If it happens it happens. Devs of different games have been attacked for less.
F&H managed to breach mainstream and dev got harassed.
TokTuk for some reason made Saya no Uta hip and trendy again and oh boy people yet again had strong words for the Urobutcher.
Andy and LeyLey a by my twisted standarts a rather tame game was found by the cookie cutter crowd and the dev had to go hiding in rl because they found out where she lives and their parents.
I agree that the various tags are huge filters in itself. But i have seen Blacksouls grown over the years on social media. Even several mid seize to bigger streamers either talked about it playing it offline or made lets plays.
All it takes it one bigger streamer to say fuck it we ball and it will breach mainstream.
Never underestimate the malice of terminally online people playing warriors of justice on the net.

Yeah sure, one big streamer could prop it up, that's how fnaf which would've died if markplier didnt pick it up
Issue is though, if they're a mainstream streamer they'll have to play with the lewd content off, which might actually improve people's perceptions of the game if they remain ignorant of the fact it's a porn game
