This is now in my top 3 lewd games I've ever played. Very high quality art, music and even very solid writing. The only thing that's missing is sound in scenes and perhaps a bit more animations instead of stills. Still 5/5 I binged it within a day... Couldn't stop playing for 12 hours straight I'm not kidding, that didn't happen to me in years even with triple A games.

    Review for v1.00.0

This game always caught my eye for a very long time now due to it's unique, pixelated visual style, but put off playing it until the game was fully completed. And here we are.

The TL;DR: It's a great game with some amazing visual details and a recognizable art style that make it a visual pearl. However, there is a few minor inconsistencies with said art, and i found the ending particularly lackluster as it is currently implemented, along with a few issues with how the gameplay, story and quest arcs flow.

    Let's break this down.

    Graphics
    PROS

This is obviously by far the strongest point of the game. The visual design and details of both the characters and the environment make it shine and truly stand out on it's own. The way shadows, lights and various objects are presented and cast in the game make it a very compelling, and beautiful experience. Plus, the animated sex scenes are INCREDIBLY well made
    CONS
Sadly, i did notice quite a few inconsistencies with the sex scenes and animations in particular. Many of them aren't animated at all and are basically slideshows. I understand they are very likely difficult and time-consuming to animate, but it's still a shame to see relatively few of them having movement and animation. The few that does are all stellar tho.
Then, some of the sex scenes are clearly of lesser quality. No shading is present, the forms and shapes are simpler and less complex, the color range isn't as deep, etc... This would be passable for minor side-characters and such, but quite a few of the important ones have these.

    Gameplay
    PROS

This is by far one of the most surprising elements of the game to me; many of the implemented gameplay loops and mini-games are surprinsingly fun and well-made, an anomaly in a RPG themed game where grinding stuff endlessly and dealing with boring and annoying minigames is usually the norm. I found the dungeon diving mechanics (Melkor's Realm) the perfect amount of balance in terms of simplicity, combat mechanics and fun. The mini-games in particular are quite well-made, well-designed and there is a refreshing amount of it, leading to quite a bit of variety.
    CONS
The first issue with gameplay is that, hilariously enough, there is not much point in grinding anything at all once you get to a high level and you get some decent pocket change in your purse, making most money-related jobs completely pointless. This is due to the fact that you really are using the money only to purchase quest related things and beyond maybe buying some ingredients directly from the few merchants there is in the game. You have the brothel that you can buy and "improve" but those are really just a bunch of silly fetch quests where you talk to people, craft a few things and that's it. Not exactly a money management marvel.
The biggest problem however with gameplay at it is, is that there is just a lot of complex mini-games or game elements that are used once or twice, then never heard from again. The nice dungeon mechanics you learned and leveled up for? Completely pointless for the "ending", where all of the events are dealt with in a cutscene. There is various mini-games for gathering firewood, training archery, running after Ohro, etc... that are basically many examples of this and create an issue of "unique" game mechanics being developed for a very narrow purpose. Ideally, you want to develop mechanics that are used throughout the whole game, or at least used repetitively, otherwise, you create a big problem of feature creep and significantly complicate and lengthen the game dev time.

    SEXXXX!!!!
    PROS

There is definitely a large amount of sex scenes with a great variety of characters and creatures. Some of the animated sex scenes are by far the most exciting and beautiful pieces of erotic media i've seen. The few that are animated, anyhow... All main romeancable characters have at least a few scenes each, with some of them having more.
    CONS
The game's sexual content variety is fairly vanilla (Blowjobs, handjobs, vaginal and anal.). This is not something that i mind usually, i enjoy vanilla a lot, but in this case, a lot of the scenes tend to mash together and basically be "more of the same" in feel. There is nothing extreme or remotely "intense" overall. There is a lot of hinting and texts about breeding for example and pregnancy, a type of content i massively enjoy, but there is never any scenes or at least some end-game content about it. Basically, the game's sex content is amazing at first, but quickly can become stale at the end.

    Story and characters
    PROS

There is a lot of different fun, diverse and enjoyable characters in the game, and surely quite a few of them will catch your eye. The characters themselves are generally well-designed and well-made. They have their quirks, the preferences, often they are into something in particular or the other, etc...
    CONS
Sadly, most of them just fall heel over head to you helplessly on their own. While it's fun to have a few characters like that in the mix, it does make it very "easy" and ultimately boring when talking to a women politely will just have her suck you off in the backroom five minutes later. Then, for a lot of them, there is no real conclusion or end to their story arc. For example, i very much enjoyed Lily, the librarian/alchemist, but beyond her initial scenes, you can't do anything else with her, and even tho she hints that her kind likes to bound with a single mate for the rest of their lives, there is no such possibility here. A few other minor characters such as Gerald, the cave monster is pretty funny to find at first, but once you complete the two quest tied to him, he is basically completely forgotten about and has absolutely no ties whatsover to the main story beyond that. There's lot of many such examples and that lead us to the biggest problem of all i have with the game.

