You're right about BTQ but have you seen it's quality? It's basically a 2 hours movie with a ton of animations to do, it is a fucking masterpiece for the people in the horse fetish (not for me tho, it was too much).3 years is long but the quality demanded it.The same thing here.Supporters pay 6 bucks a month (not much if you are working) to see updates on release, news, new content, get the content a week before release and smth
The "cost per month" logic argument is flawed and has been debunked many times. The amount pledged is not the issue but rather the return on it. Most anyone can afford 6 dollars, but is it really worth it logically? Take those 3 years. From announcement to final release for BTQ 4 and 5. In that time, subs were expected to pay over 200 dollars for about an hour worth of content. Or half for about 25 minutes or so of content. BTQ 5 took nearly 14 months to make.
Lets be real. A non zero, but near zero number, pledge to see WIP reports or various previews. Which is fine. Some are into that. But the near full majority sub to get content quicker, or more of it. His subs get their content 1-2 weeks before the public. Quality is near the same or 1080 v 720 which isn't much different on the screens 99% watch it on really. This isn't some AAA title or high video/pc game needing 240 refresh and 60-120 fps. Its horse porn. So is 6 dollars and month, or 72 a year, worth it getting content 1-2 weeks early when youve waited over a year in some cases to get it?
This time around, its been about a year and half since he returned "full time" to BITS. (and over 4 years in all with even some of those older previews looking far better than any current preview shown). Subs were supposed to get a first build of BITS back in Nov 22 and didn't get it until May 23. Over a hundred dollars for a demo that seemed rushed imo just to get something out after being 3-6 months beyond his own first release window. We were supposed to get ours shortly after but it was dropped in favor of a full on release to all. That itself has been pushed back at least 3 times... and let's not forget that trailer he spent 6 months making stating the aforementioned Q1 2023 first release. We all knew it was a lie and essentially chum for fresh anons to eat up that didn't know his history.
AP problem has ALWAYS been giving dates he knows cant be met and he continues to over estimate his own skills. Still all that aside, how can you explain that with nearly every BTQ episode, he posted nearly carbon copy posts for each stating various tech problems and other similar issues? Does he not learn from project to project? At what stage does one ascend beyond such problems in the first place?
The same could be said for BITS cycle too. How many times did he start/stop/start again for the first time motion capture? Why not show that process? And with the data mining of the teaser and now in his own words saying content he said was in the game will not be in game? Why show previews you know aren't in the game? Why bait and switch so much and for what? Why do dated previews from 2-3 years ago look better than what he's doing now? Why do timeline of various posts do not match up with the start-stop process for whatever hes working on?
Ive seen this posted a few times here and dozens of times at that cancer blog. I for one totally understand it.
"AP spends more time creating hype rather than creating content... and shills for both sides will argue forever while he sits back, laughs and collects either their money or their clicks."
AP loves anyone talking about him, good OR bad. But lets not pretend he's some SSS tier content creator or truth teller in any fashion. Hes neither. His quality with BTQ was great yes, but was it worth the headache and the years it took to actually do it? And with BITS,his sub count actually lower than when starting BITS development this time around. That alone shows hadly anyone wanted this let alone asked for this to be made.
