I think it would really help to either add a gallery or to add an option to slow down good content.
You can, with Cheat Engine.

Here's an updated version of my cheats with the static addresses. Click on the active button to stop the white meter from increasing and change the number from 0 to 1000 at your leisure. Enjoy the animations.

Vergence has 1000 health. Genesis has 850 health. If either of these two numbers don't pop up, try restarting the stage.

you don't know how much I like the drawings of this game, I can't wait for it to be complete
I hope you are prepared for a very long waiting time and most likely the project getting abandoned or lack a lot of the planned content.

From a game control standpoint it is very improved, its still super jank but a lot better than before, you dont have to hold the button down and hope it reacts, it actually reacts quickly and doesnt lag when you press buttons now. Performance is back to normal, rebind keys actually works, the actions work. Attack animations are still very chunky and unresponsive and aircombat is just very bad with never being able to turn around until you hit the ground but you can only attack which direction you are facing. Menus sometimes don't work at all if other things are still very slowly loading or transitioning. Movement is a lot better now in terms of feeling like an actual game but it still has so much work that needs to be done.

The only thing i am still amazed off by this is that he is still kinda "working" on it.
He abandoned so many projects that looked very promising.
Do not get me wrong. I am happy as the next one, if they do stick to it, since the game itself has a lot of potential. (Still hope for some kind of way to make your own character, name him, train him and also disable content you do not want to see with him.)
But that remains to be seen.
I recall this Amber sex game project they got so much hopes for and got a lot of money out of it, just to abandon it in less than a month. So yeah.. My expectations are low as they should be.

This is functionally impossible given the frame-by-frame nature of the animations.

Not as impossible as you think it would be. The characters aren't all animated by hand directly. All the different colors are basically just swapped out from the original.

That is pretty much how you could just make "template" characters like a dragon, a wolf or whatever and just let the player pick colors on it.

Pretty much. its mostly time consuming and fairly awkward if anything interacts with the player as it wont ever line up or fit properly. Would mean restraints in what interacts with player or stuff not going in the right places.

Accessing palettes would be nice. That's the one thing we could have access to reasonably.

I bet they won't do that. Its not even a problem of "too much work for too little gains".
They already have several things that would make creating palettes much harder.
"Sprites are not pixel-perfect" + "gradient coloring" + "some shading is on sprite" = you need to rip all the sprites apart, make the palettes, make the procedural shading (all of it).
So, no. They won't do all of this when they can just make a set off palettes and compile them into spritesheets.

Honestly, I remember liking the first BB mainly cuz of the animations and the simple style of it. Now, it's just a buggy mess that doesn't even work half the time. Not even the enemies are coded properly, so they either go apeshit on you or are just pathetic to look at.

I'm surprised this isn't labeled as abandoned yet lol.

Ironically, good games mostly get abandoned...

I need some help with the game, it won't show any UI when playing for example it won't show the minimap. Any ideas on how to fix it?