    The ending
Quite frankly, the ending just suck. Story spoiler ahead, you have been warned.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Anyway... Basically, you don't get to see an ending at all. It's basically just a conclusion to a relatively long quest. Bleh.

    CONCLUSION

Despite all of the issues i have with the game, it's actually been a fun and interesting experience. It shines for it's unique and beautiful artstyle, well-made mini-games, decent music and atmosphere, decent characters and more. It clearly took a lot of time and efforts to make, and i can most definitely appreciate that.

But it's held back by the lackluster type of sexual contents, pissy ending, unconclusive and chaotic character arcs quests and such.

    Easily a 8/10

    ANONl

    Overall: 4/5
    Art: 5/5
    Sex Scenes: 5/5
    Characters: 4/5
    Writing: 4/5
    Plot: 3/5
    Gameplay: 4.5/5
Amazing game if you just want to jerk off. The art is incredible and the sex scenes are very hot, and there's not much text to have to go through. However this makes the plot feel kind of empty as all the girls just sort of fall in love with you instantly. There's also several minigames which were relatively well made and fun to play.

Really good game. The save system and journal make it forgiving and accessible, but its still fun. Many different mechanics are introduced and neither overstays their welcome.
Ran into a couple of bugs, but the graphics, gameplay and non-verbosity make it a 5/5

A quality H-Game. Unqiue art style manages to stay hot and pay homage to early RPGs of the past.

For a 1.0 launch, it is suprisingly polished. A variety of mini games, but the "main" dungeon crawl element is the highlight of the gameplay

Phenomenal pixel art work! The portraits seem a bit inconsistent to some CGs though but it's fine. Story is workable. Dialogue is cheesy sometimes but it's aight. Minigames were there to spice gameplay up but some of 'em overstayed their welcome (i.e the defense minigame and the dungeon minigame). Both of those were actually fun at first but they dragged on so much that they weren't fun anymore.

    Still, great game!

For the record there is no grind, you gain levels like every four minutes. You really just need to make sure you grow your garden. Also there are some of us who remember clearing 30 levels of the mining mini game to get 1 topaz frag. That was the real grind

Anyway, for anyone who's been following this game the last stretch just feels like a cop out, clearing the early scenes with the town girls is the best content then after that it's just running through okay content. Overall i would say Aurelia is a 10/10 game that slipped into being above average at the end.

Alright, i tried this game a few time over the years and i liked it when i played it just to fap. Now, however, i play the games for the story, and this game don't have a story at all. There's a bit of something that resembles a plot, but it's so weak, fractured and devided, that I would prefer it not to exist at all. The game doesn't have a good guide and you need to spend a lot of time to figure out what you should be doing next, sometimes even if it tells you. And oh god, THE GRIND, this game is drowned in grind, even with cheats you are forced to spend a lot of time grinding and searching for items, ingredients and whatnot. Another problem for me is that the game don't have a difficulty change function and some battles are really hard, the Vampire for example took me 3-4 tries, even with all buffs that you can get in the world and potions it was HARD. I just want to enjoy the story, man, even if it's bad... The characters are completely uninteresting and plain in terms of their stories and life experiences. The game feels sluggish because of FPS lock. The only good thing about Aurelia is art, IT'S.JUST.THE.BEST pixel art i've ever seen in adult games, the artist did an amazing job. But sadly it's not enough to enjoy Aurelia.

Well, this is an example! well, the bullshit will be fixed considering that it is also planned to add several scenes! it seems like well, or I do not know how to get extra scenes and waitresses!

Great game. Very King's Quest meets porn (it's not exactly Leisure Suit Larry, it really is more like a King's Quest game, without the very old-school softlock deaths).

In terms of porn, it's at least good enough. If you're a pixel art connoisseur then this is an excellent mix of a wide range of girls and enough encounters with a few of them to be nonstandard.

The game itself can use a quick couple of fixes here and there- and where some people see "unfinished content" I personally see "sequelbait"

I don't think the plot is going to grip you as much as some of the better games on here, and the porn is not as good as other games on here, but it's only worse in both categories to a very very select pantheon of games on here. And only a handful of THOSE games offer a complete game experience. Fewer, still, are actually games.

Believe the 4's, believe the 3's, 2's and 1's even. It's certainly not a perfect experience. But I, personally, have given much worse games a 5 just for being only slightly better in story, only slightly better as a game, and only slightly better in porn. The fact that this game can be a triple threat while also being a complete experience that isn't so short is rare.

