Unity - Aurora's Fog [v0.12.1 Demo] [CATINMASK]

The game came a long way since I first started playing about the same time last year, and it still has a long way to go, the dev is very active and dedicated to the project. The game itself has decent gameplay loops for the survival, quest and sex aspects that can keep you playing for quite a while, the game can be completed in around 5 hours if you want to unlock everything and know where to find the stuff you need, there is a perk and skill system, you can't get attribute points for now and the skills/perks level up at a moderate pace without feeling too grindy or too rewarding (at least for me), sex isn't the main focus but still a big part of the game that you can engage in whenever you see fit. Overall it's one of the few good 3D games on this site that are still in development and isn't marred by paywalling or drip feeding patrons to keep them hooked.

This game has a lot of potential.

Pros: Variety of characters that hit on several different kinks (catgirl, foxgirl, gnome, centaur, minotaur), Crafting/Cooking/Alchemy, good graphics and visuals, Night/day and weather cycles. The initial sex animations are very simple, but the latest/updated ones are a lot better and I believe the older ones will get the same treatment.

Cons:The map is bigger than it needs to be, but I think that all that space will be used in the future and may even be expanded. Combat animations aren't great.

I dont rate based on optimistic potential but the current state of game.

Good stuff:

- Game is pretty optimised for me, runs great.
-I like the idea of gameplay, you have perk points and skills.
-Nice exploration area, 1 village and some basic houses.
-Apparently theres some relationships dynamics, which i havent been able to see among many other stuff as well yet but it all sounds great, hopefully we see it eventually.

Bad stuff:

- I cant complete a single quest even tho i found 4
-Game asks you to explore to find fish and some herb stuff but i see a bunch 10+ other stuff everywhere but i cant find this 1 single thing i need.
-Its a small village with 10 almost identical same generic houses with 3 characters in it.
-Theres area outside village, a bunch of 10+ kinds of flowers, few wolves, 1 bear i saw, the area seems long but its not. Nothing much in there, empty space with nothing in it.
-I havent got to see quality of sex scenes but it seems like its there.

I see this game is added 2018 apparently, so after 7 years, i still cant complete a single quest or do anything. Still feels like a 0.1 demo.
The game is frankly overrated, its why i gave it a chance but it was disappointment

Excellent game with an open world, of course small. The characters are interesting, the models are quite elaborate, there are few scenes but I believe there will be more. I support this developer, good luck. The mechanics of combat and skills are interesting, there is also a grind system.

Great game with great potential and dedicated dev. Some very minor hitches here and there but I believe the dev will look after them all (he helped me fix some freeze and optimization problems personally, really patient guy). I can't wait to see a more completed version of the game climbing up the rank of this genre.

Of all of the games I have found on F95, this one is by far the best. I have been looking for good adult games for years now and only just now played this. Visual novels are fine, but lack in actual gameplay. Aurora's Fog has actual first person RPG gameplay; questing and skill progression, combat (although janky and in need of more work), a unique crafting system where you have to actually read the recipe(!) and gathering. Also monster girls and a gnome chick!

Currently four characters to do quests for and build a relationship with and have sexy time with them. Animations are high quality although there aren't many of them yet. Roughly 11 or so animations with a few variations that are unlocked by doing more sex!

Combat is simple and a little janky. Hit feedback can be improved with more noticeable staggers on impact and blood splatter. Only 3 hostile enemy types to fight: wolves are pretty basic, spiders a step up with the ability to poison the player, and bears. Bears will mess you up so don't even bother.

Lots of skills that are a "learn by doing" kind of thing. Not all are implemented but the ones that are function as expected. Use swords to increase sword skill. Cook and pick edible plants to increasing survival skill, brew potions and make healing powder and collect alchemy ingredients to improve alchemy etc.

Lots of perks to unlock by completing tasks related to the perk. Picking lots of plants will speed up the gathering animation, do lots of combat to receive combat related perks. All told there are currently 30 in game.

Story actually makes sense. You were attacked by bandits and rescued by the women of the village. From there you help out in the village doing tasks and improving your relationship with the characters in the game while also getting some sexy time action. Story is short at this point with roughly 4-6 hours of gameplay. But you can easily spend 12 hours if you want to see everything currently available.

