I say belated because I've been in here since July 2018. You may have seen posts of mine here and there.
Like many here, I am working on a story for an adult game. I have a few questions for the community as to what paths I should take.
The game will be an adventure mystery with a very strong adult theme.
A female protagonist with many choices to either avoid or embrace.
Many quests/storylines that may or may not stick to the main storyline, depending on how the player wants to play.
I want there to be many stats that affect game play but also want there to be many choices even when it might go against the flow, although these should be harder to go with.
Overly ambitious? Yeah, but that's what I like in a game, so thought I'd try it.
It will either be done in Ren'Py or HTML. I can see arguments for and against both. What do you think?
I can't stand 3D graphics, as all of the characters look like dead-eyed mannequins to me. My 2D artwork isn't that great, so I am thinking that creating AI characters might be the way to go
What is the best AI artwork to use for this purpose? Free or otherwise.
It will initially be done without audio as I usually find it distracting and turn it off ayway. I may add it in when the game is done. Maybe.
This will be my first and probably only game so I won't post anything until it is right, so it may take some time.
At this stage I probably won't even monetize it, as it is a labour of love.
