I played it and liked it my one gripe is the same as the last game in that the story pushes you toward the one "correct" girl (or at least thus far it seems to)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not all about "happy wholesome pure sunny white smile" endings, I actually love bad endings myself as they are a nice twist not everyone can stomach.

I guess many players took the story to be a romance+drama with some comedy elements... So they felt weirded out by the introduction of psycho-thriller type elements in the end; i.e. they felt uncomfortable due to the sudden change of tone of the story.
Also, no one liked choosing between Megan and Melissa. Many felt like it was unnecessary tragedy that the game forced upon them.
