Unity - Aunt's House [v0.3.4] [AceStudio]

Innovative premise with the first-person gameplay, actually having an environment you can freely walk around, interactable characters. With more locations coming and possibly more character — maybe even the mom? — this is a very promising project with lots of potential. If you want to take a break from boring visual novels and ugly Daz games, this game is (will be) perfect for you. It certainly was for me.

I do have a few critiques, however. The dialogue, assuming it will stay the same, lacks polish. There's no tone, there's no uniqueness to each character and you can barely catch on what each character is feeling when talking. A character answering "I don't care" (written exactly like this) during an argument, across the room? With no caps lock to indicate yelling or at the very least a "!"? It can kind of make scenes less impactful.

Now, I do also believe the uncle's model is a little unsettling. Its understandable that he's by no means the focus of the game and I honestly would prefer if the character was dead, really, however, he's not, and his model looks off. His eyes are too round and big, and way too close together. It also seems he has feminine proportions, though I haven't really noticed. I do believe making him very slightly taller, same height as the player, with smaller eyes (and farther apart), with broader shoulders and flatter chin would make him look like a man.

Also, with the game's loud ticking clock, it makes you believe you actually have to do stuff during a certain time window before characters move or proceed with their tasks, except (at least for the time I played), the only way to move to a different time of the day is by taking a nap. Did break my immersion a bit given the game's premise, so hopefully, in future updates, time will pass by as you walk around the house, do chores (assuming there will be more other than washing the dishes) or interact with characters. That would absolutely would cause the player to think before acting and choosing which characters to build a relationship and which ones to leave aside, assuming the game has an ending. If it does have an ending, forcing the player to choose across characters and goals would also add to replayability.

Critique aside, I'm very much invested in the game and will for sure be following its development. In fact, the main reason I posted this review, other than feedback for the creator (which seems to be active in here, thankfully!), is to properly follow the game. Excited for the public release, wish you the best!

    DEMO REVIEW

Well, sadly it's "just a demo".
But honestly, it isn't "just" a demo. These first few minutes of gameplay were amazing. The art is wonderful and I really enjoyed the way dialogue is presented (even though sometimes I would mess up the position and make it literally impossible to read).
There's not much of a gameplay yet, but the characters presented are very interesting and I love the plot.

Lots of potential and I can't wait to see more.

One of my favorites! I love the animation, all the interactions, mechanics, character design and all that was made. I'm in love with this. I'm looking forward to the next updates. :)

Bitchin' aunt. One of my favorite game setups and the comedy doesn't make want to kill myself. The gameplay is a little jank but pretty unique (different at least). I have high hopes for this project. Hope the dev doesn't take the money and run.

A promising project, I hope for its further development. It's a pity that the demo version did not show much gameplay, but even in this short demo version the potential is visible. We will wait with impatience, dev :)

I can't find any content here to enjoy... I got to a point where I got a text after being shown my room.. looked here, a comment said to restart the game... I had to go through the entire opening sequence about 5 times in a row before a text popped up, so I wasn't soft-locked...

and then breakfast went on with a hitch, then a scene before the blonde girl's boyfriend came out, and me, MC being no-clipped somewhere asking what their milf is doing... and then after that, nothing...

I couldn't get anyone to talk about anything, click em and "Nothing" would show up... tried morning, afternoon, and night... skipped days. Couldn't leave the house, couldn't interact with anything/anyong..

As far as I can tell, there's quite a bit of content here but no real way to access any of it due to the immense amount of bugs/softlocks/hardlocks...

It's a shame really, because the opening really had my hopes high.

So game is very enjoyably. Interactive things make game in some way feel that you are main character and all events splashing all around you. I really liked story line. Overall great project will wait for updates for sure. Also hope its not another money hole that will be abandoned in few months

Solid start for v0.0.1 i think. For now it's like 30 min. of gameplay and it really interested me. To me, an antifan of VN's with infinite lines of poorly written dialogues here it's well balanced with freedom of game, and not gameplay at all.
Characters are interesting, graphics are simple but quite estetic, animations are little dull but it's matter of time and are waiting for little "tunning".
I give 5 stars, because it's really good game, and it deserve to be tried

It's really promissing, I like the whole moving around, doing tasks and choosing what to say, it's more immersive that way. Can't wait until it has more content since right now it's really barebones to give a 5 stars

Not much yet but it has a lot of potential. The characters/game look good and the text is done well. For a first version it is everything you can expect of it. I can not wait to see where this will go to.

Good graphics, well-developed movements even in the demo version.
I hope the author will work out the storyline, since this is a demo and it is excellent, I expect more new poses and interesting content from the developer!
    The game has great potential!