But it's absolutely true that some people might have a one-track mind, wanting a better story and not getting it, wanting a better game and not getting it, and wanting better porn and not getting it. The fact that before the release the game felt like it had more potential than this certainly doesn't exactly help. Still, easy 5 just for being a better as either a game, porn or story than your favorite game- even if your favorite game is miles better in 2 of those categories.

This game has it all,. The artwork is absolutely gorgeous and the mini games mini games are actually engaging. The writing is also not overly verbose and doesn't smell its own farts like most of these games.

Pretty good game with a nice ending too. (no epilogue thought)

Only thing i can nitpick is i think the dungeon scenes were wasted on unimportant monsters and could've done them for actual characters instead, but it is what it is.

Aurelia is an impressive point-and-click adventure game made by Mirthal in highly detailed pixel art and a sprinkle of rpg elements. You play as a young adventurous hero in your average fantasy world when a magic element is introduced to your daily life alongside a beautiful girl. From that on your job is to explore the village and surrounding locations, searching for new information about the magic around you and helping a long list of girls that will offer generous rewards. Between a numerous amount of minigames ranging from just fine to very fun, you will have to ponder like old in lucasarts games what to do next, taking in consideration the when and where things can be done to progress quests. The game has many smaller side stories for each character, offering a wide range of narratives to enjoy and be curious about. All of them lead to plenty of scenes with different girls, some in more creative ways than others. The main story is simple but very satisfactory while exploring details of a world of magic and deepening the relationship with the many characters at the same time. Since it has a simple gameplay, the main focus is on graphics and the content you can extract from it. Without a doubt, the game features stunning pixel art that ranges in quality from museum-worthy masterpieces to a bit less captivating ones. But every one is indisputably very well made. The animations deserve a special mention for their beauty and fluidity. The game wisely has an easy to access gallery where you can replay the dozens of scenes provided by the twenty four girls and even a long list of achievements to fill for fun and experience. The first full release still has some minor visual bugs and a couple of other wrinkles, but they are rare and far in between, not spoiling the enjoyment. Aurelia is certainly a great addition to this game sphere, being developed for a very long time but finally complete, showing all the care the creators had for the product, it is unquestionably a must have. That said, personally, I do miss the old theme music.

A very stylish and relaxed point and click adventure game. Wide variety of scenes, girls, and mini games to progress specific mechanics and sub quests. The pixel art is gorgeous and almost all scenes have some kind of animation to them.

A great game and great time to play.

Decent game with a great art style and a lot of scenes. The gameplay is broken into several mini-games, ranging from simple arcade game to a short dungeon crawl. None of it is amazing on its own, but the overall package is well above average.

Here is my review, recommendations for future updates/games, and bugs need to be fixed.

    Review:
The game is really good and having the character's mission available to be seen in the Journal is pretty refreshing. There is no missable scenes and if you did miss one, you can still get it. There are some things that could be added and changed for me to give it a 5 star, but I will discuss it in recommendations. The animations are really good and there is at least one sex animation for each main girl. The art style is unique and good and the gameplay is good and not that frustrating.

    Recommendations:
    • Tip section for unlocking characters (Slime girl is easily kissable if the player doesn't use the garden often and would be hard to figure out what to do.)
    • Animated Sex Scenes for Melkor Realm girls (Atleast for the bosses)
•Thrust and Moan Audio for Sex Scenes
•Journal Completion Text (When you complete a character storyline, you should have a "No more content" text)

    Bug Fixes:
•Journal Issues (Some characters have text saying to do stuff, Examples are Ivy, Demon Girl, and Brothel Girls)
•You could finish Crystal Storyline even if you never triggered the sex scene for Blackjack.
•Frog Girl still gives you the character tips when she transforms to Dragon, but the tips are not needed because of the Journal

Having coming back to this game over the years I can gladly say its lives up what I was hoping it to be the art is beautiful and the story is interesting only thing i can say is I hope the developer adds more to the game very much worth the time playing it.

I'm half tempted to give it three stars, but for the sheer quality of the art and content available I feel that would be unfair.

To keep it short, this is a beautiful game with tons of sexual images. There's plenty to do and discover. My main gripe of the game is that everything is shallow. Girls jump your bone almost immediately and despite there being a lot of colorful characters all the interactions feel empty.

Don't expect any depth, but if you want a beautiful scene hunter game you've come to the right place.

    InnominateBiped

A 'pretty good' H-game that's got some notable flaws keeping it from being great.

The discrepancy in the art is noticeable. Some scenes are great, while a number seem to have minimal shading or detail. It's a decent game, though the pacing is odd and some minigames are inconsistent or not all that fun. It could really use a patch or some polish. Not a bad game but not one of my favorites and while the art some of the scenes is really good, it's not the spiciest game despite a pretty broad range of women or activities.
