Unity Bad Intent: Sharing process of my game

Hello, after reading the thread of Alex135 I think it could be a good idea to do something similar.
Before anything, I want to apologise about the broken english I'm probably going to use. It is not my main language so please, show me some mercy :)

I'm working on a project that is going to be... Another incest game. It is as an amateur that I'm doing it, on my free time (and, for the moment, I have a lot of it).
The area of the game is going to be "small", every thing is going to happen inside a Mansion(and also in his garden I guess). Every room of the Mansion will be explorable and they're is going to have secrets paths and other hidden things. The player will have to resolve enigma, find object, do quest to gain access to locked/secret area or quest item.
They're is going to have something like 10 Characters. The MC, his father, mother, big sister, big brother, twin sisters, the gf of the big brother, the gardener, the niece of the gardener.
The kinks are going to be voyeur, exhibitionism, corruption, cheating, ntr, groping, incest and probably more. And don't worry, the ntr will be removable but only when doing quests (something like with Erik, the beloved antagonist of BB).

About the sex scene; I think that the "act" of doing sex alone is a bit boring, it's more interesting what is happening around and before this. So they're is going to have sex scene but not much. On the other hand, they're is going to have many grope, voyeur and foreplayscene.
The MC is a sneaky bitch, he is likely going to do something in the back of people or trying to trick them to do something he want.

They're will be a cycle of day and night, and a week calendar. The npc will move of location depending of the time, the day and the progress of the MC in his quests.
Characteristics will have influence on the behavior of the npc with the MC. They're will be the classic love/affection/corruption gauge but also a stealth gauge for the MC and an alert one for the npc. The alert gauge will gain points everytime the MC say something bad, get caught or do something suspicious. When the gauge is full, the npc behavior toward the MC will change and they are going to be more carefull and suspicious about the MC and his behavior.
The game will have many interaction to do, even some hidden one.
I'm building it on Unity with Fungus. It's going to be a point and clic combined with a date sim.

I'm creating this thread because doing this alone in my own corner is not gonna work in the long run. If I post here, regularly, it's going to force myself to produce something. And I hope to have some thought, advise or constructive criticism from you.

Sorry I doesn't have any sexy drawing of the females characters to show you right now. But it's going to come, sonner or later.

If you are curious about what I have make you can try this buggy/broken prototype lol.
A quick explanation about the prototype: Menu are mostly not working, language is a mix of French and English(good luck with that), they're is pretty much nothing to do. You are probably going to be stuck and you will then need to relaunch the prototype(alt+f4 will be needed). If you still want to try it, here's a download:

Here is a gallery of all my Artwork for the game:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I'm going to stop to work on this prototype and work on a new project with probably most of the code I written and the assets/artworks I made, so it's not really a new project but just the continuity of what I was already doing.

I was surprised that I inspired someone! : )
Sounds interesting. Idea about concentrating attention aroung groping/foreplay, but not sex, is interesting, and actually it's true, at least for me, that sex scenes are mostly boring. By the way, my idea to improve it was to make a choice for player in the process of sex, so player could do what he wants and it would keep him interested.
Wanna say that I hate puzzles, especially in porn games, they make me bored when I want to see some titties.
And it is interesting to see someone doing his first game, when I'm doing the same thing! Curious to see how you will proceed. Good luck!

Yeah, I like the idea of the player being in charge when it come to sex scene. But beside the technical problem that may occur, too much freedom is not really interesting. See the Illusion games(those without a real scenario), making the characters is fun but after that it's just become boring. I get your point about the puzzle, sometime I just want to do the sex part of a game and skip most of the game. That said, it is a game so if I'm running throught it only for the sex scene and nothing else I may as well watch porn. But be assured that I'm not going to make complex thing like the enigma in Summer Time saga. I want them to be at least bearable and if possible, fun. :)
Well yes, I guess we are going to "spy" each other for the time being lol

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I'm more slow that I wanted to be in the process of meeting my objectives. Still, I have done some drawing, I'm working on the chara design of the dad of the mc. But as you may have guess, working on a male character is boring so to motivate me I have draw a female character. It could be the desing of the big sister of the Mc, I still need to think about it. Also, I'm learning how to code. I don't really need it now but it could become usefull later on. Now I think I'm going to sleep because I didn't sleep for two days and I'm not feeling well. I don't even know if what I just wrote is making any sense

Good evening,
I have made some progress on the Chara-design but nothing much. Most of my day I'm learning to code in C# so now my free time has been heavilly shortened. My progress will slow down but my skills are going to be higher so it's ok. :sneaky:

I don't really need C# now because I use Fungus but they're is going to be a point where I will need to do my own code. I will say that this game was my motivation to learn C# but irony of the situation, it give me so much work to do that I'm barely able to work on this project.

Lol. But why C#? I think, for the first project, best decision is ren’py, because it’s super easy and you can create anything that visual novel needs, with it.

Edit: by the way, this is the actual reason of idea that ren'py is good. Because it don't require to stop creating a game to create a game))

Renpy is NOT best for a first project nor is it best to learn programming.
Alex you could do this in renpy or unity, ue4, straight c, c++, c# , basic...

Learning c# will stay with you for a lifetime .HONESTLY.. id reccomend learning C instead then c++. C# is a very very niche language (for very good reasons). But if you want to learn it AWesome!
I also love it if what you mean is youre going to share your experiences.. i think that would be awesome.

Please note this is a DEEP rabbit hole. I wanted to toss together a 3d game with the flavor of DMD etc. Got sidetracked (im already a programmer.. many languages). Got a lil sidetracked.. learned and got decent at Daz3d, learned a tiny bit of Maya, relearned Rhino, 3dsmax. Learned the basics of using Unity and UE4. DEEEEEP down the rabbithole of 3d cgi now (and am shocked actually that it has become much more complex than programming). Good luck my friend.

BTW im very happy im down this rabbithole i love it :)

Maybe he should create his first game on Assembler

I'm learning C# for using it with Unity, I'm not really interested by others language for now. I'm more sharing the advancement of my project than my experience. I'm working in 2D so I don't have to lost myself in 3Dprogram. I'm fine with my PaintoolSAI :)
Anyway, thanks you.

After having spend days on the same illustration, I decided to do another method because I'm not progressing in the game at all if I'm only polishing one picture. So now I'm doing the sprite I need to work much faster, some are awfull, others just "meh". I don't need them to be gorgeous now, I just need them to be functional so it's fine.

They remind me a hobbits from a fairy tale, lol :D
I'm glad that you keep working! About C# – I thought it don't necessary to know C# to create a game, I remember something like templates in the tutorials. And I think, basic knowledge may be enough for the first game.
I think it is important to keep balance between tough learning and game progress, to not get lost in learning and never create a game, and to not keep the poor quality for years. I think, this two things should be balanced to have a good progress.
I'd find out how much C# knowledge is enough for creating this game, and learn exactly to that point, because I think you can study it for years to know the whole C# perfectly.
But I think you can handle it, whatever path you had chosen.

In a bad or a good way? lol . So yes, I'm actually learning C# and game-developement in general, pretty hard. I don't have much time to work on the sprites and the game itself at the moment( but I'm still doing it), but it's going to pay in the long run.

hey good luck !
Thanks you!

I'm just kidding :D I think they can be sexy, it's just kinda a new style of a drawing to me. The old farmer dude is especially nice, I'd couldn't draw him that good, like wrinkles and stuff.

Well, I believe in you, I hope to hear some news from you someday : )

So I was able to use Astar Pathfinding and make it work the way I wanted it to. I also made scripts who change the size of the player if he is going up & down(for a fake-perspective impression). Now I have made a change area script but I'm a bit stuck right now because it work in a way but not in the other way. I may solve the problem with time but it piss me off a bit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's an interesting idea to create walking animation. It makes image look like real. Nice!
