So I'm trying to use voice actors for all the characters in my game. I have a narrator, and I have myself playing the voice of the husband since I can do a pretty good deep country accent. But I still need other voices for the other characters.
1. Gothic, Shy, 20 year old female that doesn't talk much.
2. 18 year old, excitable, Christian girl.
3. A Swedish girl with a Swedish accent. She's about 21 years old.
4. A 30 year old male, country accent, lacks education but works hard. Doesn't say much.
5. A 19 year old scrawny nerd who speaks with perfectly properEnglish and uses a high level dictation.
6. A college guy who's popular with everyone but focus's heavily on filmmaking.
7. A bad boy who talks a lot of crap and causes even more trouble.
I'm currently not making money on this game, haven't even released the first build yet. Just a trailer. But, I hope by the end of the year it'll be pulling in some cash. I'm pretty good at marketing and already have 3 patreons even though the game exists only on my PC. That being said, I don't want people to work for free, but I do need aspiring voice actors who can commit to finishing the project over time, have a good mic for their PC, possibly know a little about audio, but most importantly, are willing to do it for the love of the project, and who understand that as I make money, I will pay them money, but it's not a pay upfront sort of gig. You'll sort of have to wait with me as the Patreon grows. But even as a new voice actor, I'd pay you a decent wage. We can talk about thatthrough DM's.
I'm sure everyone has heard this before. "I'll pay you when the game makes money." Believe me, I've worked on some of those projects. And never got paid. But what I have is time, and dedication. If you play the game I have so far made in two months, you will see how serious I am about game dev and completing this project. But this lack of up front pay is why I'm just looking for people who want to break into voice acting, but haven't worked on anything yet. It's good experience for you, could turn out to be great pay, and it makes my game vastly better. And I'd REALLY like to find a Swedish girl to do the main character because I'd like to eventually recreate my into cinematic using in game animations rather than how I did it temporarily.
