Lots of different endings, check the wiki for details. The MC is a bit of an idiot which is sometimes annoying, but otherwise the writing is pretty good. It often feels on rails but then again this is a VN so there's only ever so much choice. The ren'py version of the game is very well developed allowing for easy skipping of scenes up until a decision point making it a breeze to check out the different ending paths. I would say play through the game without checking the wiki first, it's more fun that way.

Played v1.11 on Android, all endings. I had no idea about the history of the game or series prior to this review.

It's a fairly interesting setting where a dumb highschooler gets his hands on a magical book that allows him to wreak havoc. Partway through however, the plot shifts to instead stopping the evil antagonist from performing an evil ritual. I'm surprised most by the amount of occult research done for the game, with a surprising amount of incantations, but unfortunately the only actual magic seen on-screen is just a few burning talismen and a ritual circle (no cool demons or angels for you).
The majority of the novel is endless sex scenes, and every female character has at least two scenes. None of them were particularly satisfying in my opinion, unfortunately, but at least they are well drawn.

It's a decent read, but it's hard to connect to the characters when the sheer amount of sex scenes makes it feel like eating a cake that's all toppings and no crust. The sole moment when Minase and Imari showed any real character was when Imari finds Minase having sex with a brainwashed Shizuka. Imari pretty much has a breakdown while Minase muses about how he feels nothing for Shizuka since her love is fake. . It's not a bad novel, but it is not particularly spectacular either.

I had no issues with this port whatsoever. Everything worked fine as is, with the only thing I'd like added is a gallery. The game itself is considered one of the OGs if you're old enough to remember, but for the port itself here 5/5.

A much better and more stable engine behind one of the classics of the genre, that manages to keep even the look of the UI. They are also making regular updates so rapidly heading towards having all the original content.

This is an all time classic VN and it's awesome to finally have a Renpy version.
It's definitely outdated in some aspects but the lore and illustrations are still interesting to this day.
Kitami Reika in Kurumi's body is still the hottest.
Definitely worth revisiting now that it is more readily available.

First, a big thanks to Bible Black Ren'Py for a 5/5 port of this game to a platform that's easier to pick up.

Like many others here, Bible Black was one of the first hentai I ever discovered as a teen, and I love that the illustrations and sexual events in this game feel true to the original. It appeals to my sense of nostalgia and even has a few famous scenes from the hentai while still diverting enough from the original story that I don't know what's going to happen next.

My problem with this game seems to be fairly common in Japanese eroges: pacing and the illusion of choice. There are thousands of words of filler/slice-of-life beats in this story that don't move the story forward or effectively contribute to character development. To spice up this filler, the game will periodically give you two choices--but they don't mean anything.

Some of the choices will straight up railroad you like, "You try to do choice B, but are pushed into Choice A instead" while others simply change the next 2-3 slides but have no impact on the rest of the story. This storytelling device gives the game the appearance of being more interactive than it actually is, but left me frustrated when I looked back and realized how much time I wasted reading filler text while sitting on a stock image of a school or a house.

Overall, I give this game 4/5 as a fan of the original IP. If you're not a Bible Black fan, or dislike the aforementioned style of storytelling, you may find it less enjoyable.

It's weird to review this game because one one hand, you have one of the GOATs and this is an easy 5 star, and on the other you have the port part. Do we score entirely on the port part? I haven't had any issues. The game is long so I'll admit to not being a beta tester for every line in this review. I just saw it was working and dropped 5 stars.

I won't spoil it, mostly because you guys probably have seen the same things I have. But this story is great. Really hits that plot > porn vibe where the plot is "SEX WITH CRAZY PEOPLE IS SCARY" so the plot is also porn.

The OG! Can't wait for this amazing rendition to come to life. Due to its age a lot of the younger gamers are not aware of this gem! Thanking the developer for actually bring this legendary title to renpy!

Legend returns! Bible Black is an absolute legend of adult gaming, good to see it in this easily playable state and without annoying technical complications like virtual disks and small resolutions. I like the game more than the series. Hope to see this project finished.
