RPGM - Abandoned - Asper [v0.1.1] [Hyena Games]

Solid core game mechanics, quite reminiscent of old school tactical RPGs like Advance Wars. Script writing is pretty good - deadpan humor mostly.

There will be room to improve with additional features such as ship customization eventually perhaps - looking forward to more from the author as this grows.

Definitely great art quality too.

I am jumping the gun by reviewing this at version 0.1, so I hope whomever reads this in the future finds this humble review helpful when deciding the initial start of the game rather than the later parts to come.

This game holds plenty of promise. The gameplay is solid. Sci-fi in an RPG Maker game with these custom assets? I have never flown a spaceship through space in an RPG game before. It is very satisfying with well scripted repeating quests. Intriguing lore hides behind a comically uncaring main character and his interactions with NPCs.

The artwork? Divine. The dev commissions AwesomeOrange-- and they do a fantastic job. I very much enjoyed the scene after quite a challenging battle~!

I hope this review encourages you to play.. and the dev to continue working on this fantastic game.
