Is it just me or does art in male gay games always look fucking insane... Like I am straight and I don't play gay games, but whenever I am look at games in the lates updates section and I see a preview of the game and it looks incredible I can almost instantly guess it's a gay game xD? Why is that? Are gay dudes really good developers or what?? :D

i think you just got hyped, previews usually look better than the real game, it's just pure marketing, but if you played them you would see how they are
well, i haven't played them so maybe i'm wrong xD

Are we looking at the same website? From what I've seen there's 3 types of style for gay games. There is the silhouette banner hiding a subpar anime-esque art style. There's the edgless paper doll style where nothing has outlines, which always looks hideous to me. And then there's the hyper muscled freaks who defy anatomy. Obviously this isn't including the 3D games with the same DAZ or Koikatsu CG as straight games. None of these ever stand out as seeming particularly good to me.

Some of the artists are very talented. But outside furry games, there are not many gay games with great art. Maybe rare exceptions like robin morningwood, lust for adventure, love and war or strange flesh.

Most of the gay H-games you'll find on here will have art inspired by 1 of 2 subgenres within Japanese homoerotic art— and . Essentially, it's a divide between masculine and feminine ("hunk" and "twink" in gay slang). Both of these have had a lot of influence on drawn gay porn, and are really well-developed, with yaoi in particular being developed because of its popularity among straight women (fujoshis).

I think it also has to simply do with the fact that, with there being fewer gay than straight people, gay porn popular and well-liked enough to get put on here has to stand out. Anyone can make a quick buck selling mediocre straight porn to horny cishet guys, but if you want to make a decent living off gay porn, you need a bigger market share.

It could be that sometimes the art/screenshot just looks better as a thumbnail, as I know it's happened to me more than once where a preview's reaction of "OOooo!" quickly turns to ".... ugh" once I see the full sized version.

It is well known that the most technically impressive adult games usually have either gay, furry or futa tags on them. Or even all 3 together like wild life.

Even in the old flash days this was already memed about.
