VN - Ren'Py - Artemis [v0.6.1b] [digi.B]

This is one of those games that you really need to read to fully enjoy. Having said that, it is 100% worth the time.

The render quality is extraordinary, as is the attention to detail. The story is well-written and properly planned. The characters evoke genuine emotions. The sex scenes are good too.

All in all I am excited for the future of this project. Could definitely be the next amazing one.

This is it. It has a bit of sci-fi, a bit of funny and a bit of sexy. You have a sorority at your disposal, so yea, lots of girls, all of them different in looks and personality. The characters are really good, the story is really good, this game is really good. Period.
Play it. If youre a VN type of gamer i´m sure this one will be an instant Top 3 for you.

A story which goes over heartbreak, trust issues and the lot, yet always has a sort of comedic tone to it, it takes itself seriously when its needed and is light hearted when it feels like it.

Overall I found the story intriguing, it's a revenge plot yet has more emotion than the majority. The characters all feel unique and have their own flaws, same with the mc.

The graphics are a bit hit and miss in the first chapter although improve significantly in the 2nd one, it even reaches the point where I'd say it sits near the top comfortably.

If we are talking about the H-scenes, this game has some of the absolute best I've seen, in the 2nd chapter that is, didn't exactly expect that from a game this new.

It has a futuristic theme yet not completely sci-fi, all the characters look good (or really good if we are talking about the 2nd chapter)

Overall, really good game, wish the developer the best of luck and can't wait to see where the story is going.

(v2.1) Excellently developed characters, especially Kindra. Humor is on point and the characters look great. Really enjoying the story thus far and the sci-fi elements too. One of the best games out there for sure.

Very nice effort!

I really enjoy VNs that are heavier on the story and character development than on the wanton lust (though some of that is always welcome... ;-) ). The characters grow on you quickly and have personalities that are enjoyable and realistic. It's early going, but the story seems pretty interesting and I look forward to seeing more. The writing is great with some excellent humor and a very good amount of 'feeling'. Like very few other games out there, this one pulls you in quickly and you start caring about these characters from the get-go.

I'll be 'investing' in this one - it seems that it will be well worth it. A great effort so far, and its future looks very interesting. I hope the creators don't let the story get too convoluted, but so far, it's a winner. I'll be keenly looking forward to more from this crew. Excellent work!

the good
- story starts off VERY good. the best
- humor is spot on
- most of the characters look different
- the mc is great!

the bad
- after the beginning, the story becomes a mess.
- renders (the most important thing) are inconsistent. some are very good, some a VERY bad.

honestly, judging by the reviews i was expecting this to be much better. disappointed.

Generic Visual Novel with 'click-to-see-next-slide' gameplay (a.k.a powerpoint presentation), no dialogue options and strictly linear progression (mostly zero impact choices). Only two chapters so far - it's a mix of a corpo story and a college trope with a sci-fi blend. Starring two main girls and a couple of supporting characters. Renders seem to be inconsistent and of varying quality (some look SD while others look UHD). Adult scenes (two so far) could also be implemented much better (are all about clicking back and forth selecting mechanically from "missionary", "cowgirl", "doggy" and "cum".)
It is a promising and ambitious project and i hope that it will be updated regularly and also will be finished in the foreseeable future.

Love this so far, The sense of humor in the game is great, the girls are very beautiful. Ive played 100s of Vn's and its not very often someone comes up with something original like this. If I had the cash I would definitely support digi.B. I hope alot more content comes soon, it kinda sucked to have to wait a year for an update on content. Other than slow speed on the updates the content is top notch.

Bloody brilliant. Interesting story, great chracters, fantastic writing, balanced humour, nice graphics, lots of content in each chapter (took me quite a few hours despite the fact there's only tow atm). Can't wait for more.

I have played a number of these games and I have to say that this is by far one of the best.

The characters, story line, animations are really good and I was hooked almost from the first moment. Cannot wait for the next release and would highly recommend this game and anything else the developer works on as it is clear they put a lot of effort into their work.

Well done, keep it up and I look forward to all future endeavours, if I had the money to be a supporter this developer would be my number one choice.

Comes right out of the gate with a really compelling storyline, well developed characters, some great humor, and some fantastic models and animation. I'm hooked already. Can't wait to see what happens in upcoming chapters.

