RPGM - Completed - Black Souls [Final] [Eeny, meeny, miny, moe?]

This game is a masterpiece. It's not really a H-game because you don't play it for the H, though you can get turn on from it. You can easily see the un-polish, rough artstyle and it fits well to the theme. It has a very high replay value for its game mechanic and story. I already replayed it three times and will do more to explore all possible aspects.

- Gameplay: hard but you can beat the game easily with smart strategy. The world is very large but it has many interesting features that motives you to explore. For combat I see many people use cheat but I can tell you that you can combine certain skills for impressive damage, which can kill the bosses in 2-4 turns at max. Hint: magic is OP, don't go physical route if you want fast and smart battles.

There is no armor but ring and weapons only, but they are pretty diverse. You also don't need to seek for secret gears because the normal ones are good enough with upgrades. I collect secret weapons and rings for the sake of collectibles only, rather than the uses.

- Story/plot: story is amazing, dark and deep. There is a plot twist at the end for true ending but you can guess it easily with many hints through the game. You will have to replay at least twice or thrice times to get all endings, and more if you want to aim for full H-scenes collection by yourself (instead of using the "Unlock all scenes" mode after getting the true ending).

You will get B endings for first blind playthrough. Then A end as fake end. Then D as a bridge to true end which is C.

- Art: not mean for H-stuff, but it works well for a dark horror RPG game. Though I actually find the art style cute and it turned me on.

- Music/sound. Perfect for the theme and it's so on point. I really like the BGMs as it fits well the maps/themes and the sounds are fine-tuned. The critical hit sound effect is good that you can tell the impact.

Overall it's hard to find big flaws in this game. Though there are certain unclear triggers in the game if you want to get full H-scenes, unless you use walkthrough. But I think it's ok if the game is good enough for you to experience it completely and explore it yourself.

This is my first review ever on F95 because the game is too good to not write a review for it. I definitely recommend you this masterpiece, you won't regret.

Came for porn, stayed for dense climate and world full of despair.

Fighting is alright, there is no real need for grind but I've done it anyway cause it was fun. Plot is simplistic, but gives you direction.

Climate is main advantage in my opinion. Music is more than good, writting is excellent. In this world, there is no place you are safe in, and you feel it. This world is brutal. Evil. Everything, everywhere, will try to murder you, with smile. And the fact this dark, twisted world is filled with corrupted versions of known fairy only adds to this. Worth to give it a try.

Oh and you don't have to play good samaritan here. If you want, every character can be raped or murdered. Or raped, then murdered. It's your choice if you want to help to save the world, or corrupt it even more.

Story was interesting, original along with great plots and twist by hints that later reveal greater pictures of the outcome of your decision, since they matter a lot.
Characters even minor had good backstories and were not hastle in anyway.

The grinding was just right, enouph exp and rewards, along with items of great varity and weapons to choose fitting for classes and proper leveling of them and youself.

An amazing RPG turn based combat like almost no other.
The artwork is soo well done, an artstyle that has the dark environment it describes and gives the story of the game, the sexual artork is one new to me used in H but fits in either way because of the world around it.

Not a fan of the majority of RPGM games but this is a good one, the porn is alright, the art is also alright but still kinda charming in it's simplicity, what's fun is the gameplay.

Would recommand for other people who generally can't get into RPGM !

This game gives me Undertale and Fable vibes besides the Dark Souls(obviously). Art is not a big deal, it gets the job done if you're immersed.
Only inconvenience I had was the enemy encounter and respawn rate which can be avoided by a simple magic or an item.
Other than that it's a pretty good game and remember I said it reminds me of Undertale ? Hence you might go for an another run to get a different outcome, just FYI

The design feels rough, so I bought it while a little worried.

Black Souls is truly a masterpiece among RPGM games and I'm not talking only about hentai games I mean RPGM games in general. The strongest point of it is the story, and my god what a story it is. It's going to blow your dick and your mind as long as you dig the artstyle. It's rough but adds so much more SOUL to the whole experience. Speaking of experience, I strongly urge you to try to go as far as you can without leveling. This game rewards playing smart so juggle equipment, use items and try to find the right strategy for each enemy. This way you'll make the most out of the battle system.

Also YOUR FIRST PLAYTHROUGH HAS TO BE BLIND.AVOID SPOILERS AT ALL COSTS IF YOU'RE READING THIS AND HAVEN'T FINISHED THE GAME, CLOSE THIS TAB IMMEDIATELY. This game really hits you hard in the feels and you'll probably spill more tears than semen. So again watch out for spoilers, they will ruin the mood of the scenes completely.

If you still want more, play the Red Hood spin-off, it didin't age that well but it will give you a couple of hints about the lore. The sequel is like the first game but bigger and more polished so prepare for even more suffering. Any questions you have will (meaby) be answered when the third DLC comes out.

just wow this game is realy something special, the art may not be for everone but even tha you dont loke the art you may fall in ''love''or betrayal for the story, all of the endings show something ''special'' about the plot.

So when it comes to RPGmaker games, more often than not I'm unimpressed. There are exceptions, of course. Lisa and Witch's house come to mind. But overall, they are often far too derivative of eachother.

