I find games here by looking at "Latest Updates" and setting to weighted rating. One game I like, WVM, doesn't show up there. The ratings got tanked because people were pissed about broken promises about the release schedule. What other games deserve a far better rating than they got due to drama or other factors not related to the game itself?

If a game with 582 reviews doesn't show up on the first few pages of weighted ratings, it's not because it's being "suppressed" by a few haters. It means the general consensus is not as favorable as you think.

Simple, don't use weighted rating, ratings are dumb in the first place...
Use views if you want to know what people are actually playing, and guess what, your game shows in the first page there.

Nah, views are a pretty shit method too. All it does is show off what games have been popular throughout its whole life cycle. Meaning that older games have a massive advantage compared to whats actually currently popular.

For sure, I never said it was good, but it is a lot more reliable the the alternatives right now which are ratings and likes, both that are not only also linked to popularity but also even less realiable because you are relying upon "porn critics" on a pirate website where 99% of people just download what they like and move on.
Just ask yourself, how many games of all the ones you played from here have you rated?