I have experienced one bug. Once I sprinted through a doorway only to get bugged and stuck above the door in the wall. Save and reload fixed that but did lose about 20 minutes of play time.

Some mechanics are not well explained. In fact I believe the lock picking instructions are wrong. Press and hold space and slowly move the pick around until your hear a clicking sound. Then press LMB and move the lockpick all the way to the right...except trying to move my mouse to the right does nothing. You must move the lockpick to the left (clockwise) to unlock it.

Cooking and alchemy don't have much in the way of a tutorial. You are given resources and a recipe and told to make the thing. In order to successfully cook you need to read the instructions and do what it says (shocker). Add ingredients in the order the recipe calls for. For example Fish Soup. Add half liter water first (1 unit) and bring to a boil. So add water and from the window that pops up select "boil" option. Next clean the fish, add fish in next slot and select "clean" option. Then add turnips, choose the "chop" option and same for carrots and onions. THEN read the recipe to see the cook time, set that with the slider bar, select the correct pot/ frying pan/kettle, and also select the correct cooking temperature. That sounds like a lot, and it is. I love it! So don't forget to read and follow instructions. Alchemy works much the same way.

Graphics are a little dated. I don't know if character models are DAZ gen 3 or 8 but they look decent enough. Textures are good. The rest of the world isn't the best but this isn't a huge budget AAA nor is it a modest budget indie game. But it works. Someone get this dev some funding.

Performance is decent. My graphics settings are a mix of mostly high and some medium options running at 1440p on a Intel 12600k, 3060Ti and 32GB ram. FPS ranges from high 50s to mid 70s. A few hiccups now and again but good enough for me.

So just try it out. This demo is free. If you like it throw 5 bucks at the dev and help them keep working on this. The subscriber version has a few more quests than the demo but you aren't missing too much content. Oh and Shaartan is bae!

Really good game with big potencial. Smoothy sex animations, interesting quests. The developer is responsive and adequate, always prompts if something is unclear, promptly fixes bugs. The game also pleasantly surprises attention to detail, and cute monster girls do not leave indifferent.

Only bad thing about this game is updates seem a bit slowlyish, whilst not nagging about the dev on this, its bad for me / us cuz we cant play / see more of the game and where it is going.

This might come up harsh, but you should't rate a game based on potential and promise.
This game has a lot of problem, even for a demo, the voice acting is very stiff (note that I'm not criticizing the accent), performance issue, various bugs, lack of content (this is not the first release is it?)
Does this game have potential? No, based on what I've seen so far, I'd say the dev team are over their head. Maybe they will prove me wrong someday, who knows. But I'm rating this game base on what has been shown, and it ain't much.

Honestly, I see potential in the game. The rendering is good, animations are alright, however could use the slight clean up here and there. However, game-play wise, it's lacking.

I'm playing v0.29 as of now and there are quite a few issues.
- Quests. These never seem to disappear, even once completed.This said, the NPC's dialogue appears to not change from the last quest. For example, the fish lady, on the dock in the beginning, dialogue keeps referring back to solving the issue between her and the cat - and immediately chucks me into a blowjob.
- The sex scenes. For whatever reason, each one starts with a cum shot and ends without one. Not sure why.
- The quest to retrieve the mushrooms, when I'm told "this healing potion will help in the future", my game freezes and have to alt+f4 out.

These being the biggest issues I've seen, and the main plot of this post, it does not mean this is a bad game - despite the bugs, the sex scenes are smooth and well rendered. The NPC's are well textured - and unlike some games - not creepy. Again, the world is well rendered and textured and controls are pretty smooth. Can't wait to see more of this and hopes the creator doesn't drop it like so many other games I've seen.

An interesting game, a good setting and cute characters) but there is probably still a lot of work to do ... This and adding quests, dialogues, combat system and of course still sex scenes) Can system farms, to was its house and animals .A village to be attacked by looters and bandits. Or the ability to make a mess of yourself and keep everyone at Bay.There are many options)