Black Souls is also derivative when it comes to combat. But the world and story are simply fantastic. It starts out simple, just defeat four princesses, but sooner or later you'll begin picking up small hints that not everything is as simple as it seems. That's when it begins to blow up into a narrative that is not only immersive and deep, but also heartrending.

Play it. It's one of the best H games I've ever played.

I mean, its dark souls. But with all the porn fantasies you might want. What is there not to like?

It does not explain everything to you, it doesn't exactly hold your hand. Exploration is rewarded.. when there is no death around the corner that is

They should add horror in the tags, so many enemies that makes me very uncomfortable. The fight mechanics is very rpg maker like, not very fun to play around, as soon i got the invisible skill, i tried to avoid fighting a lot, just when i had to grind for souls that i stopped using it and btw the use of skill outside combat is so annoying. But that is just the cons. The game is very good and hard, much like a souls game. The art can be the main problem, too rough, but still a great game

Completed every single end. I don't remember being so much f*cked up by ending before. This game is something. It took me a while to find the first campfire, then to find the right path (this way I goes into wrong direction, was slayed, grinded hard, gone there again, slayed, grinded, became unstoppable, occasionnaly beat the game and JUST AFTER THAT I found mermaid). For some reason, I started to hate this game, but I was curious to find out the end of it. It was mistake. Every time when I've come closer to the end with high hopes... They were buried. And then true end... I've seen too much of suffering, I slew with my hands the ones, that I adored... It doesn't worst of it. THEY DON'T DESERVE TO DIE.
Btw, True end is something that f*cked my mind. After hour after beating the game, I finally decided that I need the second part of this sh*t

I am not going to talk too much about this game because if i wanted to say everything i have in mind after playing this game i would write so much that i would spend a whole day so...

At first i laughed that someone made a hentai Dark Souls, but to be honest this game really passed some of the feeling of playing a souls game, but the combat is kinda broken and there's a lot of complexity to all the NPC quests lines, i really like the art, the lore was good i enjoyed it, AND THIS GAME IS HUGE it took me many hours to finish it this is one of few hentai games that made me feel like i was playing an actual game, i really liked all the girls and the interactions with the bosses when you call for them in battle.
After i finished the game and some months passes i saw that the red hood girl got a separeted game for her and i played it a bit and that game is just like this one and to be honest this game took me so many hours to finish that i don't ever feel like playing/finishing the red hood one.
I am giving a 5 star because this game was sure a unique one.

I'd play this even if it wasn't a eroge. The scenes and art may not be the best, but they're a lot more rewarding than traditional rpgs. The fact that this game has so much depth in both the combat and the plot was staggering for me originally, and I doubted my every move. Did every thing I do matter? Does every action I make have consequences. The answer is yes. Yes they did. This game gives you more freedom than you'd think, so make sure to save often, and think things through.

If you are looking for JRPG porn version of Dark souls, then you found it. Actually it's a... talesouls ? Because during gameplay you easily can recognize at least little red riding hood or town musicians of bremen. Like in Dark souls, you can find many good looking locations, world is big and interesting to explore, killing bosses, looting them and feeling yourself getting stronger makes you happy. BUT, you may be bored farming to powerup youself (to get further), because of boring fights (but slightly different from default fight in rpg maker, which is at least something fresh). But despite that, game is awesome and made me get all endings.

So I just finished Black Souls (ending C) and I have to say the game was very fun better than I initially thought it would be. I left a four star review because of the first hour or two but after playing it non stop (more or less) I'd give it a TEN if I could. That being said if you dont like "the grind" of rpgs use a save editor. Lastly the story is beyond fucked up yeah rape and murder are bad and people should be punished for them and if you do in game your punished in an interesting way, but the "God Mary Sue" is FAR BEYOND fucked up play it for your selves if you dont believe.

Even I don't play turn based rpg's anymore, but this game got me hooked and even got me to buy dark souls. What a story, hentai parody got me to get the actual game.

So, what do I love about this game? Every. Action. Matters. Even the lack of action has consequenses. What a move!

Wether you're a Dark Souls fan or a erotic rpg fan this one is a must play for everyone. I'm not exagerating when i say this a toptier Rpg even without the porn (Although it's a great plus) Hands down the One of the best games you'll find in this site. Cheers to the developer, because it shows the love put into this game. Everthing is perfect, the world is rich, you'll want to waste hours searching for every secret. Has a lot of replay value too, due to some brilliant decision making system

The game is very good, both for the porn and the gameplay. It really does emulate dark souls (pardon the cliche) with how the world and characters change and move about as a result of your progress. The art is fairly simple but supplemented by the writing which thankfully has an excellent translation. The story is also surprisingly deep and dark. Seriously, I'd say it's even darker than dark souls in tone, which makes sense since this would be rated A. The only qualm I have is how grindy it can be for a while. You'll feel underleveled for most bosses, but once you get certain spells, abilities, and items it actually gets really easy to take out the bosses in one or two turns, so just hang in there if you're having trouble.

One of the best h-games I've ever played.To be honest,at first,I only played this cause I was looking for some unique h-game and this game pretty much hit that spot especially its rough sketches . . .But today,Im playing this for the story and less for the h-scene . . .but well,still can't remove the fact that I like h-games ,especially a game that makes you feel like a pokemon trainer . . . . .gotta catch em all . . .finally:
