This review is for act 1 only.
Gameplay consists of making choices and rare combat encounters. Combat is very easy; I never lost a fight. Besides watch/don't watch scene, the effects of most choices are in managing 3 stats: moral alignment, combat skills, and girl love/corruption. Morality is G/N/E and puts you on three different routes for the game. You will switch routes if your alignment changes. Skills don't matter because combat is easy. Girl love/corruption supposedly determines whether you will see the scene, but it doesn't seem like it is applied much.
As for the porn - descriptions are bad, renders are excellent, animations are poor. No animations in the second half of the game, but render quality does improve. There is a large amount of scenes.

Story is well below average. There are a bunch of different factions fighting each other and you as the chosen one can join one of three allies (G/N/E) to help defeat the bad guy factions. The writing is like a cartoon: "I will summon my cat to defeat you! But I will summon my wolf which will defeat your cat! Haha, I will summon a panther to defeat both of your summons!" I lost count of the number of times my character was saved from death by sudden Deus Ex Machina (more than 5 at least).
Around 2 hours in, the story splits into three routes (G/N/E). The overarching story is the same, but every route has its own subplots, girls, and fetishes. Good route focuses on harem, Neutral on a slow burn incest, and Evil on rape or femdom.

The game has a climax around 5 hours in and that should have been where act 1 ended. Everything after feels like it is part of act 2, and it's like the game abruptly ends in the middle of this second act. Not only does the story drag on past the climax, but the devs start placing less emphasis on the porn and more on the story, which is not the game's strong point. These last two hours feel more like a game with porn rather than a porn game, and this drags my rating down to 3 stars from 4. Devs plan to finish Act 2 around 2023, but if its going to be more of the same I won't play it.


+ Although characters are shallow, they are all unique such that I never confused any of them. Impressive for a game with 10+ girls.

- MC is pretty much the only male in the game.
- Lack of choice in the narrative. My character suddenly became friendly with a demon I tried to kill earlier.
- Devs have a habit of cutting scenes into each other. For example: "Your girl walks into your room. CUT to other characters talking. CUT back to you fucking your girl. CUT back to the other characters still talking."

I've played Act1 so far and will go on with Act2 as I think the game is worth that. Many things that I like and is worthy of a 5*. Like the plot, the MC, most of the LIs and the magic. I even like the fights, something I usually don't and which have made me stop playing some games.

What I don't like is the manouvres I have to do in college when to find what I shall do next. I click and I click but mostly get "locked" or empty room. So boring, give at least a hint which room there is going to happen something. Then it's too much "side action" which I have to see and that's not interesting and don't help me with any plot. Even if I like the fights, I would also like to see more info about possible damage and stuff like that when I choose my attacks. But the biggest drawbacks are the first 2 which is the reason for only 4*.

Calling this game boring is an understatement. you play a harry potter wanna be in a magic school. Boring characters, bland sex scenes, and meaningless plot sums up this game. Supposedly there is an alignment but it is totally meaningless so are your selections

Excellent game with a very exciting plot. Graphics are good. I can say that this is one of my fav. Highly Recommended. All that powers that MC contains is what that makes this game much better. Keep up the good work. Thank You .

Ataegina is a game that is hard for me to comment on, because it keeps me divided. Sometimes I find it brilliant, with a deep game mechanics, character customization, combat strategy and so on. And then, it all turns suddenly shallow as you realize those good ideas aren't actually well developed to make them interesting or fun. Then a new good idea comes in and you think this may balance and make it all interesting, but then it also ends up half-cooked and you're back in square one. Same goes for the story, too serious and deep for a generic fapping game, but on the other side, too shallow and generic to actually be good enough to play the game for it. And there are way too many characters, many of which actually don't matter too much in the game.

Renders have a pretty decent quality, and same goes for animations. And I didn't experience bugs in my playthrough, which is always good.

All in all, I can't really recommend Ataegina, but I can understand that some people may love it. I just see too much unfulfilled potential.

Here are my thoughts after playing v0.5.2.

