Review of Build 6
This game is a testament to the intricate, rewarding journey that sandbox games can offer. While there is a notable grind, it adds to the feeling of accomplishment. To corrupt one character, you go through multiple steps for each stage of corruption, which makes every progression feel hard-earned and significant. Each step consumes energy, and with a strategic approach to daily energy bonuses from the college and home, along with regular training to raise your base energy, you can navigate these challenges effectively.
The graphics by Slonique are impressive, ranging from good to great. Although the game lacks animations, which might have elevated it to a 4-star rating, the visual presentation is still commendable.
Story-wise, while there's not a traditional narrative, the short dialogues and progressive scenes keep you engaged. It took me about an hour to complete the entire Build 6 playthrough, and I found the time investment to be a worthwhile journey of discovery. The repetition can actually become a rhythmic part of the gameplay, offering moments of immersion in the simplicity of the grind.
If you enjoy strategic planning and a sense of achievement with each progression, this game might surprise you. While it may not be for everyone, for those who appreciate the nuances of sandbox games and a steady build-up of progression, this game can provide a uniquely satisfying experience.
