So Probably open a can of worms here but what is the consensus of MC's family from his mother's side being a Burgmeister?

One could argue the idea may seem cliche, and to be honest I wouldn't fully disagree but let's be honest how many cliche moments have we had in a college themed game that still either worked or were meh in the end.

I'm more leaning the MC is a member of the Burgmeister family even though he won't ever go by that name.

The reasons are from a surface level aspect -

1. His mothers family is coincidentally left ambiguous (even the start had the grandfather's head missing just showing his suit) and we are nearing the ending of the game not many episodes left to bring a random powerful rich family and the idea of just saying well his mother's family was rich feels a little lame.
2. MC's mother hung around in similar social circles to that which Jill does now. MC's bother hung around with Bianca's mother (Assumed) and Jill now hangs around Bianca. Meaning the family circles are super wealth.
3. The photo in episode 8 showing MC's mother used to live in the same house as Jill does now.

Now for more theory elements.

The Jill and MC romance seems to have a little bit of a Romeo and Juliet aspect of it. (Not saying like for like just saying elements).

Even some of the characters involved in their relationship seem to be Romeo and Juliet themed 'Tybalt' being the main one of course. In the play he is the main antagonist really to Romeo (who we assume here fits the MC role).

In Romeo and Juliet we also have the main two houses (Montague - Romeo Family) & (Capulets - Juliet Family) maybe just a coincidence (but why the hell not speculate) but maybe this is to match Burgmeister and Royce.

Rusty may perhaps have Mercutio/Paris element to his character (maybe pushing a little to far with that...maybe).

If it does follow that trend I hope Tybalt doesn't kill Rusty and MC doesn't kill Tybalt for revenge

I can't quite remember though maybe some can help me with this. When MC and Rusty are talking on the rooftop during the Halloween party Rusty says to the MC he feels a lot closer to him than the other guys? (I could be making some of that up but he says something similar). Either way perhaps this is DPC giving a tease that the reason for that is they are blood related.

Now I know I've only really come at this from a MC and Jill side of things. Perhaps others can maybe find other links but I throw that out to you.

it's not just the drama it's also the slow romance as well I heard from a freind who played this game that actual romance with sage only starts at like ep7 I don't know if he is right or no though

You can't really compare whose romance is fastest in this game. Everyone has their own type of drama and their own form of romance. Who the fastest one is depends on the player's values.

To me Sage is the one who has progressed furthest. She is the one who has gotten actual wife vibes. Everyone else is still at the girlfriend stage. Apart from Bella that is. Her wife vibes are really strong too and they turn up even earlier, but she is held back by the baggage of a failed marriage so you can't really compare them.

Which was the point really. The romances are so different that any comparison becomes massively and unfairly reliant on what the player values. So what we say about it doesn't really matter. Which romance you consider best will be up to you and you are going to have to play it all to figure out which one that is.

If MC is related to the Burgmeister family, he doesn't know it. As bad as he is with names I refuse to believe he doesn't know his mother's last name. And it is last name not maiden name. Lynette and Neil didn't get married. However, MC not knowing his grandmother's maiden name would be downright expected as his grandparents want nothing to do with him. It could be Burgmeister. Or there is some other way one of Lynette's parents is a sibling to one of Rusty's grandparents which would make MC and Rusty second cousins. They can't be closer than that as neither Lynette nor Neil had siblings.

It definitely happened. At the beginning, DPC also frequented the forum, so it could have happened a long time ago.


But DPC does not accept any criticism (except then trying to patch up, rather obviously, his rather criticised choices ).

The game works fine without the patch.
Is this a patch compatibility issue, or did I install it wrong?

If it works without the patch, but not with the patch, it would suggest a compatibility issue with the patch. This is where you'd need to ask whoever provided/made the patch though, as opposed to people who didn't provide/make the patch.

Oh there are definitely going to be revelations about Lynette and her parents. And those bombs are going to drop in the next episode. Starting with how Lynette and Bella were friends.

Actually a Cocker Spaniel is a pretty good fit for Jill. Hmmm... There might be a fun little game in this. Josy is definitely a Jack Russel Terrier, Maya is a Border Collie, Sage is a Golden Retriever and Bella is a German Shepard.