I like:
- great renders
- good animations, although there's only a few of it
- great story, it's really engaging and interesting, probably one of the best from the games that I've played so far
- great characters and character development
- hot women, and there's a lot of them
- hot sex scenes, especially the scenes with Mida
- player can choose whether he wants to have a romantic/sexual relationship with other characters or not
- the player's choices makes a difference on how the story proceeds and how each characters develop throughout the story
- the availability to track the player's stats and relationship points
- well written dialogues, something that you can only see from high quality games like this
- dirty talk, what can I say? I like it when girls talk dirty so it's a huge plus
- pregnancy is optional and I hope it stays that way
- the fight scenes are nice, but it would be better if the screen will display the curses that were cast on the enemy especially those that lasts for more than 1 turn, but if that would cause too much work and time, I'd be fine with the current set up
- free roams in this game is much easier compared to other games because the player is looking at a map and you do not have to find things aside from talking to the characters that are present and in an obvious location, unlike the other games which made me hate free roams, where the player is in a room and still needs to navigate his way through other areas to get to another one or you have to click everything in the room to get what you need and turns out that you still missed something and so much time consuming

I did not like:
- the game could use more animations especially on sex scenes and a POV option would be great
- it would be nice to see a detailed description of the spells whenever the player needs to, like casting costs, damage over time effects, what it does, etc
- some grammatical errors but it's no big deal for me
- some events will still have the same outcome regardless of the option that you choose, only with a slight change in dialogues
- it would also be great to see the active spells that you cast on your opponent that lasts for more than one turn

I really like Mida so I hope to see more of her in the future updates, hopefully with Katriona, Ayna, Isabella and Katla or probably with the goddess Ataegina, but if there won't be any other scenes with the other women, I'd still be fine with it, after all, Mida is all the Mc needs in my playthrough. I haven't tried the negative alignment path yet but so far I like how things are going and the MC gets to fuck the goddess
Ataegina, I am yet to see if that is still possible in the negative alignment path. The things that I didn't like were nothing compared to those that I like in this game and I really love the story and how things are going so it's a 5 star from me. Can't wait for the next update.

First off, I am a story before sex 'type' person. That is why i gave it 5 stars, the story is new and awesome. I have only played the dark side, so far, but just that was good.

Their arent animations for every scene, but the ones that have animations are pretty standard for renpy games.

The game and characters has depth. I didnt notice any content getting reused, new scenes, new models, new interactions at every turn. I cant remember the music being annoying either, so kudos.

I also dont remember the music manipulating me to make a scene more emotional... Your music person missed some opportunities to strut there stuff.

The fight mechanics are good enough, I did cheat at the beginning though, so they were probably easier than they needed to be. It seemed pretty easy to understand, you shouldnt need to cheat.

One annoying thing, is having no direction to continue the story during the periods where you can freely move. Maybe add an eyeball icon on the rooms/doors for side stuff, and an exclamation point on rooms to move the story forward? Systematically checking every room, every time you see something new, was tiresome. I wonder how many times i clicked on the same room to see it is locked.

I have no real complaints, and I cant wait to see an update. Thanks for sharing your work with us who cant afford to support you.

Ataegina is an excellent game. I took notice only very recently of this game and became a fan instantly.
There is lots of content for this development stage. Act 1 is finished, Act 2 is in the early phase. I don’t know how many Acts are planned for this game, but if Act 2 will be just as long as Act 1, it’ll provide many hours of gameplay, well worth your time.

In this medieval fantasy setting game, where the mc is a mage, you can choose between 3 main routes: good, neutral and evil. All of these routes provide a different experience with different girls of the cast, but at the same time they share the main plot. Therefore this game really has got replay value.

The story is entertaining, if you’re into fantasy in general. It’s well written dialogue wise and even has got some humour in it. Furthermore Ataegina has got an amazing soundtrack, which is rare among porn games and adds a lot to the atmosphere of the game.

Concerning renders and animations it’s really good – no complaints from my side. Ataegina also features a quite big cast of npc women with a lot of variation in it. Additionally the game has got side characters, with whom the mc can interact. As a very personal sidenote the neutral route for me so far was the most entertaining, because it features Isabella, which is a totally stunning blonde with curves in the right spots no other girl of the cast can compete with. But that’s just my personal preference and nevertheless the others are hot, too.

Gameplaywise it’s partly free roam, partly on tracks with some side quests and different choices, which pop up regularly. The engine is ren’py, which is a good choice. In general it’s a proper mix between story/plot/dialogues, fighting and sex, although some fights against some strong enemies can become a little bit tedious. As a suggestion maybe some kind of “story mode” would be nice, where the player can skip some or all of the fights and simply win instantly. Fights aren’t really hard, but as I wrote before, some are tedious, if the enemy has got lots of hit points. Nevertheless this is only a very minor issue.

