Hey guys, I'm Mimir's Lab, an aspiring visual novel developer. I've been lurking for a while in the forum, only coming out to comment on select matters concerning storytelling, as I'm quite biased about that. I know that the visual novel space has become quite crowded recently but I feel like there are significant changes that I can bring to the medium that will set me apart from the others. Currently, I am pretty dissatisfied with the storytelling and/or sex in almost all of the visual novels that I have played and I hope to raise the bar or at least pave the way for future developers to adopt higher standards for themselves. In the following days, when I've had more time to articulate my thoughts, I will make a few forum threads, one of them a development thread for my upcoming visual novel, and another detailing one of the issues I see in the current state of visual novels and how I hope to fix that in the future.
