FYI, I'm not a beginner at programming and I use Tweego, not Twine. :)

Not a fan of renpy and will never use it. Also questioned the engine as I've never heard of it and think renpy is above said engine was curious why it was used.

" Twine is a lightweight, browser-based tool focused on text-based narratives with simple branching and easy learning, while Ren'Py is a more powerful engine specifically designed for visual novels, offering greater control over visuals, sound, and more complex game mechanics "

Was curious why not start out heavy but dev said the language/syntax he is familiar with. No need to champion renpy as I am learning unity.
I won't argue with one thing - unity are a cool engine.
I play with it from time to time, creating light puzzles and other games.

But if I need a text game without powerful functionality, then these two engines above will suit my task well.
It's easy to create games of this type on them and it doesn't take much time to test.

But if, for example, I'm going to make 3d or 2d games where I want to use not only text, but also puzzles and cool mini-games, unity are 100% my choice.
Because there is clearly more functionality there and it will be easier to do it.

But most importantly, the potential for the unity to grow is greater than those two engines.
