Hi guys, I have been a part of this community for the past 5 years, enjoying the games and comics very much. I like to think that I'm a creative person and had written scripts and worked as an AD for several short films. I have some good ideas for a game that will be more story-driven than sex-driven. I have no experience in 3d artwork, coding or programming. Now the main question is: what is the easiest way for a beginner to create a game which will be acceptable and enjoyable as an adult game? I already have twine and have been tinkering with it. Will really appreciate replies because I want to become an important content creator in this industry. Thank You!

I mean, you're being super vague. It's hard to give any clear cut advice without knowing what you intend to do. Do you want to use real porn? Then Twine should be your choice, macros are a good place to start, as well. The twine games subreddit is a big help, but anything more complicated aesthetically and behind the scenes will require a bit more experience.

Do you have a modern computer with at least a 1070 (though a 20 or 30 series Nvidia GPU would be much better.) in it? Does your system have a good bit of RAM in it? A somewhat modern CPU? Then you could perhaps give Daz a shot for 3D rendering (or even Honey Select, for that matter, which requires far less horsepower but comes with the tradeoff of having not-so-great graphics. Ren'py basically require no coding for a kinetic novel/visual novel beyond 'if' statements, showing images, and perhaps a way of tracking numbers/points for relationships. Most of which you can find on YT.

With no experience in either coding/programming or 3D work, it'd be hard to recommend Unity/UE. Alternatively, you could always go to the recruitment part of the forum and join someone else's project as a writer while you pick up the ropes of the path you'd most like to choose. Then there's the whole marketing aspect of adult games, which many just simply don't do well in.

Best way is decide what you want to do before anything else. Asking us what is the best way in is not going to help you in honesty.

Choose HS, twine or DAZ, Blender. THen choose Unity, RenPy etc...
Once you have that, have your story/characters planned out already. Create points per each episode of what will be happening in each episode.

Then kiss your ass to freedom good bye as you'll become a gaming bitch and serve to create your game religiously if you like what you do. If you do it for hte money not long into making your game you'll start to hate it and probably end up on the "Abandoned" list.

thanks for the reply and yea my main goal is to make games in renpy(vn style, interactive) using daz 3d but like i said i dont got the expericence and i dont have the money to invest in buying props. i thought that i would start with text based games using real porn and then after some successful games invest in making a high res and a good daz 3d renpy game. what do u think about this? or is there a better idea?

Personally i'd rather do what i want to do from start. Jump in on the DAZ train. DAZ / renderocity has a lot of free assets and if you dont mind pirating stuff then here on F95 you'll find a lot etc...
I don't believe making real porn games that those devs earn as much as DAZ / Blender devs can make.

MrKnobb is basically right, just be aware you probably won't be making anything top-end if you want anything rendered in a reasonable amount of time. So no 2K/4k rendering. 1080 should be pretty decent though.

If you do decide to take the twine route: Take some time, jot down your ideas. Make sure the models you're using actually have a fair amount of video/photo content to use, and then keep an eye for models that appear similar in appearance. For example, what I'm doing with PJ is using Alessa Savage as the main model/pornstar, then using Aria Alexander/Veruca James where needed for more applicable scenes. Decide if you want to do a more linear story (Such as College Daze), or more sandbox-ish (Life Choices, Young Maria, etc.) or maybe something in between. Take some time to learn how to code.

That will depend on you. What you willing to do per scene. Meaning have rows of text showing off just one image every 1min or so. Or have 4 images for 2-3 lines of dialogue.

For 1 hour play which is long that would be roughly 4 months work, if i use my schedules which is work from 18h00 - 11h00 or 0h00 at night each night and weekends whole day.

Setting up scenes or renders takes the most time. Then rendering and the finally coding takes time. I'd say for first release take yoru time, aim for 250 images or 350images for 1st release. You have the luxury of no one knows who you are so you can take your time to get your first release well made. Then it's updating every 3 months or less if you can.

Well then I guess there is no easy way lol, everything takes time and hard work. I mean, working for 4 months on the same topic or game will be tiring and testing. I thought I would release an update every month easily and move on to the next game. Maybe I will pour in the work and get it done or maybe not, I don't know for now. Thank you for the info and pointers guys, its really helpful for an aspiring adult game creator like me. :LOL:

is there any specific site or threads to get the whole package of images of a pornstar/model?

Not that I'm aware, you might be able to find website/OF leak/rips, but I couldn't tell you where if they exist. There's Google Images, of course. Just searching, for example, "Madison Ivy gifs" will bring up a ton - of course, depending on the pornstar used. You have , as well, much higher quality than Google, but usually less of a selection. If you want to make HD clips for it, you'd be best off using webm/compressed mp4 files. Spankbang allows you to download HD (iirc) as long as you have an account. Take it into any video editor (Openshot, Shotcut, DaVinci Resolve) and cut out a part of the clip you want to use. Render it out, put into said scene, and repeat with either another part from that video or a new one for a difference scene.

guys one final question and maybe the most important one. I'm from India and daz3d operates in dollars, as far as I checked, every asset in daz averages between 15 to 30 dollars, it can be an acceptable amount for people who uses dollars and pounds but it is too much for us who are from India. (20 dollars = 1,500 rupees) Imagine buying 10 assets which is 20 dollars each, then it comes to 15,000 rupees. for comparison earning 25,000 rupees per month is considered decent in India and my rent for one month is 10,000 rupees. Sooo, any solutions?

Easiest? Don't use Daz3D, use Honey Select, or Sims 4 or another game that has a lot of free player made assets.
Another alternative is to stick to the limited free stuff.
The hardest and most time consuming, but ultimately best option is to learn 3D modeling and make your own/edit assets.

The most disheartening part about getting into game development(and any creative endeavor for that matter) is learning how limited you are by your skills and budget. You have to come to terms with the fact that you will never be able to make the game you have in your head, you have to scale back pretty much everything and learn to compromise. Learning that and not losing your spirts because your game is not at all what you originally wanted is one of the most important skills you can have. It's incredibly easy to come up with cool ideas, but it's incredibly hard to come up with good ideas that are actually doable.
