And done, great stuff although Red constantly getting cockblocked was a bit mean lmao. We gotta have a full Red sex scene next update to make up for it. I'd also love for us to get closer to Coco, I imagine Rivet actually wouldn't feature in the next chapter as they'd be gone for one and then pop back up in the next. That seems like it'd make the most sense. The discord invite in the game also seems to be busted.

Interesting little game. Some details aside my biggest gripe is probably that it's really a kinetic novel so far - you click around between scenes but as far as I can tell it's just a single linear sequences of scenes. Even some choices that are just for characterization would have been welcome (as see this has been addressed in the discussion already). That being said it was pretty enjoyable for what it is. Interesting setting and style for sure.

More a personal gripe but not a big fan of ending scenes by holding leftclick (or keyboard key). "Hold mousebutton" for me is an action that generally shouldn't be used at all in control schemes (unless it's something like continuous fire or whatever). Even an End Scene button somewhere to click on I'd prefer I think.

Personally i dont mind the sketchy art to speed things up, but i would avoid blatant placeholders, they kinda break the mood. Also the lack of any new ero scene was a bit sad, though i liked the story part.
Actually let me reinforce my point. Placeholders are really bad and do break the mood, not just "kinda". Let's take the slum scene. The sketches here do their job fine to convey the action and what's happening. Then let's take the granny or the bedanurse placeholder. What do two circles and a nurse cap convey to the readers that you already not know by the story? Nothing, save the fact that the game is unfinished. It breaks the immersion and holds no meaning, i would rather not see them at all then.
Also, on a less serious note, i thought Coco was naked until the end of the scene at the bar. I understand what the artist did, but with Coco being a ditz that just splattered the coffee on her i wondered if some sort of gag was goin' on, with the MC playing nice.

I knew there's a reason I avoided it.

Got through all the content, and now i need MORE. Good luck, that's one cute story. Looking forward future updates.

P.S. Miss Red is a cute lady. Hope to see more of her.

It's all just illusions of choice, why are they even there?

Yeah i had the same reaction, “im on the job i shouldn’t smoke, oh I have no choice…okay peer pressure i guess.” And then “I’ll save the bot since the guys are targeting them and not me, …oh i died…okay then.”

The game is just a VN at it's current infancy state rn so I wouldn't expect much choices until down the line. Hell I feel like they shouldn't have the map with a lot of buildings to click on since it just looks like......empty placeholders, or maybe they're really just placeholders

You mean the Discord invite at the end of the game? I just checked that one, and it seems to be working just fine. Perhaps you are blocking NSFW servers in your Discord settings? Or maybe Discord thinks you are underaged for some reason.

One of the most commonly requested features was to add choices to Bedabots. We told people that we wouldn't be able to add any meaningful choices whatsoever. They did not care. So, we added non-meaningful choices, and here we are. We do not have the manpower to add proper branching narratives, and we do not wish to spread ourselves thin.

then you shouldn't have tried to bow to them in the first place especially with choices like these two. now choices on the other hand that would simply reveal more worldbuilding or such which then loops back to the selection would imo be better.

There's a difference between non-meaningful and fake. You could have choices that do little more than change a handful of lines within the same scene, that would be a non-meaningful choice. Having a 'choice' where one option just immediately dead-ends you or that just loops you back to the choice is frustrating.

I don't really care if Bedabots has choices but I'd much prefer if they were the type that changed one or two lines than the two choices currently in the game.

No bowing has been done,
TT has been against the idea of including choices into the game from the beginning of development, mentioning similar reasons , but I insisted because I liked the idea myself and got exited about imagining different scenarios.
I've been brainstorming on how to implement some more choices in the prologue section,
which, just like you mentioned, could expand on some worldbuilding and such, and would make a better fist impression,
But we're gona keep moving forward right now.

The fact that the first case of choices were these two was more about us experimenting and testing out how a system like this would function and to see the reactions.

In the first choice, you get a few more lines, a few more panels, and another little glimpse into Rivet's personality, and I wanted the scene to be a bit gag-ish too!
On the second one, I've been really obsessed with the idea of the game having bad ends, and letting you collect them all, so I wanted to test the waters a bit with this and had some fun.
Like, hey, I don't they're that bad!
We discussed adding some more flare and effects to how it loops back,
but ended up coming short on time.


Personally I would like to try out more of these and see if we can come up with more interesting scenarios,
we'll see how it goes.

I used the version from the website and it worked fine, so I guess that's a fix for anyone with that problem.

Honestly, I liked the way it went. We got a set of CGs that we wouldn’t otherwise see (how could I see a death CG if there’s no choice leading to death at the beginning of the game?)

I get the idea and I don't have a problem with dead-ends, it's very much just that it's (currently) the only two choices in the entire game.
It's good to know that it's due to experimentation, rather than it being the standard.

Every aspect of the game is completely unfinished, or the completed art is made to look unfinished so its harder to tell whats actually unfinished.
The game is just Event > Map screen > Repeat even if the event is at the same location because...? Don't ask questions.