All in all I can definitively recommend this excellent game, if you like fantasy. It’s well worth to be supported.

I've been playing this for quite a while but my 5 star rating is of Act II since that's what's currently in development; the second half of Act I is more in the 4 star range and the early releases are worse. It's worth it to play through the early parts even if it seems sophomoric at times. The game has improved a great deal since I first tried it: the models have always been good but the quality of the renders in act II (and the second half of act I) are very very good. They are not quite top tier but certainly better than 95% of the games here. They are also in 1080p now which really shows off the attention to detail.
The writing is unfortunately not this game's strong point but it has gone from bad to, well, better. I hope it continues to improve.
The combat spells have been redone for Act II and are a lot more interesting now. A lot of useless spells have been cut and some interesting combos are now possible.
The sex scenes are consistently good both in terms of render quality and posing. There's also a great deal of variety from whores and orcs to some tender romance with your childhood sweetheart girlfriend (who, fortunately, is somehow oblivious to the fact that you've fucked nearly every woman she knows)
Overall, Ataegina is flawed in some ways but it's very enjoyable and I'd easily put in my top 10. Five stars.

Nice game. I have been playing from an early version of Act 1 and I like it a lot. Interesting magic system and side characters. Like the orc girl.

I also like how the demons play into the story everything is proceeding along fairly well.

really this is some good point of story for an adult game, with a lot of stuff u can do but keep in mind if theyr u think just end, its still warm up, well the missing one is not having some animation for the sex scene dunno i forgot but as far as i now the animation just when u use the portal to teleport other place

Thank you, Kthulian. Damn, I love my slave Calessa, especially when she calls me Master. HAHAHAHAHA! It's amazing, I've been looking for a decent medieval ren'py game for a long time, I didn't like any of the ones I tested, but this one is perfect.

One of the best games on the site. Act I has older, worse graphics, but Act II wouldn't dissapoint in that department, although not much of Act II content at the moment. Act 2 really improved upon tracking relationships, battle UI, UI in general, music, etc.

The game is quite linear; you are given a map to explore but only one of the options would yield any scene, i.e. only one way to progress.

Writing isn't the best I've seen, but it is pretty darn good. Plenty of sex scenes occur with considerable frequency, but not all of them involve the mc. There are dialogue choices - half of which are good/bad, and some actually do lead you down different paths w.r.t. the girls you can get with.

One of my few complaints is the semi-chaotic switching between scenes. One such case happened in Act 2 as well. I would also appreciate longer sex scenes with more options, but it isn't a major gripe since they occur often enough. At least in Act 1, there wasn't much point in mastering multiple schools of magic for battle.

All in all, I was quite happy with my time spent on this game. Definitely check this game out, and best of luck to the devs!

Really good.

Now, let's give a note first, tho. It's a porn game. It knows it's a porn game. It embraces it. It's a really good porn game.

The story is fun and engaging, even if it takes a while to pick up. The start is not that interesting, but it slowly picks up. It's fun, it has it's twists and turns and is pretty likable.

What can I say, I liked the game. It feels as it's constantly setting up for "opening" in to a larger sandbox mode, where you would be able to pursue your own stuff, but it never does. And what sandbox elements there are... are quite empty, sadly.
My main problem with the game is the sheer amount of characters and how easily some of them just vanished for pretty big swats of the game. And it seems there are gonna be more... I want more time with Kat, damn it!

Anyway, good game, serious warning, you might lose a night of sleep playing it.

With all of the great reviews, I thought I would give this a try. I have not had a lot of great success finding decent adult fantasy games /VNs; unfortunately, this one was no exception.

I have to give the dev props for all of the work they have done. There is a whole bunch of content and there has been a whole lot of work done here. 5 stars for the effort alone. Seriously. Renders are solid, sex is pretty good and there are some unique locations I have not seen in other games. The characters are well thought out and there are a lot of interactions with a lot of different people and places.

The story seems to be well thought out but the dialogue does not really support the story and seems a bit rushed. The dots are not easily connected and it is easy to get lost and not know where the MC stands with the plot. It is also difficult to follow what your next steps are; there were times I just floundered and had to keep exploring random locations until I was able to move the story along.

