Seeking Awful games that get awesome over time

Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations of games that are awful at first glance, but if you struggle to accept appearance of the game / to go through beginning / to learn controls or mechanics / etc. - then you realize that this is one of best games you have ever played.

Good ol Violated Heroine?

Game is extremely dated, but damn does it have alot of content.
If theres any game out there that deserves a remake, its this one.
Hell... I dont think they ever stopped adding stuff to it.

...To clarify; due to its aged engine, small screen resolution and lack of skip function it can be painful to play it with our modern mindset. but once you get into the world and connect with the character... you can really make her your own.

Honestly I can recommend the good old monster girl quest, if that's your cup of tea. It's the very first nsfw game that showed me that adult themed games can actually have a pretty darn good story and moral dilemma.

Coming from the same teapot would be Bo Wei's early games, like Tiffany's Trap and Always in debt. They're both pretending to be an RPG and then turn into something else entirely. I always think of those two when thinking about subverting the player's expectations.
