Edit: Yup one more thing if possible... Can you tell me how the actual story began? From the real world, if it's known. BS2 is the first I played from the franchise, and I don't really have enough time to explore it nor the other ones, with my job and all. I will be most grateful.

The alice memories tell you most of how it began.
After that, there is a time skip to BS 2, long enough for 64? loops to take place (you can check by killing Node and reading the book she sits in front of at low sen. The number increases every time you loop). The events during this time skip are somewhat explained from the flashback bears in Winterbell as well as hinted at in the chaos dungeon content.[/ISPOILER]

Maybe, maybe not. If you listen to the radio, it seems to hint that it was a scenario designed by Mary Sue to break Carrol.

I'm on my third cycle (68 based on lore) and I don't see Blackwells at Cathedral, did anyone know why? I has a few guesses but unsure
Blackwell starts in ludwidge near the asylum and moves to the cathedral bonfire after you beat the boss on dodgson bridge (distracting beast). Stays there until she moves to the crypt at 10 progress. If you're looking for her letter, you need to talk to her at the bonfire before she moves to the crypt. It will be where she was after she moves if you did it right.
I guess it can be because I was progress this cycle really fast and out of "order". Basically I let myself get kidnap, wake up at slaughter house, go to carroll river, then dlc 3 and meets Florence before Blackwells. But I do meets Blackwells in ludwidge

Your SEN may be too low. The elevator stopping and the lights turning off are intentional to scare the player. Just wait a few seconds or start spamming some keys until it starts working again.
I just found out this and didn't know if anybody knew this, but at the elevator go to fuming forest from the rabbit hole, if your sen was 0 or lower, you will see Alice's body while elevating

1,099,998 hp, 199,998 mp, 109,998 other stats. You can't go beyond this even with buffs or gear but it still keeps track of how high over you might be in the case of gear that reduces stats. Speed has somewhat of a soft cap at around 3k where you don't get any benefit from it anymore.

as the walkthrough stated, i need to get killed by something to turn into a soul and go to some hidden path in the mushroom village, but i'm always ending up on some campfire... why is that?