Artemis is a borderline good to great visual novel so far. You can see it's being influenced by many other works on this site but it still manages to feel original. Several characters sometimes look off (especially the cop, I feel like her face changes everytime I see her) but other than that there's really no major flaw.

An interesting story about a guy who was in rock bottom trying to climb his way back up. Renders are inconsistent sometimes but other than that, they're pretty good. Some of the girls are interesting altough I find some of them boring and suffer from inconsistent characterization. 9/10.

One word for this game... Spectacular. I think it's clearly evident the amount of passion the dev put into this game. Top-notch writing, engaging gameplay, and choices, and the right amount of pacing. All the characters are so attractive and amazing. Keep up the amazing work dev.

Holy shit, this is one of the greatest VN's I've ever played through, the artwork is frankly superb, and the storyline is Fucking Amazing!!! The characters have depth and show growth, and the main character is relatable, and has gone through troubles that all men end up facing with two faced women in his life. Only thing I would like added personally, is an option for trans/futa content, but that's a personal fetish and not necessary. Also, wish the childhood friend remained a virgin, but again that's personal preference.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention. It's a really great game with an original story, interesting characters and awesome renders. It's also clear the dev's attention to detail as the menus are really well done, something quite rare for newcomers.

Surprisingly, it has a really good story and some form of character development than most games with flat out sex hungry characters. The story is enough to keep me interested and the sex is the bonus. A very simple trope but a good one if written well, so far its going to a good direction.

Artemis is a story which has yet to find it's game genre, but that isn't a bad thing.

As a visual novel, it is well served by the story. While there is some polishing on the writing which could be done, the story itself is surprisingly rich. Obviously putting aside the necessary tropes of your adult game setting, there is rich material and background to most of the characters with some benefitting from more content than others.

The developer is still working and exploring how to present that and has elements of combat, point and click, and more complex decision trees which serve the story well but run against the more streamlined nature of a typical VN approach. Right now, as of release 0.2.1, that balance is mostly working although there are far too many zero impact choices that can be made.

Given the wide selection of richly defined characters I think that continuing in a strictly linear progression as opposed to a more open sandbox style approach may prove to be a less than ideal solution, but I'll refrain from a final verdict until there is more content to consider.

As for the renders, those are of varying quality. At times they are extremely well done, but at others there are enough issues it can be almost cringeworthy. The "wet skin" effect, in particular, is one which comes up frequently right now and it frequently comes across as a sloppy texture instead of the actual desired effect.

When they are on point, though, they are quite fantastic. On the non-human objects which have high detailed renders, of which there are more than a few, the developer has shown just what they are capable of. So I have faith that this is a learning curve and something they will be able to get dialed in nicely with future updates.

The biggest issue I can cite is one which I can't entirely fault the developer for and that is having clear systems in place that currently have minimal to zero impact on the game. These systems, such as the relationship scores and LiDAR, are telegraphed to be something that is intended to be made more important as content develops further but right now it just teases about possibility without really delivering anything.

At the moment I am hoping there will be new interesting content before this game has joined the ranks of so many others as a promising title that now collects dust.

The writing is done really well most of the time especially the beginning which was the best part of the game, u really feel for the MC. It does have an interesting plot but as the story progresses it kinda seems more surreal. For eg:the small town is filled with prodigies:-

1.Bartender/college student-June a Pharmacology prodigy

2.DJ/Robotics prodigy- Kindra who is also child of unnamed scientists who has a secret underground lab that can rival Tony stark

3.MC-Software prodigy who created AI in high school

I mean I liked overall story it's just that the story began in a grounded & realistic manner but later on starts spiraling out 1 after another thus breaking the immersion.
I honestly did not like how the whole sorority part was involved in a well fleshed out story. I know its the easiest way to introduce a large number of potential LI but seemed bit lazy on the writers part. Speaking of girls I was only interested in June & kendra(vulvamort too) personally all the rest felt like the obvious stereotypes u usually see
Speaking of sex animations the best sex was the beginning 1 rest all weren't that polished.

It's just so good. This is the closest experience I've had to what I think a AAA VN would be.
The renders and animations with various physics are mind blowing. The story is very interesting with nice touches of humour. All in it's just quantity, and not gringy or overdone.
Shocked by the lenght of the story for it being just two chapters, and by the fact that I believe his first project. You know when someone makes these games to meet Patreon deadlines and when someone puts in a ton of effort and love.
Mind blowing to see CH2 is the work of a person with a different main job.
