Is there a missing file? I can’t seem to open the game. The fonts were missing, and after I added them, some audio was missing and the game kicked me out. Could it be a problem with the download link? This is my first time playing this kind of game. The first game runs fine, so I’m wondering if I’m missing something to play this one. I already have RPG Maker installed.

Other possibility that the download was corrupted or that the program you used to unpack messed up the name encoding.
It seems like some files are missing from the download. I tried downloading the file on my phone, but it’s the same — the fonts folder is still missing. The audio files are missing as well. I’ve already tried almost all of the download links. I guess I’ll just play Black Souls 1 for now.
Does this developer have a Twitter account?
I see a DLSite link in the first page, but I can't access it in my region.
Is this the dev? It also has a link to a pixiv account that looks like his style.
His last pixiv post was a couple years ago, but his last Twitter post was 13 hours ago. Looks like that last Red Dead Hood image was posted March 17th.

So it wasnt Nightrain but Final Destination. Semi confused what the "Onii-chan" comment was at the end unless its a teaser of the Grimm brothers little sister.

I can't find the mermaid voice. I've looted practically all the shiny stuff which the guide mentioned but I am not seeing it.
Does anyone know where is it? I think I combed the entire fish market including the area with the fog but I can't find it.
The guide mentioned it's close(?) to the corpse with dispel and I'm there, but nothing.

Yea that's the issue, I don't see it.
In fact, I went through the item list and don't see anything resembling it (on the save editor so I could confirm what item is it).
Is it some important consumable for the story?

EDIT: Okay nvm. I don't think I'll be able to get it. I'm on ver 1.5 of the JP version and I don't see it at all. JP wiki did mention the item so it's either added later on or some dlc item (?). Oh well I'll skip that part then.
Guide says they exist as shiny items though? Haven't fought a single mob.
It says: loot. I've gotten every item this guide mentioned so far minus the voice.

There's at least three mermaid voice. From the bonfire: Go out the right lower exit. Go left and there should be one next to the rope here (to the left of the red/white awning). Then go south, west from the "praise the fish" bloodsign, southeast from the statue, and then east. You should end up in an area with a bunch of tables. There's one voice at the top of this area next to the shopkeeper fishman and another one to the south and west next to a salt bag (the barrel next to the ropes in the top right of the screen shot you posted earlier).
I don't know why it wants you to find them specifically when there are lots of other items around and you can buy them at carrol river which I guess it is taking you to next and there probably aren't any silencing enemies on the way.
Basically, stop following a guide.

I just want to be able to get all endings hence I'm using a guide.
Also, I went to the places you mentioned and saw nothing, either I looted all the shiny stuff and didn't exist or it just didn't exist right from the start.

So yea, it just doesn't exist. There's no 人魚の歌声 aka mermaid voice. There's like, no more shiny things to loot anymore.
I'm giving up here because if a save editor doesn't list the item it won't appear no matter how much I try finding it.
I'm just gonna proceed and hope it doesn't affect me getting the endings.
EDIT: I noticed a few guides are pasted here. What did people use exactly?

Why ruin your experience by limiting yourself to the single straight pass?

After my 3 blind runs i did look up this thread. Took a look at the guide. Compared ending requirements posted here by users with the guide. Mostly this i didnt follow them step for step. This way i managed to perfectly clear the game. Which is like 98% because you cant protect every NPC in their questlines.
The only time i followed a guide step by step was for DLC3/Winterbell. Because at that point i didnt want to miss NPCs questlines from the get go.
The more you play the game the better you understand how the runs and loop works.
