to properly build up and develope all of them

I love that each tribesman has a different aproach and the tribeswoman is hot as fuck, but if this is the result then the game should've only had Mc+Fmc, Kele+ Fmc abd Mc+ one of the tribeswoman and develope them properly instead of spreading so thin with so many pairings.

As a harem like game its an enjoyable time, but it fails as an ntr because of the lackluster execution. Wich a true shame because the setting and premise is premium NTR goldmine, but is sadly wasted.

If i was only rating the porn, i would give it 4 stars no questions ask, but i cant just ignore everything else surrounding it.

It's a simple game that'll needs very little explanation. You and another melanin free person arrive at a native's tribe in hopes to get one of their mythical plants to save the world. There is a catch, where you have to win trials to earn what you want, the tradeoff being if you lose you get cucked.

The trials and the gameplay consisting of it are fun. Trial 1, catch more fish than the tribe leader. Trial 2, race some kid in a boat which is the primitive version of Mario Kart. Trial 3, beat the biggest dude in camp in a fist fight. Just manage your stamina and jab for the win (10/10 realism). It's basic, fun, and nothing difficult which is exactly what you'd see in a H game.

Gameplay aside, the scenes are nice although lacking in variety. Depending on what route you take, there's 3 different women available to you that's usually separated by sex acts. Typically goes from some type of oral to vaginal scenes, with little leeway around.

Overall, pretty good, however, my only criticism is what I call the unofficial "secret" test separate from the trials. It's whether or not you were a cheater in the route you played. If you won all of your trials and took indigenous coochie you get cucked in that ending. That's a pretty big shift in the netorase route into some hardcore NTR without warning, add this pain with the fact there's no manual saves in this game. To get the alternative ending, you have to redo everything all over again.