Also, I don't think the game/story was really meant to support the "evil" path. In one play through I focused almost entirely on the evil choices yet the MC did not seem all that evil. I was expecting more "evil" interactions with the women. As it turns out, the MC is the nicest evil dude I have ever experienced.

Regardless, there are people who will like this so it is worth a download. I am glad I did and maybe after all the content is completed, the dev will go back and tighten things up. I will keep an eye on it for sure.

The game is really really really bad. Its just plot and plot and plot, some combat and more plot (which is decent, but dont expect complex dialogues or language) and some random sex in between, most of the time performed by others and totally unrelated to the Mc. It is lame fanservice, since you can not move forward with anybody that i know of, you just get sex "because".
There are stats of love and corruption for the girls but they dont seem to matter at all.
Sex scenes are not even average, they are pretty basic, by the way.
A couple of attempts at animation, one of them will brake you brain.

The plot is about someone who is super powerful but is finding every now and then other someone that puts him to sleep with 0 effort. This person is never told what is going on, it doesnt matter what moment in the plot or who he is talking to.

The ending i got comes out of nowhere, there is no indication whatsoever that the mc is a deviant who would desire that outcome. Its like " we know this shit is bad and doesnt make much sense, how about we give you a lame fanservice ending with another really poor sex scene"?

Dont lose time with this cause its not worth it.

After finishing playing 0.5 skipping the ruhsed fanservice ending I found that If I payed more atention to the story I would know that there are 2 women that are supposed to be MC sisters. Which after a chain of logic deductions makes me feel sad cause the sex scenes feel numbing, there is no added value. You say whatever you fuck that character, you go to the next one, you fuck that character, and in between you may not notice that 1 of those is supposed to play an important role, but since you treat everyone the same, and everyone pretty much responds in the same way, it feel like everything is a dejavu.

For those reasons everything surroding the sex scenes is not working for me.
As for the rest of the game, the plot gets quite contrived, and all the battles inbetween make the experience draggy. Since sex scenes are almost there but not quite, many characters seem to be copypasted, and visually the game is kind of average, specially lighting, the game doesn't connect.

The amount of "content" deserves praise for sure, but in my opinion is clearly quantity over quality. In my opinion if the quality doesnt stand out, at some point all the content becomes numbing, which is my case.

Finished up till the recent update, and I have to say this game is pretty darn awesome.

The story is very gripping, and the world building is really, really well thought out.
And the girls, well they're simply gorgeous to say the least.
Turn based battle system, while some may find it repetitive, I didn't mind at all, and trying different spells/tactics for different foes was pretty fun.

Really great game, and definitely in my top 3 favorite fantasy adult games in this site, if not my absolute favorite.

This game, has the best system of choices I’ve ever seen. I hope that the developer builds even more important choices in each of the paths.

Honestly it has been a difficult task to find another game with the freedom of ataegina! I'm happy that this game is unique and deeply original. one of the biggest gems on this site

Ataegina is one of the best stories of any adult game you will find, it has a bit of everything and plenty to keep you interested, honestly i would happily play this game even without the adult content.

The art is top quality especially in the locations, there was clearly a lot of effort put into it but while the human women are great the non human women could use a little work.

Its nice to have a more normal MC in regards to women but the MC dosent learn, at one point there are four fake illusions in a row and every single time the MC thinks its real never once thinking maybe its a trap and i should not just do as they say, the only other problem with him is you cant change the MCs attitude towards anyone no matter your alignment or relationship status in the story parts of the game.

While the game is really good it does have some flaws, its a sandbox game with turn based combat but it dosent need to be and would be much better as a straight VN, almost everything you have to do in the game you have to do in order anyway, there is loads of unnecessary map movement(where you only have one thing to do or you have to do in order anyway, same with point and click in rooms), negative alignment gives negative options but dosent change the character of MC outside of just after negative choices.

It has a great pace, not too fast that you feel rushed and never too slow that it feels boring and there is even a skip battle option for all the combat which is really good for replaying the game.

oh and one more thing please can we stop with the "i didn't kill you so i must be trust worthy" it's dumb logic right up there with children closing their eyes and saying if i cant see you, you cant see me.
