He hit success before this, unless you don't count Acting Lessons as successful.
Yeah he did not hit success with that he was only on an ascending path, he hit big with this one... the guy clearly comes here pretty much begging for help with this game but you don't see the irony... but you are right there is no sense for me to try convince you otherwise...

So technically, going on a date with a girl, paying for everything and ending up in bed with her counts as prostitution?
No. Paying for a date & paying for sex are different things completely. A date is usually used as a social interaction with a byproduct of getting to know a person. Regardless of intent. People may think that because they pay for everything on a date that sex is implied. But it is not guaranteed.

Paying for sex is completely transactional. You are paying for a service. Spending money on a person you are courting or are currently in a relationship with is not the same thing. Buying a girl chocolates & she gives you a BJ is not the same as visiting a brothel & paying for sex. Unless chocolate is the currency she takes.

Being OK with early promotion leaks doesn't mean you have to be OK with people stealing the game for years. And thinking a guy has the rights to his own creation isn't asskissing.
I am inclined to side with you on this because yes it sucks to have your own creation leaked for free especially when its supposedly your main income. And death threats just sucks and is simple reminder of how shitty humans are. But lets not pretend this site is killing DPC income or whatever. DPC would have 0 income and would never be able to get sustained from this if not for freely posting his game on itch.io. He was willingly posting his own games out for free hoping someone give him money volontarilly, and its only now that he found bunch of "benevolent benefactors" who is paying him over 100$ each month that he is having strong opinions on how this sites work. i mean game is being sold on steam for like 10$ or something (its a bit more than that), i understand why he is desperate to keep his patrons happy, but in the same time its the patrons who leak to these sites in the first place so go figure. My point is, f95 is the source of his income far more than it takes from it as majority of his patrons first saw the game here, tried it, liked it and decided to support the development. So its a bit more nuanced than "boo hoo they are playing game for free"

Please show where he begged for help. I must have missed that post.
But no matter what, posting in this forum does NOT mean he consents to people pirating his games for all time. If you truly believe this, I hope you never work in retail.
If you go to a candy store and the owner gives you a free sample, that doesn't mean you're allowed to eat the candy there anytime you choose for the rest of your life.

But you are posting here, so I guess that means any game you would create will be free forever, right?

well what you just said is exactly why some of us advocate nicole is not a prostitute because money is part of her job as stripper and you pay for lap dance. Sex on the other hand comes after and on her own free will and she does not ask for extra money, just like how after you pay for a date its on the date to choose if she wants to sleep with you

so by your logic, even after you get married, if you buy your lovely wife flowers and then she sleeps with you she is a prostitute?
sure, and the flower dealer is the pimp.

But paying for a lapdance and the girl decide to give you something extra is? And you said a sexuall encounter and money is involved.
paying for the lapdance is already a sexual transaction. i dont see much difference between strippers, hookers and porn
actresses.

But if you don't pay for sex but still get sex? That was my point. He said anytime money is involved, it's prostitution, my argument is that if you don't pay for the sex it's not.

again, its not that simple. I mean, imagine alternative. instead of working the way he does, simply work on the game for years without patreon, finish it without feedback, and then put it out on steam for sale. yes he would probably sell lot more copies because people would not be able to play it for free but also the amount of money he gets from sales would be pisstake compared to what he gets from patreon each month to have people feel involved in the process (not to mention whales who are paying hundreds for a name in credits)

I agree on most of what you say, my point is that just because he used to post and because this site made his game more famous doesn't mean he loses the rights to his own creation. Not being OK with the game being pirated is his right. Just because he was OK with it the first 2 episodes doesn't mean he has to be OK with the game being posted here forever.
And he's not alone. Many games here have a statement that the Dev is not OK with it being posted here.

I think you're playing a game of semantics. If you pay Nicole $$$$ for a "VIP Experience" & with that experience comes either a BJ or anal sex, I'd say you're paying for sex.

If you believe that the "VIP Experience" was just a lap dance & she added a BJ & anal sex to the menu because she liked you, that's fine. She does allude at the end of said interaction that other girls do similar things.

paying for lap dance is not sexual transaction its a business one. A clerk that sells you a flashlight in the adult store is making a business transaction. just because you gonna go home and fuck that thing does not make a clerk part of sexual transaction

What's everyone's thoughts on the relationship viability for the main girls or side girls?

Majority of the side girls are either;

prostitutes - Lily, Nicole, Mel, Sarah, Rio, Quinn, Mona, Cammy, Sandy, Rose

strippers - Lily, Nicole, Sandy, Rose

teachers - Cathy, Nora, Bella, Jade

in a relationship - Elena, Heather, Sally, Tara, Josy, Maya, Bianca

That leaves very few girls to have an actual relationship with at the point the MC is in during the events of the game. My question is, would you be okay with being in a committed relationship with the above women or would you stick to the few girls to not make the list (Zoey, Jill, Sage, Becky???)?

P.S. Some of the "Vixens" would probably work. But because there's no seeds or path or have a lot of information about them yet I didn't add them. No Karen, Christy, Tiffani, Gina, Yoga Girl.
I'll stick with Sage, Jill and Nora. Bella on one hand is one of my top pick, but my problem about her is that she is technically still married to James so that's a huge red flag

yes on these things alone i totally agree. Its just the sad side effect of the culture. I mean without this site they cant get patreons, but once they get patreons they can never get rid of game being on this site because its those very patreons that leak on the site. so its like damn if you do damn if you dont but this is better outcome for creators. Its one they dont like but realistically the one that gives them best income. they just get greedy eventually and are unhappy that its 900% better than alternative instead of 1000%

physical contact with a person and stuffing a dick into a piece of plastic is hardly comparable.

Well, it's a bit unknown. Are they separated, did he run away with someone, did she do something that made him run away, did she murder him?
And will DPC give us a satisfying conclusion to that or will it turn out to not be as bad as it looked?

i agree. one is contractual deal between two individuals that does not involve sex of any kind (lap dance involves no penetration or promise of happy ending) and other one is mindless tool you use to cum. out of the two its clear which one is more sexual
